I want a dragon that sounds like an animal, fierce and [censored] dangerous, snarling like it's gonna' rip my face off and burn my corpse.

So you want a death metal singer? I vote for Tom Araya then.

Yelling over thrash metal does not constitute as death metal vocals.

He is getting a little old.

Editorial:
Spoiler
Don't come at me with your metal genre classifications. Metal is metal is metal. Black Sabbath gave birth to it(that's right the only thing metal about Iron Maiden is their cover art), Slayer defined it and System of a Down shattered all pre-conceived notions.

If you disagree well I respect that and should you wish to continue the discussion I would direct you to the Iron Maiden is god, SOAD isn't metal thread in General Discussion.

Hell of a lot better than what most people seem to want.

You guys want a huge freakin' fire belching dragon with massive claws and fangs, descending from the sky roaring and screaming, and then it lands and starts talking to you with the voice of a british professor... W T F.

I just want it to sound scary, massive, brutal and vicious. Like a ferocious animal.

Except they're not ferocious animals. They're intelligent beings, and very powerful.

Ferocious, savagely fierce, violently cruel.

Yes dragons are ferocious animals, more so than any other creature in the entirety of the elder scrolls lore I'd say.

They may also be immensely intelligent, but that doesn't mean they should sound like an old human man.

*shrugs* Like any race, I'd imagine different dragons sound different. But going on their race characteristics, "ferocious animal" isn't really a defining trait.

I heavily disagree, the single most defining characteristic of dragons is that they're ferocious animals. Huge monstrous fire breathing and savage animals, that bring fear into the hearts of every man, they burn villages from above, live in crags and rocky mountains and their favourite pasttime is to snack on people.

The whole intellectual dragon that can also turn into a human, cast spells, sounds like a british professor and play nice deal didn't come into play until D&D with metallic dragons.

We're not talking about D&D, we're talking about ES. In the Elder Scrolls, dragons are intelligent beings, not animals.
