New FanFic Idea.

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 2:00 am

I have an idea for a fanfic i want to start writing and was wanting some commenmts on if it sounds good.

OK, the idea is that it's about a merc and the first chapter will be about him getting into the bussiness with his master and what happens to him at a young age. i know this is short but i want to make sure people will read this before i start writing it.

If you want to find out what others think, get writing and post it. You will get constructive criticism to keep you on the right track. :)

What they said. ^ Any idea can sound good, but that doesn't mean it'll look good.

There are two main areas where you can excel at in a story.

Originality/Creativity

Writing style/skill

AT LEAST one of those has to be good for the story to be entertaining. A good creative plot with weak writing is manageable, and still rewarding to read. A weak, cliche plot with good writing is still fun to read. Both makes for a great story.

By giving us the basic plot, you only fulfill a small part of that. We don't know how bad the storyline will end up being once you get into it, and we don't know how good of a writer you are. So, we can't yet make any judgments about whether or not this will be a good story. Start writing it. After the first chapter we can deem if it's good or not, and if it's not we can help make it better.

EDIT: Now freshly re-phrased! New and improved!

Pretty much says it all.

If you have an idea, write it up, post it up here, get some feedback, go back and build and refine and improve, then start you're fanfic thread.

Btw Rohugh, i like you're new Avatar, the Grizzly pimp is looking especialy festive around this time of year :)
