New Guilds

Post » Sat Feb 12, 2011 2:42 pm

Personally, there should be a large handful of join-able in Skyrim, even if they don't have long quest lines, like Dark Brotherhood, Fighter's Guild, and they some should be about skills, other about interests and so. There should also be different guilds that focus on the same things, e.g. an new assassin's guild and the Dark Brotherhood should be be guilds of the assassin guild (if that makes sense), and if you join one, you van't join the other useless you leave., etc.

Something like the tribunal temple for daedra worship would be good.

Streetracing club. They race through towns to win money by getting to certain markers first. It's illegal because it causes hassle, so guards chase you and you must escape and hide your face so you aren't identified/

Probably an awful idea, but I just thought of it randomly.

Whoa! That's a lot of guilds! I'm personally really hoping for daedra worshipping guilds, or religious based guilds.

I dont like the idea of a BAKERS guild or any other of that kind. The Questlines best part would be when you get to fetch a floursack from the local market...

I'd like to see some craftsman's guilds to go with crafting. I mean, we know they have them.

When I vote Mage's Guild, I mean "Synod and/or College of Whisperers." I'd prefer both (as bitter rivals, of course), but either/or would be acceptable.

I'd like a non-evil assassins guild. Outside the law but not basking in an evil light.

Maybe dark brotherhood as well, provided there's a ton of other stuff for evil characters to do - it was a bit dead-ended in Oblivion.

I'd also like more espionage and counter-espionage... a civil war background is ripe for this. One king or lord or duke or whatever (however the political climate exists in the Skyrim from region to region at the time of the game) may require you to spy on the enemy, infiltrate, become a double agent, or a triple agent, find information, influence behaviour, steal documents, perform hits etc.

I picked all the ones in Oblivion, Town Guard and Alchemy Guild. I really don't think that Alchemy deserved a place in the Mages Guild, because tbh it isn't really magical, and I think that a whole, smaller obviously, Alchemy Guild would be a much better addition.

I would like a more indepth vampire hunter guild or a vampire guild (if vampires are in this game, if not werewolf if they are in it)

Vampire guild, and it would be cool if we got a joinable Necromancers guild at last.
Oh, and it would have been fun if we could do some investigating - some law enforcement or PI gild would be nice :)

I'd like to see all the previous guilds return and also have Vampire hunters guild and vampire clans and Werewolf clans. Also would like to have guilds where you can choose a side in the civil war. Also a necromancer guild would be nice too.

The main thing that I want is competing guilds and the player at low levels can join both sides but at higher ranks you have to choose your side.
this adds a lot of replayability to the game and makes the game interesting. I loved the competing great houses in Morrowind and thought that they were some of the best guilds that I have seen in these games

I would like to have the options to chose to join diferent clans warring each other. Not necesarilly as an spy as MikeT suggested, but this would be a good option too.

I just read that used to be a medieval guild. so I though it would be a good idea (plus it you will, apparently, be able to cook in Skyrim).

As for quests, it would be gathering ingredients, getting a unique or rare recipe of someone (and having to do something else for them).

Of course the Thieves Guild should return, and I like the idea of the Collectors guild, which I assume treasure hunting will be the basis of it, and the Hunter's Guild.

I'd like to see a return of the Morag Tong.

Why does everything have to be a guild. I'am sick of guilds give me more freelancer type of quests and quesst where you work for a specific person, like a king or a merchant or something.

Hunter's Guild! Please see my thread :)

There should also be more political and religious intrigues and factions like in Daggerfall/Morrowind!

Skooma/Sugar Dealers vs Imperial Legion

College of Whispers vs Synod

Hunting society

Vampire hunter's guild vs Vampire Clans

Pirate Guild vs Naval Merchant guild

Postal carrier or supply route guild

Rival archeology guilds (for metric tonnage of inevitable Indiana Jones references!)

Some kind of Inquisition?

I know that's far too much but I can dream...

I think there should be an assassings guild that goes inside the law like the morag tong guild in morrowind. I remember they would give you honerable writs of execution to kill someone if you got caught by a guard. I always liked killing the person without using up my writ of execution so whenever I killed someone that I wasnt supposed to I could give the writ to the guards and they would allow it (if that made any sense).

I want the big three guilds (fight thief mage) and a merchant/craftsman guild. They should be made less basic though. Like rather then having us join the fighters guild, you can join the red flag mercenary company.
