Thanks.

Nothing new. In fact I now firmly believe Craig Lafferty can't be tortured into saying anything else besides
Be whomever, Go wherever, Do whatever.

While the gum bit was amateurish, his resolve to stick to the Be whomever, Go wherever, Do whatever mantra was special ops level.

Send him undercover to North Korea. The guy won't talk.

Why is being 37 make it where you can't play or be excited for the game?

I remember a massive drought for Oblivion after E3 2005. I don't think we saw a single new screen from July all the way until mid-October. I hope Bethesda doesn't go that route again, but we'll see.

And on a side note, why do members of the press rarely ever ask specific, detailed questions? All they'd need to do is take a quick look at these forums to learn what people really want to know, and they could end up breaking some great new info.

True, there was a drought after E3 for oblivion, but the difference was Oblivion had 4 (or 5 cant quite remember) 10 minute long videos of todd howard showing [censored] in the game during E3. The thing there is that there was a lot more information on oblivion officially released at e3 then there was for skyrim. If they're gonna have another drought like you say, they should just release the full 30 minute demonstration first.

"The depth is still there. There's still all of the stats and everything under the surface."

Could it be true? :foodndrink:

Anyway, this guy seems like he has had one too many cups of coffee...

anything new? not in a video watching mood

Paraphased transcript (this is actually all the questions in this interview) - Gamereactor interviewing Craig Lafferty (who is chewing gum the entire time):

Q: What's it like showing your game at E3
A: It's fun

Q: It's a jaw dropping game
A: Thanks, we tried, and you can go where you want, be who you want.

Q: How long have you been working on it?
A: About 3 years. We have a new A.I. system, new renderer, new UI, lots of new stuff, we call it the Creation Engine.

Q: What does that mean for the gameplay?
A: You don't pick out, I want to be a wizard, or I want to be a mage or whatever. You just start playing and go where you want, be who you want.

Q: That's what's so great about TES, that you can really do whatever you want, even collect spoons.
A: Yeah, we have Radiant Story, so we take it to the next level, you can really go where you want, be who you want.

Q: That's a big dragon, tell us about the dragons
A: You find out you're a dragonborn and you can speak the language of the dragons and shout like the dragons.

Q: Is that magic?
A: Not exactly, you can learn magic, and the shouts are different.

Q: Can you tell us about the story?
A: You start out as a prisoner -- obviously you don't die --and you don't have to do the main quest right away, you can go where you want, be who you want,

Q: This game looks great - what does that mean for the player experience?
A: We have a new engine, it's very detailed, and you can go where you want, be who you want.

Q: You can affect the economy, right?
A: NPCs have jobs in the game and the player can do the same activites, even sabotage a lumbermill, so you can be who you want, do what you want.

Q: Thank you for your time, Craig. I'm looking forward to November.
A: So am i.
