New Hubdate?

Post » Mon Nov 01, 2010 9:21 pm

Just wondering if anyone has any info about a hubdate today? It is the last day of January so maybe we will get something special? :hubbahubba:

Well, we can always hope

But I confess that I'd assumed it was over....

My guess - no. Looking at the organization of the hub updates, there's room for two more at the end. The UI article hasn't been added yet, which leaves us only with one spot left... and I think that spot is for the podcast.

You are correct, good sir. And it should be happening this Thursday at whatever time they post up their podcasts.

I'm not really expecting much from this update though. I can guarantee that most of the questions that will be asked will be about features already explained, about adding Fallout stuff into Skyrim, and about nothing to do with games in general (like questions about how Todd is or something).

I will be pleasantly surprised if we get answers to more pressing questions though. Like the fate of attributes, spears (of course), and I'm sure now spell making.

Thurrsday. "Ask Todd Howard". Search for the poll, you'll find it. Add a question if you'd like.

We might have one more before the Todd podcast but I think the Podcast is the last update.

Well, there's two free spaces on the hub page to the left and right of "The Art of Skyrim". I'd assume there will be two more items on the hubdate page, although it's quite possible that one of them may simply be a link to the Skyrim trailer once it's out. Ideally, after the TOOOODD podcast we'd have some surprise "Spears/Attributes/Levitation/Lanterns Confirmed" story, but perhaps that's being too wishful.

People seem to have forgotten to read this part.
We've had a blast rolling out Skyrim information throughout the month of January, and our conversation with Todd Howard will be a fun way to finish. Needless to say, even after our intensive month of coverage wraps up, we'll be following Bethesda's big project throughout its development, right up until release on November 11th.

We hope you've enjoyed the articles, videos, and other features.

They follow most games up to release. Updates will be far less going forward compared to the hub coverage.

I think that the podcast will be the last update. That being said, the Elder Scrolls main website may change to release more details after GI's exclusive cover is done. And after that, well, GDC is soon-ish, and E3 after that. We'll hopefully see gameplay at that point

Fallout stuff in Skyrim... how would that work fallout is a completely different series, i mean i can understand minor references but otherwise it would make no sense,

P.s im not hating im asking a generalized question. just seems like it would make no sense because fallout was set in the ruins of America.

I sincerely hope that the questions selected are ones that we have NOT read or heard anything about. The last thing I want is for any of the questions to be wasted on something already discussed in the past updates or any info provided in the magazines.

As Mr Boethiah said, I think they mean perks and general game mechanics, not theme or setting. They wouldn't combine the two in any way save mechanics, I'm sure.

The Podcast should be interesting too. The question on werewolves seems to be cropping up the most frequently. I'll be happy if he answers that one. :)

That, and I'm also talking about people asking for other features from Fallout 3 to be put in Skyrim, like VATS, how the game flows, and other various things.

But yeah, it's mostly just going to be questions that have already been answered, or stupid questions like asking for multiplayer and the like.

I really hope some serious questions will be answered, but I doubt it.

I guarantee one of the questions asked will be about multiplayer. Game informer should no better but I still think they will ask.
