New Crysis community!

Post » Sun May 31, 2009 1:16 am

Hey everyone. I have been working nonstop on our new sub-community page:

http://www.reddit.com/r/Crysis/

I hope it will grow larger than the forums here mainly because it isn't being controlled by a huge corporation and is essentially managed by the Crysis community (you and me and everybody!).

I am trying my best to fill it with interesting Crysis/Crysis Wars/Crysis 2 related content, but I mostly rely on community support to keep everything interesting (videos, stories, images).

In preparation for the Crysis 2 multiplatform launch in March, I have created a player register where you can put your console gamertag or Steam username or whatever your PC gamer display name is, and find other players in the community to play with you! As well as preferred gamemode and availability, I was hoping to make it easy for people to connect with each other and enjoy playing together.

I also have been planning to get a huge semi-competitive tournament bracket arranged if I can get enough people to be interested in it and, hopefully, the whole thing would be a load of fun for people.

Since crysis.reddit.com is community run (and not corporate controlled, e.g. swear filters, ban-hammers, etc.), it would definitely outperform these forums in regards to content and quality (at least I hope).

If you guys have any issues or want to add sh!t to it, please let me know. I don't know what I should do to it anymore to make it more perfect than I already think it is (I am mildly obsessed + unemployed).

This site has no swear filters and "ban-hammers" are used in order to make this place a better overall experience for the majority. I'm not so sure your post is an advertisemant for the expansion of the Crysis community as much as it is a shot at gamesas moderation. If you have suggestions on how this can be improved, feel free to contact us directly or post a thread in Feedback/Support :)

Either way, i like this idea. Any further expansion on the Crysis community can only be a good thing! Good work :D

I never meant to state anything about the gamesas moderation, in fact I have always had good a experience here thanks to you hard working moderators. :D

In regards to the quote above, what is considered totally fine by one individual can be seen as absolutely offensive by another. This is why we have ridiculous laws in certain places of the world (United States cannabis laws, Australian & German video game regulation). I just wanted a place where I can state my opinion and not have it destroy my ability to state more opinions.

As for suggestions, I would greatly appreciate the ability for us all to be able to delete our own posts.
