2. six:Male
3. Age:35
4. Occupation: Owner of the wealthy strip of Pre-War shops turned into casinos.
5. Weapons: A 9mm pistol with a picture of Atlas holding up the world on the pistol grip plate.
6. Residence:
7. Gear: Various Pre-War 'Movie Star' styled high end suits. A cigarette case made of platinum and a silk silver gray fedora.
8. Appearance (May use a picture):http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110714234461/lanoire/images/thumb/b/b7/Earle.jpg/555px-Earle.jpg
9. Personality: Sardonic and smarmy, a bit of a cynic. Always willing to sell out any soul worth a cap, he helps and protects anyone he considers a friend. 10. Background: Before the war, Justin Mieux was a rich criminal. He never called himself a gangster since he never ran a gang. Mieux was a ghost in the underworld, working through proxies, false identities, and many other genius methods. He lived lavishy, feared by the underworld. But Mieux had his own fear, he was sure the Reds would do something. Through his connections in the military, he bought an experimental stasis device for 'an unnamed high level government official'. Three miles under New York City, Mieux built a small bunker consisting of a generator and the stasis chamber, a suitcase with his prized gun, his favorite suit (see appearance) and his platinum engraved cigarette case. There was also a small opulent bedroom with a Radiation King TV and tv shows of the time in a holotape player built just in case the surface was not habitable. Fortunately for him, the surface was habitable. When he emerged from the sewer grate, he looked around to a lawless nearly dead city (To his standards) and grinned as he lit a cigarette, and said after puffing his smoke, "Now THIS is my kind town now" and laughed as he put his plans to get rich into motion.

Yes, there are, i'll add them into the locations later. Vault 110, well, all but three people were completely massacred by mutants. Alexander Scalatti, his wife Ann Scalatti, and someone who is far away from the Empire Wasteland at the moment (some might know who he is, but I won't overpower the faction this time if they are introduced in any fashion besides caravans and the embassy).

Dam i was going to have my character come from Vault 110 I guess i choose one of other Vaults or have my character come from a Vault further away, outside gamezone...

Paragon

Brief description

Paragon is, essentially, a fraternity comprised of individuals who wish to bring justice to New Manhattan and the nearby outer regions. It claims to be the right arm of all that is righteous, and its members (especially the higher-ups) are steadfast advocates of moral absolutism. It is the consensus among Paragon that through taking action against the dissolute, a greater humanity can prevail and earth itself can advance free of the rapacity prevalent in the current ‘society’.

The name ‘Paragon’ itself refers to a perfectly cut diamond – in this case, a symbol of spiritual and moral excellence. This excellence is constituted by an amalgamation of the typical desirable qualities such as valour, virtue, selflessness, etc.
Paragon sees these qualities to be at loggerheads with the sin and vice marring New Manhattan, and believe them to be irreconcilable. Ergo, crime syndicates and the like must be purged – through any means necessary. The nature of such cleansing is neither here nor there, for no matter how immoral (at face value) the methods are, the long term ends will more than justify the means. Take torture, for instance: If Paragon had to employ such a draconian method of punishment on, say, a band of slavers, it would be fit to do as those men will have curtailed the liberties of others to such an extent that deprivation of their own will be warranted, and it may just prevent such evil in the future.

Indeed, Paragon makes clear distinctions between right and wrong. Relativism is most certainly a philosophy they reject.

History

Currently, Paragon’s HQ is situated in Central Square – the same building as when it was known as the Smithson Company, a mercenary company.
Kane Smithson headed Smithson Company, organising and distributing contracts and pay. He was a ruthless, immoral bastard who had no regard for human life, so long as it allowed him to rake in the caps. Due to the lack of a judicial institution, Smithson was let off Scott free for his crimes, irrespective of their gravity. Slaughtering entire families at the request of others? It mattered not, for his employees valued their pay (and life) too much. That was until Douglas Murray took a stance.

