New Infinite XP Exploit

Post » Mon Mar 22, 2010 10:54 am

I just found a new bug. Found in his office on the HQ of Cottonwood Cove, Aurelius of Phoenix is the in charge of the fort. Ask him about killing NCR troops. He'll say that he'll give you something in exchange for it. With 35 Barter, you can ask to get ammo and supplies for it which will net you 39 XP. Exhaust all of his convo chains (optional) and then you will have two options, the speech check and "Goodbye". Keep pressing X (A for 360 and E for PC) and you'll be leveled up in no time. NOTE: I did not post this tutorial for the sake of glitching, I posted it so the Obsidian Devs can accurately replicate it for a speedy patch.

This had been fixed already with the latest patch.

Thank You for letting them know, I am glad there are a few real gamers that don't want this kind of cheat bug in the games. Yeah some glitches are funny. But I think you actually get to much XP in this game as it is. I leveled up 4 times in 3 to 4 hours of play earlier. I noticed the XP is alot higher in FONV then in FO3 for kills.

Alright gents I am sorry but i forgot this guys name...he is the giftshop owner in novac. You can do basically the same thing with him. Every time you leave the store and go back, you have that same dialouge option to convince him his asking price is too steep for the storeroom key, even after you purchase it. I admit i did it 1 just 1 more time to see if it would go away and it didn't.

Oops. But in all honesty I wouldn't know because I am an American PS3 player. :P

Ah. So the infamous "Speech Exploit" is back from Fallout 3 I see.

I'm pretty sure they're already on it as we speak. It seems like they've already finished making patches to fix some of the small game hiccups, so I imagine the next patch we'll be getting will be a big one.

Or at least, that's my thoughts on the subject.

I don't care about the experience glitch, but I would like to know where on the map this camp is located. (I can't find any Legion camps...)

South-east, following the road from Nipton it's straight to the east, with that slight bend you have to take to avoid Searchlight.

I seem to remember similar bugs existing in Fallout and Fallout 2. Those got patched though, AFAIK.
