NEW issue with Crysis 2**********

Post » Tue May 19, 2009 10:51 pm

So I already posted that my game would randomly crash, with no info other than "Crysis 2 stopped working!"

After I could play both the beta, and the leaked version just fine.

Specs...

ASUS Crosshair Formula IV
Phenom xII 1090t six core OC'd 3.7
2x ATI 6870
8GB Gskill Ripjaws DDR3 1600

Now,... after suffering through my game randomly crashing,... (which has literally happened to me about 10-14 times today)
It crashed again... loading the mission where you finally get to Gould,... and when I reboot the game,... my brightness was magically set to 100% when I'd had it at 0%, and my save profile is MIA????

You're better than this CRYTEK,... and we PC gamers deserve better!!!!!!

If you played the leaked Crysis 2 most probably that is the problem.

How would that be the problem? It was completely/cleanly uninstalled, and rebooted b4 I installed the retail copy. I'm seriously about to just redownload the leaked copy again to be able to play the game at all.

have you tried to clean everything here after the beta?

C:\Users\[Your User Name]\Saved Games\Crysis 2\

the direction is all about settings, saves and technical stats. so i would recommend you to completely uninstall the game once again and clean everything in that folder and then cleanly install the game.

(for even better cleaning i strongly recommend using CCleaner for register "vacuuming")

Do you know that every single piece of pirated software comes loaded with malware?
Do you have a good and paid antivirus? Which one? Is the latest version of it?
Do you know that 99.9999% of the software you install don't really clean all the files and/or registry entries it made when you uninstall?

And of course, which are your system spects (including OS version)
