New game's province where do you want it?

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 10:54 pm

I would hate summerset because the altmer are so stuck up and racist and they tame goblins don't want to see "house goblins".

House goblins are influenced from Harry Potter

TES was out before Harry Potter.

Anyway, Khajiit are spelled.... Khajiit. Just so you know. :)

And it's Vvardenfell. :P

I voted for Valenwood and Skyrim. I would like to see more woods but fighting feral beasts in the snow appeals to me as well.

I voted Skyrim or Hammerfell.

Skyrim would be good because there's a lot of room for horror aspects as well as heroics.

I imagine that Hammerfell would be like 1001 nights, in Tamriel.

I for one hope that when Umbriel uses White Gold Tower to break free from Oblivion, in lands right on top of the Imperial City and completely destroys it. I hope that happens for a few reasons, namely so that the Empire crumbles completely, and so that if they ever set a game in Cyrodiil again, we'll have something new to see.

It would also be a nice setting for an Imperial City. None of this "Aylied" rip off crap... <_<

But, I have the strangest feeling that it will turn out non canon somehow... "it was just a dream", or "they turn back time" or something along those lines, because of those complaining...

Personally I hope they set the almost-definitely-coming MMO on Yokuda. We know next to nothing about what it is like nowadays so it's essentially a blank slate.

I can actually see an MMO encompassing all of Tamriel, perhaps Nirn. It is PC, afterall. And it will be constantly updated...

I voted Skyrim and Summerset, because...

Skyrim is not all ice and snow. Even if it was it would be still awesome place.

Summerset makes a good place for a game. It sounds pretty nice place and it's pretty much isolated island, so there would be not much problem making borders.

TES was out before Harry Potter.
Though the idea of house goblins in the TES series was added in 2006, after many Harry Potter books were published.

Valenwood, although if they don't do it well it will be a total disaster.

As do I. I'm hoping that, in addition to wrecking that pathetic excuse for a city, the Niben overflows somehow and ends up flooding Cyrodiil. In a few centuries or so the place will be completely overgrown and marshy. It'll be just like the original PGE.

But, I have the strangest feeling that it will turn out non canon somehow... "it was just a dream", or "they turn back time" or something along those lines, because of those complaining...

Cyrodiil is still a jungle! Those verdant grasslands and forests were a side-effect of Oblivion's reality attempting to compromise the Mundus...

As long as it has tundra or deserts or jungle and a large chunk of any one of them I'm happy. I want skyrim though.

I gotta admit, the idea of Skyrim really has grown on me. I'm actually really excited to explore the homeland of the Nords. But I'd also like to see Black Marsh, once Bethesda can do it justice.

I would like it to be in Elsweyr or Black Marsh but Valenwood could be really cool too.

Skyrim could be done well with a dynamic winter environment. I felt like Oblivion didn't know what to look like. The only thing that really changed was color. If they focus on just doing one environment right, they might as well make it dramatic. Constant howling wind, snow falling, with a constant white color would make for a unique experience. But, since Bloodmoon has already been done, I find it hard to believe they'll do it again. I'll go for the Black Marsh then.

For me I voted Black Marsh. I loved Argonians. I always imagined they had underwater cities. For the life of me, I don't remember where I got this, but now I think of underwater cites. I want underwater cities. I think it would be awsome. It would be different because I haven't seen one game do this.

Also I wanted underwater cities when Daggerfall came out, so this was way before Phantom Menace came out. :)

I don't get why so many people want to visit the Summerset Isles, it's tiny!! I'd like to see either Black Marsh or Skyrim. Skyrim because it's grown on me after reading the forums, and Black Marsh because I really want a swampy enviorement.

Isn't that game all underwater? Or is it above ground and underwater? Maybe I should try it out.
