i'd like to see a spell that puts an earthquake into the atmosphere and shakes the sky but not the earth. the spell would cause flying dragons to drop down to earth.

Remember how your hands are on fire in dark messiah? Let's have that in Skyrim. No more stupid projectile fireballs. If you chose to throw a fireball at someone. Your hand should look like the dude from fantastic four. Same thing goes for ice, etc.

i would also like to see this but the "easy button" people that think you should be able to cast the most powerful of spells while wearing full plate armor and holding a shield and sword even in the middle of battle while swimming would not like that.

Doubt it, they'll probably just remove a bunch of spells, thats what they usually do.

Yes, that's what Bethesda means when they say they're revamping something. They remove a bunch of stuff, and then make what's left [censored]tier (but better looking). Hopefully they take a page out of the book of a lot of the mods for Oblivion (and not just for magic). Midas Magic is one of the big ones. Especially with how Mark and Recall is done there, and bringing the enemy to the astral plane; that's just badass as [censored]. I'd definitely like to see the return of some of the Daggerfall and Morrowind spells (Levitate, Jump and Slowfall particularly (exterior cells be damned, just make a rendered skybox of the surrounding area and auto-transition the player between city-cell and world-cell if they cross the plane (also switching the rendered skybox. It's not a very difficult thing to come up with, they just got lazy on Oblivion)).

YES!!!!!!!! I want better magic and new spells SO BAD!!!!!!!!!!

Midas Magic from what I've seen looks amazing, and I think a lot of Midas Magic's ideas would be a great addition.

But, I also want Magic to go beyond just combat, Magic in Oblivion is basically just another attack skill, and that gets annoying.

I also conjuration to be revamped.

I want quick summons which have a time limit, and I want ritual summonings, where the summoned creature stays and is bound to you until it is killed.

Those are spells that I want!

Temporal incursion.

Lets you skip a number of game hours, based on strength of spell.

Handy for vampire types.

or if youve for instance contracted a deadly poison, and the antipoison seller doesnt open for 4 hours ;)

in that case, breaking in would be more fun :whistling:

Id like more variety in alteration spells, as well as destruction spells. cant come up with any good ideas right now though..

Some people mentioned this earlier so I thought I'd just add my opinion.

I'd love a couple new spells, maybe some interesting effects, but it'd really annoy me if my hands were engulfed by flames and ice whenever I want to cast something. That just seems tacky and pretty lame to me, I'm sure it'd wind me up. Am I really the only one who wouldn't be annoyed by having constantly fiery hands?

As long as they stop stripping out existing spells I'll be happy

Sky Shaker.

Also a regular earthquake, or just a spell that trembles the ground and knock enemies to their feet and scares them

Shape shifting is the obvious one that comes to mind for Alteration. Become a mouse and crawl thorough small gaps, become a hawk and fly away, become a great big bloody ogre and dig out rocks... that kinda stuff. Probably never happen though.
