New hub update - The Sounds of Skyrim #2

Post » Sat Mar 12, 2011 8:24 pm

Well, trillions of lifeforms across the universe are trying to access the page simultaneously, so give it some time.

No, Arklon, I don't realize that because it isn't true. Does this have legs? http://pnmedia.gamespy.com/planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/fms/images/potd/14234/1281495240_medium.jpg

So... they have little vestigial mechanical legs that are still attached to a sphere... and they are now to humanoid? Even so, it would make sense that a humanoid species would design their robot guardians with humanoid parts.

It just looks like a robot standing up with it's legs attached to a ball. Whatever, I'll still buy the game. I guess.

Are you also going to complain that the Steam Centurion is too humanoid?

Maybe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tc1QvI_llE0 should take a stab at voicing a dragon...

No, because it's actually supposed to be bipedal.

Well.. if you aren't sure, you should really decide now that you know what the Centurion looks like. :P

For those who can't see the centurion via GI (for whatever the reason):

Thanks! Are the other three videos up on youtube? He also mentions a spell "iron flash" I think? And the ui sound for when a quest gets updated.

Show me where the feet are on that Sphere Centurion. Also, are you going to complain that it's too humanoid for having a pair of arms, a head, and a torso as well?

I agree, Kevin Grevioux has a good voice suitable for dragons.

No, I meant the steam centurion was meant to be bipedal.

About Max Von Sydow: "He enjoyed reading all the fighting and dying stuff at the end, too, which every character does in our game..."

Does this mean killable essentials, or does he just die as part of the plot?

Whoa did they slip up on a major spoiler?

Another vote for Grevioux. The guy have a crazy voice and don't sound like an old man like a few others.

There is also Steven Blum, but he will already appear in a lot of games in 2011...kind of overused.

Could just mean that you have the option to kill him, betray him, etc.

They aren't bipedal though, they just have support some parts that resemble legs. It still rolls around just like the good old Centurions.

All I'm saying, is it seems a little bit of a stretch to say that its too humanoid just because they added to little metal struts that resemble legs, but still rolling around as much as ever.

He would totally work.

And he's a major geek, so he'd probably be all for it.

Could it suggest that all NPCs are non-essential now?

There was only one video and that was composing Skyrim's theme. I saw nothing in it about a Dwemer Centurion. I think this computer is having trouble with that website as the videos are never all there and are never in the same order. Can you give me the specific name of the video?

Im having the same exact problem, no dwemer in first video.

edit: Didn't see how quick this thread was going. So nvm

Which is big news, because he's clearly a major character in the game. I'm glad essentials are killable now (if it's true...).

No, I meant the steam centurion was meant to be bipedal.

And I didn't ask if you wouldn't like the Steam Centurion for being bipedal, only that because it was too humanoid, and the first thing that popped up in your mind - or, more likely, had already been in your mind from your prior complaint about the Sphere Centurion - is "bipedal". And, again, the Sphere Centurion has two arms, two "eyes", a head (with a face), and a torso; it was already very much humanoid to begin with.
