I know it's way way too late but what about a new form of getting around the map. In Oblivion I got quite bored with the Horses very quickly, and thought the variety of Horses and their features were quite bland. I would love to have a selection of animals to ride, not just one but a few. What they could be im not quite sure. But if Skyrim were just to keep Horses I highly suggest they make their features a bit more exiting, instead of "The white one runs faster than the brown one. But the Brown one is stronger than the white one." Perhaps they could have atributes, maybe armour, maybe even feed them, or maybe you could even name them. Or what do you think could or should be done with transportation around the Skyrim map?

Well Todd says that they like Horses now, but if they turn out like crap, they'll scrap 'em.

And carriages have been confirmed for a month, so that's another form of transportation.

Unless you're just talking about horses.

Well, they will have carriages and possibly ships. Is that what you meant?

Well I figured there would be static ships like in Obliv, but have they said that they will be a form of fast travel?

Are they used as a more immersible "auto-travel" then like in Morrowind?

Wait, so you ride them as a passenger? If so, to where? I thought Skyrim was on the coast...