Douglas Murray, who now guides (read ‘leads’) Paragon, was the son of a priest before slavers seized their little monastery at what is now known as Liberty Lost. Murray’s father’s teachings often contained elements of militant fundamentalism, which explains his sense of morality and absolutism. Aided by their skill in firearms (which were taught at early age, for the obvious reasons one would expect in a nuclear wasteland), Murray, alongside a group of his closest friends, escaped via ferry to Manhattan Island.
Seeing their families and closest friends killed altered their view on life, jading it somewhat. Not willing to live a life of destitution, all fifteen of them –including Murray – applied for Smithson Company, not knowing its true nature. After proving their worthiness in combat, they were employed.

A few light contracts were accepted, though the group became increasingly disgusted at the brutal nature of the company. After a long string of events and careful planning, Murray and his entourage (with the backing of a few other Company employees) killed Smithson and assumed control over the company, changing it to Paragon.

Current situation

Paragon still generates revenue by accepting contracts from those who require their services. However, the contracts must be abide to a strict moral code – otherwise they shall be rejected. Whoever carries out the deed is rewarded with a fare share of the cut, depending on their financial situation at the time.
In doing so, Paragon effectively eliminates two birds with one stone (though they’d surely phrase it differently) in that justice is served and they gain the means (money) to continue doing so.
Although Murray certainly does not wish to depend so heavily on caps to survive, he realise it’s the only feasible way to ensure Paragon’s growth and influence. It also covers day to day necessities such as food and water, which Paragon supplies its members – a number that is ever increasing as Paragon accepts even those who are willing to fight for the right cause, but have no viable way to do so. These people are often refugees looking for shelter, which Paragon offers.

Paragon further profits by trading with vendors. Trading generally consists of selling surplus supplies of ammunition and weapons, some of which can be manufactured on sight (Smithson previously provided its own equipment), albeit to poor quality. Unsurprisingly, the aforementioned vendors must swear an oath (and in most cases sign a contract) to Paragon, promising to sell their wears if only it benefits the ‘right’ cause. Failure to uphold this promise, and the vendor will suffer the consequences.

Not all of this is to say that all of Paragon’s members are sanctimonious, holier-than-thou saints. A fair few are simply remnants of the Smithson Company who were apathetic toward the uprising, thus they took no part. They accept contracts and serve Paragon well enough, but do not endeavour to pursue its ideological desires.

Still, among most, the unwavering goal is to bring to an end the corruption of New Manhattan and establish Paragon as the source of power which presides virtuously over the region. From there, Murray and his followers are dogged in their belief that NM will prosper.

Well, here it is. Admittedly, there is a need for some more description of Paragon as an organisation; I haven’t even mentioned the separate branches yet. All that’ll come in time, though. Feeling rather tired, at the moment.
Hope this is all right, and I apologise if it’s difficult to read – there isn’t exactly a coherent structure here, I’ll be honest. :P Of course, feel free to recommend any changes, etc. I’ll get on my character sheet soon enough.

Well, the vault massacre is fairly set in the RP, sorry. There is vault 115 however, that is still active if you would like to come from there. (There was an active vault in the older New Manhattan that was never explored. I may have changed the number, but this vault did exist.)

okay i shall have my character come from Vault 115, it's not that important as my Guy wasn't going to live in or even near the Vault, just come from it and have equipment from it.

Chriso123: I have decided to not have my Character be part of the Paragon (atleast for now) but will support there work.

also i'm going to bed soon ( I live In england) so whlist i be getting A CS up i won't be posting :(

Also forgot to add, my character lives on the top level of a hotel he calls his floor. He lives in the suite/penthouse. But it isn't as high tech as last time since my character didnt use this as his base before the war. This penthouse has the Lucky 38's penthouse style (IE white marble and windows, not neccesarily a round shape. The lobby level is turned into a casino and etc. It's basically a standard hotel, but he has two protectrons guarding the doors of the top floor elevator to keep unwanted people out.

This was the reaction I was expecting. As a RPer, I'd hate to be shackled by the dogma of a faction that wasn't my own. It'll probably be better for both of us if your character is independent.

