Evander Jamison

"Well to tell ya the truth; I wanted to know the very same thing myself" the man said, looking sown at the woman in slight hysterics not too far from him. "But we're okay, trust me. Mind explaining what's going on by the way? Why all armored up, something big going down?"

"Precisely that my friend, precisely that." Issac said.

"I think we should leave before they ask the wrong question." Maxwell mumbled.

Evander kept his eyes trained on the small group in front of him while listening to his friends, watching as the woman slowly pulled herself to her own two feet.

"Th-these animals are my friends. They won't hurt you, as long as you don't hurt them, and the reason for that is because...I'm a beast lord."

Woah there...

Maxwell and Evander exchanged glances, this was definitely not their territory, and they had to move.

"Well miss, I apologize for our disturbance. Young sir, keep safe." With that he dropped down to the murky waters, his garrison following behind him. Next stop, Times Square.

OOC: I wont travel to Time's Square yet, I want to give Holy one last chance to interact with me...

Lyn Grave

Lyn heard the Brotherhood members walking off, and let out a small sigh of relief. She turned to Rico. "I would appreciate it if we went to see the Don right now. I'm very uncomfortable being near members of the Brotherhood." Lyn's stomach growled after she spoke. A bit of food would be nice...Maybe the Don would be nice enough to treat me to a meal... She contemplated as she rubbed her belly.

OOC: I enjoy RPing with an experienced member, Ant1iv3, but to be quiet honest, I don't see what more we can do together at this point. The Don is rallying irregularities together to make sense of what's actually going down (so as to be somewhat independent of Williams updates). But maybe when Evander hears that Rico and Lyn are heading to the Don, he interferes for some reason?

BIC:

Rico Traponi

"Precisely that my friend, precisely that." one of the armored men answered, while another grumbled.

Upon hearing the womans response, both of them seemed rather alarmed, and decided to move out. "Well miss, I apologize for our disturbance. Young sir, keep safe." the apparent leader said before turning away.

"I would appreciate it if we went to see the Don right now. I'm very uncomfortable being near members of the Brotherhood." the woman managed, but Rico scrunched his face, as he was not sure if the soldiers were out of earshot.

Where the hell could they possibly be going? The Don might want to know of this. Rico realized. But then his attention turned to the woman completely. "Okay, we'll go right now. Just one last thing." Rico assured, not sure how exactly to comfort her. He settled for placing an uneasily on her shoulder, like someone helping an injured person.

Then out where the soldiers went he called out; "Hey, hold on a second!" he yelled. "You guys wouldn't mind leaving a radio frequency number I could contact you guys on, right? Just incase of trouble." he bluffed.

He may not have been the sharpest, but he had enough street smarts in him to know that these people were of interest to the Don, and he might need to contact them in the future.

OOC: Well, I paved a way so that we can interact in the future. That is; if you trust the man enough to give a contact number..

Evander Jamison

"Hey, hold on a second!" the man yelled, Evander stopped. "You guys wouldn't mind leaving a radio frequency number I could contact you guys on, right? Just incase of trouble."

"No, we have it under control. In all honesty. I think he'll need us more than vice versa," Evander retorted. He wasn't comfortable about heading out and leaving Frank alone to fend for himself, but hopefully the mafia were a greater force then Evander estimated. The man was definitely a rookie in the whole business of trading confrontations with big guys with bug guns, but he was also definitely a contact.

"Issac, give that man our radio frequency. I know his boss, and they might need our help. They could also double as our fallback if we find ourselves in over our heads."

He nodded and jogged awkwardly through the waters to the man, keeping a sharp eye on the animals that watched his every move, faces malevolent. He caught back up with Evander as they walked together through New Manhattan's streets as it transformed from outer-city ghetto to hustle and bustle of center city Manhattan. Not long before the people were seen they noticed a new area that was highly blockaded with shimmering lights and intercom ambiance. It seemed to stretch for at last a block from what Evander could make out, and it peaked his interest, but he had a duty, and not too far from the new settlement was Times Square.

Besides the surprising Vertibird stocked with Enclave troopers it was completely deserted, and Evander was dumbstruck by their numbers. Thankfully, he had the element of surprise on his side.

