5 maps 2 new weapons right now on the dashboard for 800mp

I bought it simply because well I'm sitting on 5000mp

Crytek you guys need to add these maps into other playlists.....

That's insane... one wonders if 'they' knew/know about this DLC. No fanfare or anything - nothing on any Twitters I can find either.

Considering the separation of the retaliation DLC I can't see how the new rifle and smoke grenade are going to work... you'll only be able to use them in Decimation DLC lobbies, possibly. I dunno.

I'm guessing you can't play those new maps at all yet, right? Other than wandering about in a private match. Just jumped on to get the new patch and check for new playlists.. no mention of Decimation anywhere.

I'll jump on see if I can find a normal TIA game - I have a feeling getting that DLC may not have been a good idea o_O.

I'm excited that it's out and I will most likely buy it like I did the first DLC, but who the hell is running their advertising department? Did anybody even know that this was coming out today let alone, even in the works? I checked and it is definitely there but why is it not even promoted on Crytek's very own website? Despite people being upset about the grain glitch not being fixed the patch did adress some imprtant issues and will hopefull keep people playing this game, but how do they expect people to buy new DLC or even get excited for it if they don't even mention a word of it. It even includes a new assault rifle and and smoke grenade launcher which is a nice and unexpected addition to the game. I just wish I could have prepared for it's launch as right now I do not have the points to buy it yet. This company really never does cease to amaze me.

I'm scared to buy it in case they pull it from the store leaving a handful of people with it!

It's hard enough for me to get a game on the Retaliation pack!

Mine's the same as my ID too fella - not gaming ATM though, supposed to be 'working'. Just keeping an eye on the forum mess with this patch+DLC.

Played a couple with you a couple days ago. I did pretty well on your team but then I ended up on the opposite side and your lot hosed mine on Downed Bird 50-9 I think. I finished top on 8-8. Tends to stick in your mind

Unless they've downloaded the DLC and thus have the textures and the code for weapon damage, sound, effects as well as smoke I can't honestly see how people without this can play with people who do... I think that DLC is a dodo at the moment with no practical use. Be interesting to see if Sa1R3d Wa1ka can find a game if he uninstalls it. Looks like with that installed he can't find games at all atm!

I guess we have to wait for Crytek to let us know...could be 3 months or so...

If it is the case that people with this DLC cannot play people without it, that may well completely kill this game off.

Why in hell would they release ANOTHER DLC? I like expansion but when the game still 3 months later has countless problems this is just a fail. Seems they have another project to fund or something and they are taking their community for svckers.

That's why I posted a while ago and said they need to integrate the Retaliation pack into the normal playlist and get rid of the separate ones.

A bit of additional logic in matchmaking then (ulp) to shunt people into lobbies based on whether they have the various DLC(s) or not. Works perfectly in MW2...

...adding kit is a whole different can of worms though, hopefully as DiscoDa said some of that code may have come down with the patch. Until someone else downloads it though we're stuffed.

Crytek have probably turned all the lights off and are hiding under the tables noticing that DLC was out today... major communication breakdown there.

OR - someone's gonna come and post something fabulous shortly saying all is well and that there's double XP this weekend to celebrate! Which would piss me off no end as it's my daughters 2nd birthday and Father's day

Nah it wont lock you out.
One of my friends has the DLC i dont but we still play together, it seems the gun and weapon are already on disk, cuz he selects the gun dies and lets me pick it up, checking to see if i can trick the game into letting me fully unlock it without purchase the Maps probably arent.

P.S The FY71 is overpowered, no recoil, mild armor penetration the only downside is its pretty loud even with the silencer.
