1. INSTALLATION

**********************************************************************

To install the plugin, unzip the files into the Morrowind/Data Files
Directory. Overwrite all meshes.

**********************************************************************

2. FEATURES

**********************************************************************
This will replace all default meshes of NEDE v1.2. with meshes I tweaked
so it would fit to the size of NPC. There are comments in Elderscrolls
forum that resized meshes(three fourth, half size and one fourth size)
do not follow moving NPC/creature correctly. This is due to scaling
function of Nifskope. Instead of using scaling function, I changed
-size of emitter(one fourth)
-particle life(lesser)
-particles emitted per second(from 405 to 100)
-alpha property(less transparent)
-modify frost texture
-replace fire texture with Amael's texture
-replace poison Bethesda's texture(vfx_smokegreen.tga) with better
Bethesda's poison texture(vfx_poisonglow.tga)

By these changes it would much FPS friendly without sacrificing visual
enhancement.

**********************************************************************

3. THANKS/CREDITS

**********************************************************************

Thanks to beta tester Badcompany

Amael for fire texture.

Lady Eternity for her particle effect model.

Nice: FPS friendly, and IMO it looks better too. The original was a little too much.

Very nice mod, thank you! :)

PlanetElderScrolls claims that it would be dependent on Particle Arrow Replacer (by GhostNull), why is that? I have not seen a problem without Particle Arrow Replacer yet.

Regarding compatibility patches, is this about base costs of magic effects only or is there anything else to be changed? I adjusted the base costs of your magic effects to PirateLords Trade Enhancement settings for me.

He probably did that to show a related mod, not a required mod. That section used to say related mods, which IMO is better...

No, I was not sure, because the http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=192075&id=6196 is linked on top of this thread, so ... please confuse me, what else could you mean?

I'm refering to the "Tweaked Meshes" effects. The ones you see http://rockergamerz.multiply.com/photos/album/3/Tweaked_Meshes.

They look different to the ones posted in the link at the top.

... Unless they are within the download.

They are linked at the bottom of the same PES page. It is an addon to the main mod with different meshes (replacing the meshes of the first one), called New Elemental Damage Effect(NPC Size Mesh)Add-on.

Yes, you're correct, I've said it in description that I only recommend using Ghostnull's particle arrow replacer but not required.

Yes, they are different, NPC Size Add-on is the optimized version of tweaked meshes, I never released tweaked meshes in public.

I know this is an old thread, but Puvuholo recommended this mod. I'm liking it, but I'm wondering if there is a toned down version. I'm not sure I like the entire npc being engulfed in the effect. I would try the smaller meshes in the original mod, but I believe it was mentioned in the readme that those didn't work quite right...

You need to use the "NPC-Sized Meshes". They're just right.

I'm using the NPC-Sized Meshes version as well and I'm not experiencing any problems with them.