"Okay, we ran into Enclave earlier than I expected. I want them dead though, so we'll plan a base of attack. I want you five with me, we'll curve around the right side of the park. I want you five to my left, prepare to flank. Issac, go with them, Max, you choose."

"I'll go with you," Max said almost immediately.

Evander nodded, happy for the extra help.

"We'll sit tight until my que," Evander said. He wasn't ready, but he was ready as he would ever be.

Rico Traponi

After some short bickering amongst themselves, one of the men came back to give their frequency number. "Got it, thanks" Rico nodded once it was done, and finally turned, leading Lyn off the shoreline. "Come on, Lyn. You can meet the Don now, Im sure he'll be pleased to meet you." Rico assured, like one might have done to a lost child.

He walked towards the city now, hoping she was following him as he expected. He tried to keep next to her, so as to give her a sense of security; although he doubted it was required as a wolf and mirelurk would probably have more than sufficed.

Once they were close enough to see the Mafia building, Rico pulled out his radio to call the Don himself. "Boss" Rico said, starting the transmission. "Im okay, I have the girl with me, the one I told you about. She's uh.. Pretty interesting" Rico said, glancing towards her, smiling. "We'll be there any minute, see you in your office boss" Rico confirmed, ending the transmission.

By the time he was done talking, they were at the foot of the building. "Well, here it is. The New Manhattan Mafia building. Base of probably the largest criminal organization on the East coast. We don't even have to be shy about it, everyone knows anyway! Barely anyone could touch us!" Rico boasted, chuckling, and ushered her inside. "Oh wait though, no pets allowed inside." He mentioned, eying the wolf and mirelurk.

---

Don Frank Vercelotti

"Boss" the radio on Franks desk blurted out suddenly, shaking Frank in his seat, and disrupting his thoughts.

"Jesus, is that you Rico?" he asked, leaning forward towards the radio. "For [censored]s sake, why didn't you call this whole time? You aren't knee deep in [censored] are ya?" he asked, more worried than angry.

After they were done conversing, Frank learned that they would be up any minute, and he would finally have something of interest on his hands. He unconsciously began dusting his desk with the back of his hands, and adjusting his suit, before running his fingers through his slicked back hair. Okay, we're gonna have company. Frank thought. Hopefully this one won't throw bottles at my wall. he smiled.

Waiting for his response from the Enclave, Justin decided to do some city work. He watched the various monitors and status boards, if the computers detected any trouble, his 'police force' would be alerted by a small radio clipped on the right shoulder of their combat armor. So far, things were well, all quiet, the occassional argument, but never any signs of trouble. He read his dossiers on the various factions in the city, the one on the New Manhattan Mafia was what was being read. Much to Justins frustration, like the Old World members of the Mafia, they were tight-lipped and rats were found and executed swiftly, so apart from the name of the Don and 'criminal organization', his folder was empty. He drank a small glass of scotch and filed the dossier away and flipped through the cabinet to the 'A-E' section of the drawer, and pulled out his thick file on the Enclave. Here he had various snapped pictures of the bigger names that had managed to be caught on camera, but most of his folder was filled with pictures of the VB-02 Vertibird as well as personality conclusions of the people he'd heard on the radio. Just as he had been about to read the new memo spooled out of the computer, his camera designated 'Times Square:Sector uncontrolled', meaning a sector not under his control, blinked a red light above the monitor, meaning movement was noted. He watched as people, undistinguishable do to their distance from it, were seemingly sneaking not far from a stationary vertibird. Justin, never playing the meddler, sat back in his plush red chair and smiled, drinking from his scotch glass, amused to see what a small group of people could do against Enclave trained soldiers.

OOC: Just so everyone knows, I'm still here. It's just I've had a few things to do (mostly revision and work for upcoming exams) and, if I'm frank, I've been a little confused with what's going on at the Vault. Not actually what's happening, but where we're located. Don't worry too much, though, Alex and Dark; I think I've got it under control now. I think...

