New footage...HIPFIRE!

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 6:10 pm

I can tell he came from HALO, but honestly it gets kind of annoying after awhile to keep dealing with that crouch popping after you know his tactics you can just figure out if thats him and just shoot at his body, that simple if anything he's not "really" doing anything constructive with his team, other then replenishing their ammo.

I came from RTCW. I can't stand halo. Or cod. As far as not helping the team...I was playing bots lol. We won and I defended the objective the last 2 mins while they were trying to get it. What r u talking about? The point of the vid was to show Hipfire and evading not other aspects. I don't go all out against bots Lmao.

What exactly was the objective at the end? Were the Attackers trying to plant a charge on that thing?

holy crap this guy doesnt like to aim, personally i think this is a problem if its that accurate without aiming in sights

Oh please ! the world doesn't revolve around iron sights ! It makes the game more fast-paced instead of just running around while aiming down the ironsights

My favorite part is where it says zenimax has made a claim about the video. :hubbahubba:

I wouldnt worry about people firing from the hip and still killing you at medium range, you have to remember, it wont be you watching it happen to someone on youtube, youll be in control. Throw a strafe in or fire more accurately, ADS will probably help you with the latter at medium range. Brink, from everything ive seen looks like a fast paced game making it so that you had to ADS to win a gun fight would hamper that, I like the idea of hip fire at times and ADS at others.

Just saying though you shouldnt worry too much about what you see happen to other people. If I saw a video of a person getting killed by a light body type who was running round him slashing with a knife, I wouldnt think 'Crap!!!! Lights cant be hit and theyll just circle me!!!!!'. I'd think well aim better when it happens to you. If you understand my mini rant.

Yeah. At least he did actually hip-fire though. Pretty much all the videos we've seen up until this one have been pretty heavy on the ADS. ADS has it's place--medium to long range--but hip-firing seems to be extremely effective out to a good distance, especially if you shoot in bursts. I like it.

I wonder if the muzzle brakes increase hip-fire accuracy...

I would assume so.

Muzzle breaks could increase hip-fire accuracy, but I did hear it lowers damage output due to the muzzle.

"Vented muzzle breaks allow for improved recoil control in exchange for reduced weapon damage. These front attachments are useful in open warfare because accuracy while firing is easier to maintain."

There is a 4 Vent and there is a 6 Vent muzzle break.

My Sauce: http://brink.wikia.com/wiki/Attachments
Take it with a grain of salt. Maybe add some cheese and parsley. Then serve it with a side of baby carrots and crackers.

According to the leaked video on weapons and attachments, the muzzle brakes (there were at least 4...) increase accuracy, decrease range, and change the direction and intensity of the muzzle flash.