Still, as you alluded to, Paragon would be happy to employ your services should they serve its ends. :)

EDIT: Like Lewis, I'm for England, so shall not be posting tonight. :P

A basic faction sheet submitted for your approval Alex:

Majestic

Majestic – sometimes referred to informally as Majic – operates from a field offices located in Reuter’s Way (MJ-1), Central Square (MJ-2) and Cap Town (MJ-3), with the fearsome Majestic Command (MAJCOM) based in a remote complex outside of the main city.

History
Majestic was formed shortly after the war by the survivors of a secretive NSA branch whom were working in cooperation with local FBI agents in breaking a Chinese sympathiser ring. When the bombs fell the men and women stuck together, the FBI agents were mostly local and saved their families before returning, the NSA agents however were all from out of town; some tried to leave and make it back home, those who realised the futility of such actions remained but became heavily jaded.

Majestic was formed some years after the war when local raider gangs were on the increase, compelled by a long lost sense of duty, the community which would later form Majestic took it upon themselves to try and clean these individuals out of the city. As some form of civilisation returned to Manhattan, along with it became true ‘organised’ crime like that from before the war; with that came the need for new law enforcement, and just like the criminals, pre-war in methods.

Modus Operandi
Majestic doesn’t operate as covertly as it would prefer, at least on a day-to-day basis, but makes the most of it’s notoriety in intimidation; victims of Majestic are often to be found in public places in horrific states of mutilation and with a list of their penances around their necks. When copy-cat attacks were carried out of captured Majestic personnel in 2072 in Reuter’s Way, Majestic came out in full force and were responsible for the deaths of 86 individuals in revenge. Majestic will stop at nothing in the pursuit of criminals, should innocent people have to come to some harm in some way in the pursuit of justice then so be it and if it involves a crime committed against their own then they draw no distinctions. Majestic has no scroupels in their pursuit of justice, murder, blackmail, everything is open.

Majestic maintains high relations with the rich and connected in Central Square, often hiring their agents as bodyguards and security personnel in return for favours and funding; these exercises also serve as training, all agents operate in pairs, one experienced and one recruit.

Agency
Majestic agents, referred to locally as mibs, make up the entirety of the community known as Majestic – domestic Majestic tasks such as purchasing of food and supplies for the community are also handled by agents. Majestic agents can usually be identified by their dark, ‘unobtrusive’ suits, sunglasses and the look of a bulky man squeezed into a tight suit. Majestic operatives won’t ever be found without .45 calibre Pistol but other armaments available to include 9mm SMGs, .45 Submachine Guns and 12 Gauge Shotguns.

Majority
Aside from the agency, Majestic also maintains a small specialist military wing; around three dozen agents serve dual roles on the Agency and Majority. Armed to the teeth with some of the finest pre-war military equipment; when somebody is out of reach of six, dark suited Majestic agents with .45’s, Majority is sent in.

  • 4. Occupation: O'Rielly family member.
  • 5. Weapons: M1911A1 Single action .45 semi-automatic pistol.
  • 6. Residence: The Estates of Harbour Town
  • 7. Gear: His dress sense is not flashy, or anything that draws attention. Jeans, t-shirt and a jacket are regular clothing.
  • 8. Appearance: A handsome lad, dark yet soft features. Light hair and brown eyes. He's a considerable catch. He also speaks with a soothing Irish accent, a foreign attraction that most ladies find alluring.
  • 9. Personality: The smartest of the four brothers, David has much more of his father in him than the others, making him the more dangerous of the O'Reilly brothers, he's usually keeps in temper in check, a ability to keep himself composed in stressful situations. He shares his father's views on drugs that they're a tool for the weak, and won't engage in promiscuous activities. All of this gave him a perspective on the world that the strongest survive, through the will of those around him. His father united clans and found support in Balsley with the poor and downtrodden. He soon learned that you had to get dirty to do what was needed.

With the end of the conflict. Life had some normality. He saw the two sided coin of what was the Sons of Eire; The one side that looked after its own, made sure that others wouldn't be left without. And he also saw the side that broke skulls and cut off fingers.

Aside from those, his life had been somewhat uneventful. It's only been since his 18th birthday that he started to become more involved with family matters, and as he gets older the more he is expected to take charge. Something he believes his father see's him more doing than either one of his siblings.
