New to Crysis. Have some questions.

Hey I'm a huge KZ fan but KZ3 has left me wanting much more.

So im coming over to Crysis because the second installment of this game looks amazing.

My only platform is PS3.. I heard that Crysis is a port for PS3 and therefore will not be as good.

Do you think it is worth my time getting Crysis 2 for the ps3 or should i look elsewhere for a dif game?

I really wanna get it but i dont wanna waste another $60.

Well, if you wan t my personal opinion, i say go for it. for me, it was a fun fast paced game, that made me beg for more after the demos ended.

However, im not you, so my tastes are not yours. since there arent any demos left, there is no real way for you to try it. honestly, i'd recommend it.

from what you heard? from ignorant?.. you are not getting a port, but pc gamers are getting a port.. the graphics onps3 and 360 look almost exactly the same. both use controllers. so i dont see why anyone would claim its a port for the ps3..

Except that it IS a port for the PS3. The fact that it was designed on a console doesn't make it any less of a port on the other console.

developers said that they cant find any meaningful difference between the 2 builts of the consoles.. and they say they both run smooth. and gameplay is the same because both have practically the same controllers... and if this isnt telling you enough, then go watch a cryengine 3 walkthrough and see how it works. and also if this doesnt say the ps3 version isnt a port than every other multiplatform game that is out there is a port for the ps3 version...

...
No ****, sherlock. The only platform for which ANY multiplat isn't a port is the one that has a version specifically for said platform made from the ground-up.

My advice for you is to be patient, and wait the game to start selling, see gamers' experiences and then decide whether to buy it or not. ;)

Well i just turned in some games and pre-ordered it. From what the Devs say this game should be as good as the other versions.

So im really trusting that they will iron out the issues and make this game run well on the ps3.

As long as they do some optimization it should be cool. I just hope its not another black ops..