And Dark, I'm not sure how you feel about this, but after discussing the GECK matter with Adam (The Enclave), we concluded that it's only really fair that we secure the package. It's Adam who introduced this element of the story, and if it were not for him, we wouldn't even be at the Vault right now. You've had your fair share of success, and you'll have much more, but we've had little yet, so it seems like the most balanced thing to do. We want the main factions to have equal opportunities, do we not? :D

If you disagree, or want to raise a question, feel free to drop us a line. Thanks, buddy.

OOC: I agree with Chriso. As a faction, you have seen a ton of success, and you need at least some defeat :D

Alexander Scalatti

Alex's eyes widened with wonder, the vault door was opening. As soon as the door opened however, Alex heard some blood curdeling screams. Mutants. Alex raised his pistol high and slowly entered the vault.

It was dark and dingy, the lights were hardly on. [censored] mutants trashed this place. Alex proceded forward and opened a door. A mutants was right behind the door. It lunged forward, but Alex simply stepped out the way. The mutants hit a wall and died from the hit. Stupid mutants. The mutants were nothing like Super Mutants, they were like zombies, but fast zombies.

Alex entered the roomm and found a still working terminal. He powered it up and opened up the directory. He clicked on the -secure- option, and was asked to type a passcode. He typed a passcode and the screen immediently showed a map.

Alright, the GECK is on the second floor.

Lyn Grave

Lyn followed Rico, focusing on calming herself completely before she got there. As they approached the building, Rico made a call on a radio. She didn't pay too much attention, since her mind was on the upcoming meeting. One line caught her attention.
"Oh wait though, no pets allowed inside." Rico mentioned, eying the wolves and mirelurk.
"They are not my pets" Lyn retorted, feeling back to normal. "As I said before, they are my friends, and my guardians. Besides, with only the short amount of time I've had with the mirelurk, I can't leave him on his own. He might revert to hostility without me here. I appologize, but it would be in all of our best interests for them to stay with me."

OOC: Sure. It gives a twist and after all, it makes sense. The GP is strong but can't spare a war with the Enclave after all. Again, it's a good way to progress the story.

William Snowe

William thought for a moment. Would he really sacrifice the lives of men with families to get one piece of technology? Of course. But it's not just the individual, it's the entire infrastructure of the Gauss Project at risk. If the Enclave were to attack while the Gauss Project were still somewhat weakened by the bombings 2 weeks ago, it would truly be catastrophic. True, he would have the GECK, but that wouldn't matter if the Gauss Project couldn't defend themselves. Maybe the Gauss Project could win the war, but it doesn't change that they would be hurt so severely, it would be nearly impossible to recover. And with the Federation attacking at random, they would die. In any case, the two important factions to rebuild the world will be killed if a war were to break out.

He spoke softly but loud enough for the Enclave to hear. "I will allow you to have the GECK so long as you let all of us go back to New Manhattan unscathed. I will not willingly toss the lives of my men for the GECK."

The soldiers quietly whispered to themselves, even the elite squad of soldiers trying to follow Alex. William smiled at the soldiers. "If you wish to lose your life, so be it. But I'm giving you a way out. Remember our roots. Robco was associated with the Enclave and I intend to keep that relationship strong."

Slowly, the soldiers started to pack up, nodding their heads in understanding of the situation. William again spoke to the Enclave squad. "My soldiers are packing up our equipment, allow us safe passage."

OOC: Hope all this is cool with you, Dark. :)

[censored]! Is that a pulse grenade? A blue aura exploded from the grenade. Adams was stumbled, and almost fell to his feet, only staying up by holding on to Haywood – the behemoth of the group.

“Sir, our equipment’s down – nothing’s working!” said the scientist. She began to panic, rushing around looking for spare pieces of technology left unscathed.

“Dammit. All right, Haywood, you know what this means. It’s time for war. Frag out!” Adams barked, spitting in anger.

Just as Haywood was about to launch, a voice echoed from further down the halls. “Hold up. I think our friends have come to their senses,” he said, lowering the grenade in Haywood’s hand.

"I will allow you to have the GECK so long as you let all of us go back to New Manhattan unscathed. I will not willingly toss the lives of my men for the GECK. My soldiers are packing up our equipment, allow us safe passage."

