So I just reinstalled oblivion, and I go to start a new game, and it goes to the load screen just fine, but right before the intro video would play, it insta-CTD's. no error message, nothing. I do believe I have done everything I need to do, granted it has been a while since I installed it. it the goty version, i installed the patch, however it might have been the wrong one, it was the one at the top of the download page at the elder scrolls website, i assumed it was the one that i need. i've got obmm, obse, the second disc expansions. I don't have many mods on yet, planned to put them on later, so here are the ones I have on now:

--MMM v3.0
--Drake's Dragon race mod
--Puff's crysis nanosuit

I tried disabling the mod, same thing. I am stumpted, without an error message or anything to go on, I'm lost. I don't think it is a hardware problem, as fallout 3 runs fine.

Any Ideas?

I think you probably have to completely uninstall & reinstall. Use both discs from the GOTY version. The second disc installs SI & KOTN and updates Oblivion to the latest version (1.2.0416)

EDIT: By the way don't forget to install the unofficial patches as well!

problem solved, some mod content was causing the crashes, and I fixed it so I guess this thread can be closed.
