New hands-on preview indicates pop-up issues..

Some people just don't want to listen/except that for some reason. Let then worry themselves lol.

Lol not to be rude but in good faith

I still cant tell if ur a true believer
Or hopelessly optimistic sometimes lol

Ive seen some threads where u have made some good points
And ive seen ones where u have flown yourself over the facts and still sided with bethesda's word instead

Lol just an observation not a critizism

They were playing the same version that was in the gameplay demo we've all been watching, so why don't you all go watch it again and decide how pervasive it is.

I'll be playing on a pretty beastly PC so I'm not worried. ;)

I agree, it seems like he was either bought by Bethesda or is an employee, He praises simply everything in the game.
As for the pop up issues. The game will probably be further optimized till release. Though I' m sure it will still suffer from at least some pop ups. It's just the dated hardware...

I play these games for fun and they provide me with a whole lot of it. No features/mechanics bother me at all, or hamper my experience. I'll be completely satisfied on 11.11.11. :tes:

the links broke, but i think i read that earlier & its a bit worrying. I'm gonna go with the 90% who don't mention it.

Both console versions will have pop up. Infact i'd say pc would tto, just not as evident as console versions.

Didnt bother me in OB, Wont bother me here, personally.

Newer graphics cards (read: PC) precache textures more efficiently, as well as loading them faster. It won't be an issue for PC.

I don't want to sound like an elitist and I hope people don't take this that way:

If you are this concerned about the issue you must really care about the quality of your gaming. If you care about the quality of your gaming, build a gaming PC. It's NOT as expensive as people make it out to be-you can build a middle of the road decent machine for about 500 bucks. Instead of spending that much on a console (when you add in extra controllers and accessories), invest in a computer guys. You can update it every 2 years or so for about 150 bucks and play almost every game at very high settings.

If you don't want to spend the time or effort on a pc, then I don't really see how you can keep up these threads about this issue, because you're not doing anything to resolve the issue for yourself- you want Bethesda to magically update your console for you, which isn't going to happen. This is not their problem, it's yours.

This never really bothered me in Oblivion. If that is the main negative to come out of the reviews so far then...yipee :D

...... Oh you forget, some really just dont want to game on a PC. Some are afraid that they might turn into an elitist, like yourself, and anything they play again MUST be on a PC.

Personally, i choose consoles for comfortability. I play online alot, friends cba with PC's either, so yeah, console wins my vote in that sense.

The overall preview, once read, is heaped with praise for the graphics and details. They highlight the great looking night sky, something I've enjoyed since Morrowind. The pop up has not broken my immersion in any of the games. I played the first three on the PC, switched to Xbox for Oblivion and Skyrim after I got married and had kids. It's just easier gaming on the console with the family.

I agree. The thing that annoys me the most, however, is the criticisms thrown at people who are ok with the issue, understand the limitations, and still hold out hope that perhaps it wont be as bad as some think. They are called delusional or a "believer". This isn't a religion. It's a videogame. There are not"believers", there are only optimists. If you care this much about an issue, if it bugs you enough that you call someone else delusional, build a gaming rig, pure and simple.

There are also people who have no problem with the issue.

Infact i see more PC Gamers complaining about pup up and draw....than console players. And apparently PC Players dont have that issue, so go figure.

Well, Morrowind didn't have grass and you only could see 50 meters in front of you and is still a good game.

I remember first seeing doom. Ohmigod, it's in three dimensions! A bit of pop up certainly isn't going to worry me, but it is going to be there, and if it is going to upset you, which is fair enough, yes, you either need a reasonable PC, or you have to remember that TES has so many more ways to 'imurs' you than mere graphics, this isn't a beautifully rendered state of the art 10 hour linear shooter, it's a whole world packed with interactivity, which is pretty well rendered considering.

didn't seemed to be the case in the demo that we watched and that was on the 360. I think that if it was a problem then there would be commenting on it so I won't worry one bit.

I realize that I need a powerful PC to fully enjoy the graphical capabilities of Skyrim but money being tight prevents me from purchasing one. Not sure what 'imurs' is supposed to mean, seen it quite a bit on here, strikes me as a tad childish in all honesty.