A clown-like smile broke across Adams’s face. He began to shake as the excitement rippled throughout his veins. He felt like a child in a candy store. Never had the Colonel been in such a state of ecstasy – a GECK would be safe in the Enclave’s hands; they could now truly begin America’s rebirth.

Still, Adams forced all his feelings to the deepest regions of his body, and strode round the corner revealing himself to the Gauss Project for the first time. He could not hold back a smug grin, for this was a victory – my victory.

“Mr. Snowe, is it? I apologise for the, erm, more than unpleasant circumstances, but it’s truly a pleasure to finally meet you face to face. I’ll tell you something: you’re clever. War with the Enclave would have sealed your doom – it’s nice to see you made the wise decision. Perhaps, in the future, we can strengthen our bonds, but for now, it’s time we part ways. On behalf of the United States government, I order you to leave. Immediately.” Adam’s tone became progressively sterner; he did not care for their ‘relationship’. What could we possibly do together to save this country? Sorry, my friends, but you’re simply pawns in this great game; the chorus in this grand drama.

Adams turned and addressed all Enclave personnel. “Okay, men, you heard ‘em. Clear the way – let’s make this smooth. C’mon, c’mon!” The teams stood against the wall, snickering and scoffing as the Gauss Project lumbered out to the desolate ruins of Times Square. Look at them, wallowing in their own feebleness. Weak – worthy of nothing.

“Butler, pay attention. Radio the President, inform him of my, erm, our victory. Perhaps he’ll like to see this himself – he needs some sun.”

“Right away, sir.” Adams nodded, and called out the remaining personnel.

“Let’s pull ourselves together. Today we stand triumphant, but there is much work to be done.” The Colonel looked around; they stood to attention. Satisfied, Adams continued. “Sigma, you’ll remain here until Autumn Squad and I return. Be wary – those Gauss Monkeys have got a look to ‘em, you can never tell when they’ll try something. You spot something out of place, you establish contact with me pronto. Understood? Good. Science team, stick with them, see if you can get our equipment up and running again – if you can, use it to scan the area for potential tech, preferably that of high value. Am I clear, everybody?”

“Yes, Colonel,” they said in unison. Adams was taken back at how robotic they sounded. He laughed inwardly.

“Good. Autumn Squad, on me.”

They marched through the dark halls. It was gloomy, and stank of death, most likely the mutated beings lifeless on the cold, metallic floor – Adams kicked them as he walked passed. [censored] mutants.

Adams spotted Alex pouring over a terminal – the colonel picked up his pace. “Ah, Mr. Scalatti. I’ve news I think you’ll want to hear – the GP have been dealt with. They leave this place, defeated by the righteous!” His voice rang throughout the deserted corridors, echoing life into a long dead place. “But, as I told my men, it’s not over. How do you fair? Anything to report? Your chance to save America nears, my friend.”

OOC: Adam, feel free to control Butler for when he radios Sutler. It's much easier to play 2 characters for that very short time.

Alexander Scalatti

As Alex was looking at the terminal, a pop up appeared on the screen.

-WARNING HOLE IN SECOND FLOOR NON VAULT TARGETS IN SECOND FLOOR-

"[censored]!!" Alex threw his fedora to the ground. Before he could pick it up, Adamns came into the room.

“Ah, Mr.

Alex bent over and picked up his grey fedora. "Thats good to hear, but we got worse problems. You see, according to the vault mainframe, mutants are crawling on the second floor, which is the floor with the GECK in it. Don't worry. the GECK is in a locked room, but we will have to fight through mutants to get there. This will be one huge slog."

OOC: This part of my RP would be to develop William as a character and expand a bit more on the relationship between him and Sonia before the whole wedding day thing. Up until now, I've portrayed William as a tactical genius and the perfect General up until Vault 109. This post is to show William's human side and his breaking point.
William Snowe

William rode in the APC all the way up north back to New Manhattan, the massive personnel carrier smashing through overturned cars and even small pickup trucks. He looked at the thermal radar and saw as the radar signal get fainter and fainter as they got closer to New Manhattan, the two signals obviously being Alex and the Enclave squad.

