New DLC!?

Post » Thu Dec 02, 2010 10:10 am

Endure - DLC:

Will be a mode where you will have to face alien waves increasing in difficulty in each phase alone or with up to 5 other friends.

In this mode you will all start off with a pistol with 4 total magasines each.

You will be able to gain Attachments weapons and other bonuses for collecting catalyst from dead Aliens and using them to purchase the desired rewards.

You will be supplied with 6 ammo boxes which can be used twice each. These refill once every 10 rounds, any additional ammunition must be purchsed from the store.

Teh Store Contents

Ammunition: Ammunition for all weapons, different ammunition for different guns will vary in price.

New weapons: Basically all the weapons in the current default arsenal + Explosives and Turrets.
Different weapons become available over time.

C.E.L.L. Support!: Call in a Squad of C.E.L.L. or a C.E.L.L. Chopper To assist you and/or get kills for you. Chopper only lasts a certain length of time and will expire after one use, Cannot be called in after a set time too by all players and its expensive.

Red Barrels: Up to ten can be on one map at any given time, the rest is left to your imagination.

Power Modes: Uav, Air Strike, Maximum armor maybe different ones to multiplayer, Prices vary and are one use only. You carry only one type at once and they cannot be stacked.

Nanosuit Upgrades: At the start players will start off in the Nanosuit 1.0 by default, It will visually be the same as Nanosuit 1.0 from Crysis 1 but will only have the POWER mode from Nanosuit 2.0 and will have all POWER suit modules available for purchase. You will also be equiped with the VISOR mode by default.

After a large cash drop on Nanosuit 1.5 you will gain the ARMOR mode ability and will be able to purchase ARMOR modules.

Then Finally after a Whopping cash drop you will receive the beloved Nanosuit 2.0 and will be now be able to enter STEALTH mode and will be able to purchase STEALTH modules.

NOTE: Attachments and suit modules are only available in the Back Button Menu.

The Store will not have all of its contents available from Round 1, Certain Items become available only in later rounds.

The store will be located In a Hot zone in the middle of Enemy spawn zones. So its best to visit the store in cool down periods and then running the hell out of there once you've loaded up, this will encourage teamwork to cover each other whilst they use the store.

Using the store will leave you vulnerable to enemy fire, Multiple people can use the store at once.

Bare in mind that dying will reset all of your aquired items except for your Nano Catalyst.

Also bare in mind that the C.E.L.L. Will lay wise cracks at you in your suit, Do not sucumb to their witty comments and Power Melee them, too much.

The VISOR modes "tag" ability will not be available in this game mode instead you will be able to place markers for your teammates to see to indicate where enemies are in quantity or to tell your teamates where to advance to etc.

The Think Tank

The store could be a spire much like the ones you see in campaign which, over time comes up further out of the ground and reveils a new store front with newer items.

One map could be based on rooftops with collided buildings that can be gone in and out of.

Beach map? Aliens Emerging from the Sea and air dropped in?

*SPOILERS*

A map based on the Central park that was lifted in the air like in campaign?

A map based inside an Alien Structure?

Scripted animations depending on rounds? Alien dropship Crashes into skyscraqer on round X? Section of map crumbles off on the Risen Park map?

Vehicles? APC's? Choppers? Pilotable Alien Craft?

Selectable Difficulty? Unique Cutscene for hardest difficulty?

Interactable Environments?

This mode will be a test on teamwork, Strategy and most importantly, the full utilisation of the Nano suit.

This is a few Ideas I had for DLC, I don't normally buy map pack DLC's although if something really different like this was to arise on the DLC menu I would not hesitate in buying it and I hope that you agree too!

Post your opinions and Ideas into the section below and how much you would value this DLC for and how much you are willing to dish out.

I had a thread like this, and this would be an awesome idea.

Although instead of multiplayer models, I'd rather have the suit Alcopops had.

Also, I don't think the suit upgrading works that way.

N1 had Maximum Speed, Maximum Power.

N2 Doesn't.

Although N2 is easier to use, I'd still pick the N1 because of it's versatility.

N2 does look nicer though.

Good idea, but who would you actually play as?

The C.E.L.L.?

woops my bad I didn't provide enough description.

I only intend them to look like the suit models, so lets say for example, the Nano suit 1.0 from Crysis 1, You will have the suit visually but it will peform exactly how Nano suit 2 Handles Except you only have POWER mode and a few certain power modules in accordance to POWER. Then with Nanosuit 1.5 you gain ARMOR mode and more armor modules then with Nano 2.0 you get cloak + new armor modules.

Obviously these new suits will be very pricey like lets say 10K Catalyst for Nano 1.5 and 20K Catalyst for Nano 2.0.

Also, on a side note, The Multiplayer nano suits in hargreaves showroom looked more badassed with tinted visors, I don't like it when you can see their eyes through the visors in multiplayer.

Well you could play as some new characters, like a possible side story to the nanosuit program if you like, just like, god forgive me, what Call of duty black ops did with zombies, where you have the game mode but also a hidden secret story running in the background.

besides you could play as marines and call in marines and vide versa, I don't think it makes that much of a difference to be honest.

I just think the C.E.L.L. look more bas assed than the marines.

Basically they are aesthetic additions with the exception of choice of armor modules.

So, would unlocking the Nanosuit 2.0 erase the first set of 6 modules and give you another set of 6 or will it just add onto it?

This sounds like an amazing DLC idea.

Sounds fun and a challenge, crushing people on MP is boring now.

It will add more suit modules to the list that you can purchase.

I don't think you understand,

Nanosuit 1 has-

Longer lasting energy
Night Vision
Maximum Power
Maximum Speed
Cloaking
Maximum Armor
More attachments

Basically, better in every way except for aesthetics. The only thing the N2 was probably better at was healing and messing with DNA stuff.

This DLC idea definitely has potential to play out wonderfully but if only the potential was recognized by the developers for the future DLC.

I'm sure that they've already finished creating the #1 now and they are moving to #2.

It still doesn't say why the Nanosuit 1 is so crapinized

I think support should come from marines, That's whom Prophet and Alcatraz are allied with.

Well I don't really think it matters if its C.E.L.L. or the Marines because you can always develop a story to explain the reasons why you are with either force, besides I think you are going off track a little of the big picture here, and concentrating on too insignificant details abit.

Or go with marines and not have to make a story?

Sure when the Sandbox 3 gets released have a team together begin working on it for PC then have it moved over to 360 and PS3. Or is that too big for thinking? Cause I've seen indie developers do it and are working on doing it.

Yes that would be a good Idea although I think the topic of bugs has been out-discussed in my opinion since there is a Bug list for that sort of thing.

I thought I would suggest some Ideas and concepts I have been thinking of just to talk about something else than the current state of the multiplayer because it seems there is already enough people chasing up that subject at the moment.

Calm down, we were just brainstorming ideas for future DLC. We aren't asking Crytek to start on it now or ever for that matter but it would be great to see co-op based DLC.
