Cool to see Mark featured. In addition to making our games sound good, he is also the man that makes our podcasts sound good. Great guy!

Gstaff, with every other game, you've released the theme before the game. Can we have this one... about 10 months early?

The theme sounds epic. It was a very good design decision to have the original Morrowind theme in the beginning of the video. Nostalgia went wild. Anticipation went wild.

EPICNESS ON A WHOLE NEW LEVEL! :D

Btw,

Me thinks that dragons should have deep, scratchy voices with a deeper, really short echo. Just sayin' :P

Amazing update -- There's so much cool stuff to show us! I don't mind waiting a bit more for actual gameplay if they're gonna keep up with this kind of quality :D
Reiner promises us a lot of more updates this month (on twitter) -- and there's still some things mentioned in the Gameinformer magazine that hasn't appeared online yet.

But seriously, guys. You all need to exit the gameinformer website so my videos will load quicker :P

Glad you're enjoying the theme

I think there's an agreement of epic proportion of that subject. :D
I understood it this way too. Choices and consequences finally? I hope so.

Yeah ! I was so "betrayed... whut ?". I mean, it'd be pretty much like going "screw it" and boping Baurus on the head. Does that mean no more essential NPCs, too ? Too early to tell, but anyway, more multiple-paths quests... That would be indeed awesome.

The centurion was the thing that popped in my head when I heard Todd speak about humans inhabiting old dwemer cities. :D Always loved that elegant unfolding-from-the-sphere thing they had.

And again, terrific update - best so far for me. Love to hear so much interesting details about the actual making of the game. Big shout-out to the sound guy.

Well I doubt Esbern will be the exact same character as Baurus. BGS know what they're doing. I'm sure there'll be incentive enough to betray Esbern.

As for essential NPCs... he'll most likely just be made unessential when you fight him after betraying him...

I was excited about the score, but then I went to see the first videos and drooled over the dwemer sphere. To have them back will be awesome, I've always loved their vibe and I remember the creaking Dwemer ruin where Dagoth Ur was really made me nervous. Actually, my first thought on seeing that video was how to make a mod to make dwemer spheres etc... I've done it for necromancy and summoning, and dreamed about it for Dwemer but now I know how to do it and would love to make something for people to assemble a dwemer army.

Yours too? I've seen about the first minute of the first video and given up after 4 crashes.

I saw like the first video and half of the second video then gave in.

I'll listen to my new Santana albumn while I wait for people to loss interest. :mohawk:

Mark Lampert specifically mentioned dying sounds.

Spoiler

Sounds to me that at least Esbern will not be essential, and if not him that most likely just about everybody else as well.

Is anyone familiar with the show Merlin on BBC1? theres a dragon on the show that talks voiced by John Hurt, just wondering what everybody thinks of the voice.

Well I doubt Esbern will be the exact same character as Baurus.

Yeah I know, it was just a simile - role of the guy who tells you what's what, kinda. Not the one you expect to be able to betray, so that's very intriguing to say the least.

I imagine we'll do something like that eventually. We already teased a big chunk in our last podcast, and obviously this GI video gives a nice preview too.

Wow! The theme song sound awesome!

As Mark mentioned, we've had it for about two years now. When I first started hearing it (without the choir), I was always getting goose bumps.

That being said, it feels like it's at a different level with the choir. Right after Fallout 3 shipped, I remember talking to Emil and he was talking about the lyrics they were planning... really cool to finally hear them in the past few months.

Of the theme or the HUB?

At 2:45 of the music video is awesome. Best version of the TES theme to date.

And it is the best HUB update because we see gameplay and hear audio.
