No new DLC for Skyrim

Post » Sun May 18, 2014 10:27 pm

Well, Skyrim is my first ES game, but i loved it. Got a platnium trophy, and all round had a great time. But, there is always room for improvment!

Give oblivion a shot, the graphics are not as good, but if you like elder scrolls lore you should like it, Personally its my favorite, considering cyrodiil is my favorite country in tamriel, ill be getting morrowind soon, no later than the 7th, and then ill pass judgment then.

I'm playing Oblivion right now, well not literally but I am playing it. If people feel disappointed with Bethesda on ending development, then they should voice their opinion and not let it just die off like other want it too.

Yeah I finished the MQ again yesterday, and just started shivering isles with the difficulty slider at 75 percent. its Nucking Futs let me tell you. That expansion blows DB way, WAY out of the water.

Let's hope Bethesda's next game will be a flop and won't sell..

It's sad that there won't be any more, there is so much more they could have done.

Very unlikely to happen. But if it did considering the next one is fallout 4. It might seal elder scrolls games forever.

Nice! I started in December 2012 and have not played the previous games. I'm just beginning to get a feel for stuff - have yet to play either the Dragonborn or Dawnguard DLCs. Sooo much to look forward to. Enjoy, this is a superb game.

You know, me being the hopeful guy here, what if Bethesda said that they were stopping all DLC for Skyrim, but they're actually still making it, so there would be more hype out of it when it comes out and more people buy it?

Yup, Skyrim is, officially, dead... :deal:

So, move along, nothing to see here! :whistling:

Extremely unlikely indeed with todays mainstream gamer.

I doubt that 1 title like Fallout 4 can be the cause of an unlikely ES demise though.

Skyrim sold very good but despite that the DLC porting issues to the PS3 probably was too much of a hassle to continue making DLC.

If that was not the reason then I fear when Fallout 4 comes out we can expect a similar extremely short or shorter support timeframe with even less official added content.

Extremely short support timeframe compared to what? Some MMORPG? If Fallout 4 is next up and gets the same support as Skyrim, it will certainly be doing better than most other games, including Fallout 3. Even Oblivion had the last patch and most of the DLC a bit over a year after it was released, there was just one small DLC released later.

SI is fantastic, but your comparison's a bit off. SI adds a whole continent to your game, and it cost $30 at launch. DB was $20 at launch, and it added an island that is much smaller than SI. SI is a fantastic DLC, but people tend to forget how expensive it was.

I just saw the news this morning myself. I've been stopped posting in last few months, so when I got back I really suprised to know DB is the last DLC. Ah, there's no words to describe what I feel. I've been hoping to much all of this time. Still, I love Skyrim and will always play it.

You mean you were playing Arena just before Skyrim came out, because that one's the first Elder Scrolls game, not Oblivion, Morrowind or even Daggerfall.
