I agree with Holy, maybe a week or so's jump ahead, then we all make a sort of resest post to say what we are doing, almost like we are starting over.

I know what I'll be doing

I don't mind. But 1 month later is good, one week isn't enough to completely fix NM up from what just happened.

Josh gro-Graz has joined New Manhattan! This totally reminds me of my old RP the Manhattan War! :D

Here is my character sheet. And something you may or may not know, this is a redo of my old character from the Manhattan War.

Name: Marcus Adam Neverea goes by Mark Never.
Age: 30
Race: Caucasian/Canadian
Occupation: Mercenary/Assassin
Appearance: http://oi54.tinypic.com/30lm3v8.jpg stands at six feet four inches. In many people’s eyes Mark would be considered very attractive, he has wavy brown hair and deep water blue eyes, though people rarely see them due to the fact that Mark almost always has his sunglasses on. He also has a brown goatee. Years of living in the wastes has also given Mark a tan and built him to be quite muscular, but more tone then bulk.

Personality: Mark generally looks out for himself, but Mark will help those who he sees as “pure” or “good” if they are ever in trouble and he is around. Even though he looks out for himself only he does not judge a book by its cover, he will not see someone and instantly think they are corrupt though a small part in his mind will be thinking the worst of everyone. Overall he is a kind man, but if you get on his bad side, which is hard to do, look out.

Gear: Mark wears a custom suit of Combat Armor that was made for him in Edmonton, on the right shoulder guard there is a small Canadian Flag. The armour is a dark grey color.
Weapon: 2 M1911 Pistols and a Trench Knife.

Other: Mark will usually have a flask of spiced rum in his back pocket. He also has dog tags in his back pocket that have his fathers and mothers name on it.
Back-story: Not much is known about Mark as he just moved to Manhattan a couple of months ago, but he is a Mercenary who also does some assassination work and he is trying to make a name for himself in Manhattan.

Just came to say I've been wanting to join this RP for a while and finally got the opportunity. I'm looking forward to it.

Character Sheet:

Name: Leon Graves "Eclipse"
Age: 26
Race: Caucasian
Occupation: Leader of the Black Sun Smugglers
Appearance: 6'2 179lbs, Leon has short well trimmed jet black hair, and dark blue eyes. Leon is fairly rugged but in great shape. Has three short scars under his right eye. Has a Black Sun Tattoo on his left palm.
Personality: Cold, Calculating, occasional impulsiveness, No nonsense individual, Commands respect and loyalty, Hates to lose, is a chain smoker, has an addiction to Nuka Cola and playing poker.
Gear: When in battle he wears a set of black combat armor with a black sun logo, when in a formal setting he wears a black suit, black loafers, a red tie, and a fedora or bowler hat. When in a casual setting he wears a white thirst with a black vest, faded jeans, and a well worn pair of sneakers.
Weapons: Openly wears a Colt 1911 with laser sight on his left hip. Also keeps a concealed 9mm with extended clip inside his armor or jacket. When on combat operations uses a M1 Garand.
Other: Wears a Chain with a Gladegator Tooth Leon collected from his time in the Florida Everglades. Keeps Thirty-five bottlecaps in his pockets at all times. Has a walkie-talkie on his right hip, Pack of Lucky Seven Cigarettes
Backstory: Born into the Black Sun smugglers Leon had a rough childhood as he and his parents traveled up and down the coast making deals with various groups. As he became older Leon got aspirations of leading the Black Suns himself as current leadership left something to be desired. Shortly after his twentieth birthday he killed the head of the operation and seized control. Six years have passed and he hasn't looked back since.

Leon's group is based in and around Port Chester NY. Though it has been dubbed Port Neptune.

Welcome to the new entrants! I can see both of these characters involved in the mix of things. Looking forward to RP-ing with you guys!

Just to do a recap of what just happened, there was a war between some of the factions. It ended up as more of a stalemate than anything; but currently Justin Mieux of Arcadia (Colonel Martyr) is the behind-the-scenes leader of New Manhattan. The person whose doing all the actually ground work is the ex-Don of the New Manhattan Mafia; Mayor Frank Vercelotti (Holy Assassin, me). Alex Scallati (alex man142) and Lyn Grave (ramendia) have set up a new colony called Bridgeport which is occupied by intelligent Super Mutants. Alan James Sulter (The Enclave) is the acting president of the Enclave, and he's in some rural town, improving his weapons or something. Head of the Gauss Project, William Snowe (Dark Zerker) retreated from New Manhattan and built a new settlement of his own as well.

Most other users are currently inactive. I would suggest reading atleast a few threads prior to this to get a better feel for all the characters. As for what's currently going on; there's going to be a celebration this evening for Frank's birthday. It's an open party so any character can come; perhaps introducing yourselves to the Mayor might get you into the swing of things. :)

To give you a general layout of how it all works, New Manhattan is a settlement situated around Central Park, and Arcadia is two city blocks south of New Manhattan, Arcadia was 9 city blocks around, but ever since Snowe (Darkzerker) retreated, it's given me the opportunity to expand fast, so everything south of Arcadia is now under my control. So I'm the sort of 'de facto ruler' of Manhattan at the moment, I own and run Arcadia and the expansion of it, but Frank Vercelotti (Holy Assassin) runs New Manhattan for me, but he's allowed to run it his way so long as it doesnt conflict my interests.

Don't forget Lyn's deathclaws, which live right outside the walls of Bridgeport, plus her mirelurks that reside in the waterfront portion :D

Manhattan is a pretty big place, hell, New York is a pretty big place, I personally can't imagine the whole city being organised but rather most being rather un-populated aside from settlements, with only prospectors and raider gangs like the Rippers living in most of the city, that and just waster scum.

New Manhattan, the city, itself is built on Central Park. I imagine that part to have a New Renoish hub feel. The rest has a "Darker D.C feel."

Well that I suppose I could see, filthy casinoes, hokers and addicts with some thirsty caravaners and con artists thrown in... nice.

Add Antium to the Empire Wasteland. There are 7 major places
Great Legion Wall - A massive wall circling across the ruins of Stamford to deter any unwanted forces. Heavily garrisoned on all sides with only two entrances. Each has a checkpoint every 500 meters, containing one rocket artillery position.
Noctem Gate - The secondary gates that are a popular hot spot at night, having many bars and inns around the Noctem gate.
Diem Gate - The main gates that shine from day to night as if it were noon all day long. Where all caravans and travelers stop to trade goods. Has many trading stalls right outside.
Zodiac Tower - Houses the main government officials and has the Zodiac Penthouse where William and Sonia live.
Xian Plaza - A massive plaza containing 90% of all the major work places , food supply areas, markets, and casinos. Very high living costs, usually only company owners can live here.
Medici Residential Area - Where everybody who isn't a company owner or government official live. The largest District, containing about 50 big apartments, all renovated Pre-War buildings.
Horizon Square - The most popular hot spot for government officials and their secretaries. Also where the NSU(Nova Spy Unit) acts as a sort of Secret Service.

Just something which I've always wondered, should people on the East Coast really know about the NCR?

BoS is only to the North in DC though, the NCR is over 1500 miles away, aside from a maybe a few references to something big out west I doubt any hard infomation on what they are would make it across.

Logical, but it's only speculation. We'd never know for sure until they make a Fallout that takes place on the East Coast. But thinking about it, I don't recall anyone in FO3 ever talking about it, so I don't see why anyone else would, but then again; all this is a made-up location. We can pretty much say what we want and get away with it. :P
