New installation after approx 6-7 years

Howdy,

Edit: I own both Tribunal and Bloodmoon btw.

I've been away from MW for some time and I've just decided to reinstall it. I'm aware of the array of FAQ's and mod lists but I'm trying to keep it simple. Lord knows how many hours I've wasted in the past modding Oblivion and Fallout 3/NV, and I don't want to get too in depth this time round.

I'm quite versed in the use of Mash/Bash and the various editing programs.

To the point then!

I'm after the following (keeping in mind I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible):

1) 1x graphics overhaul - This is easy, I'm using the auto installer MGSO that's been released recently. By the sounds of it, this is all I need?

2) 1x gameplay overhaul - This is more difficult for me as I'm not particularly well up on what the staples are? I've heard of MW Rebirth and BTB's Game Improvements. Are these two of the main ones? I've always used FCOM with Oblivion if that helps. I understand this is subjective but please provide your opinions.

3) 1x interface mod - I can bare the vanilla MW interface though so this isn't utterly vital.

4) Lastly, I'm guessing there is a bug fix mod(s) that are considered essential? - I've seen mention of both the Morrowind Code Patch and the Morrowind Patch Project. Are they both essential?

Thanks for your time.

The Morrowind Code Patch and the Morrowind Patch Project are two very different thing. The former fixes issues with the executable and is very essential, while the other fixes things things like floating statics, some dialog issues, among other things. As for graphics, the MGSO is a great one-stop plugin. I recommend also installing http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1331115-shelter-from-magnus-blaze-8/ (comes with MGSO, but Hrnchamd updates it quite a bit) if you can. It should only require DirectX 9.0c and admin access if you're using Windows Vista/7. As for your other questions, I can't much help there but Knots guide is a good one. There's also http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1305729-mod-recommendations-for-new-players/ that might help.

Well, I'd recommend BTB's Game Improvements, but somehow I doubt that opinion would mean much >.>
