New H2H Info!

Post » Sun Sep 25, 2011 1:38 pm

Thanks to forum member Tar Amon for posting the info from the new OXM UK.

BEWARE: SPOILERS

Spoiler
" I decided to find the Thieves Guild, which the locals said was in the Ratways beneath Riften. I found my way down to the river that runs though it`s streets and into the labyrinth of tunnels, and was immediately mugged. Luckily, my fire and lightning spells frazzled the thieves, and on one of their bodies I found the Gloves of Pugilism, which dishes +15 to unarmed attack damage. They were incredible. Every other thug in the Ratways went down to two or three blows, mostly finished off by horrific neck-breaking special moves. When i found the Thieves Guild, they didn`t want me. My time was up anyway, so i put my gloves back on and punched their leader in the face."

Yep, very nice, I read this on these forums somewhere earlier today, I can't remember where though.

Good info though, H2H is definitely not dead.

This just proves that Bethesda truly has removed the redundant and pointless and added greatness and immersion.

Why make a thread about information from another thread. Just discuss it in the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1233284-oxm-uk/.

I like it how everyone seems to be able to take everyone out when they get attacked with a vast array of starting spells and equipment. "I was attacked by 5 bandits and my level 1 fire spell incinerated all of them!" A starting character should be careful not be outnumbered imo.

That's cool about the H2H equipment though, I can't wait to forge Fistcuffs Of Dragonbone Awesomeness. ;)

Oh good grief!

Was that a good "good grief", or bad "good grief"?

I wish Bethesda would just release another 2 minute gameplay trailer. All these hands-on impressions are way more spoilerific.

So many people have been asking about H2H and they may overlook the other thread, which is based on the OXM UK article. ResistanceKnight and Megakyle will love this

This is important that hand to hand has stats because it increases the chances of werewolves because now we can gauge how hard a werewolf hits.

So... I read the first 3 words and decided to stop. What is the actual info with no spoilers?

Question is, +15 what? Can't be skill because the skill is gone. Flat damage bonus? That would be boring.

Unarmed attack has an alterable variable that is changed with equipment at the very least.

so they kind of made some gloves double as unarmed weapons. awesome.

I had a mod in oblivion that did this when I played a monk character.