He headed down into the bunker, relieving the soldiers and heading to his suite underground. Sonia greeted him with a warm smile. "William, you're back!"
William simply grumbled and went on his terminal, examining the Securitrons and the progress of a possible second Plasma Lamp to reboot the hundreds of robots laying dormant. Sonia walked over and wrapped her arms around him. "Is something the matter?"

William responded by shoving a piece of paper at her. "Read it and THEN ask me what happened!" He snapped. She hastily read the letter and in it was a detailed list of the Enclave's potential, all printed from the Robco database. Hundreds of troops, technology that rivals the Gauss Project, Vertibirds, a perfect hierarchical organization, and the list goes on and on. Sonia replied with a simple, "oh."

"Yeah 'OH'. We had to [censored] flee because of them!" He yelled.
Sonia started to get tearful. "William..." She whispered.
"I might as well [censored] fight the damn MILITARY while I'm at it! Yeah, let's pick a fight with the U.S [censored] military!"
He stormed out of the Penthouse and headed to the massive laboratory. There, the new laboratory, specializing in the replication of the Plasma Lamp, overlooked the massive armada of Securitrons that were begging to be reactivated. He glared at the scientists. "Is it done?"

The scientists sadly shook their head no. "No sir...we promise to have it up and running in one week."
"You best...for your sake." William said coldly and watched the pulsating Plasma Lamp sit in the middle of a fairly large generator, shooting huge bolts of lightning around the contained area. He sighed and sat down on a lawn chair, watching the glowing piece of tech in the darkness.

Sonia

Sonia sat in the underground Penthouse, sobbing on the bed before a knock was heard. "Come in..." She said, hoping it was William. It was the psychiatrist, William's personal psychiatrist for that matter. He sat down on the bed and looked around at the ornate furniture. "Don't take it too bad ma'am."
She wiped the tears from her eyes and looked at the psychiatrist. "Don't take it too bad? My fiance just yelled at me!"

"Everybody has a breaking point ma'am. William's been suppressing it since the Battle of New Manhattan. Think about it. He's been commanding a force unrivaled by anything other than the Enclave or the Federation and took out New Manhattan in a day. Then the Federation shows up as another powerful entity. He beat them back but the stress of a power game would bring anybody to a breaking point. It's just a miracle it didn't happen sooner. This loss at Vault 109 simply drove him over the edge."

Sonia nodded and slumped over to the intercom. "Sonia Marx...I'm going to the New Manhattan Mafia Building and staying there for a night."
In an instant, a literal battalion of soldiers escorted Sonia through the relatively clean and well maintained streets. She could see that managing a city, even with the help of the Don would take its toll. And simultaneously managing an equally big base AND managing a war would really break somebody.

Sonia headed to the building and saw a young woman, a mafia man, and creatures seemingly escorting the woman. "As I said before, they are my friends, and my guardians. Besides, with only the short amount of time I've had with the mirelurk, I can't leave him on his own. He might revert to hostility without me here. I apologize, but it would be in all of our best interests for them to stay with me."

The Securitrons broke off from the bodyguard position to the woman. "Wild animals are not allowed in New Manhattan grounds by the order of Commander Parker," in a booming Securitron voice.

OOC: This is a 'memory' post. To give an idea of who my character was before the War.

Watching the shifty men on the monitor, his eyes blurred, not with bad vision, but with the spark of reliving memories. Memories of a time when the world was home. His life before the war.

The sun gleamed on Justins shades as he boarded a plane leaving McCarran International Airport, he wore an cream white suit with grey pinstripes, the warm desert wind whipping his tie as he took one last look at Las Vegas. "Sir?" Justin's pilot called to him." What? Oh, I'm sorry my good man." He sat in his seat, opening his leather brown suitcase, he counted out the 1 million dollars he withdrew from his casino. His partner thought he was nuts, selling his stake for a meager 1 million. But he didn't care, hell, Vegas would soon be descimated and turned into burning rubble. He prepared mentally for his attempt to purchase ownership of the hotel, racing against time. How much time? He wasn't sure, so he acted fast.

Within 7 hours, he was in New York City. He stepped out of the rear of the light blue Corvega, entering the engraved door of the hotel, face to face with the owner of one of the finest hotels in the city. Little did the owner know, Justin had been sneakily converting the Penthouse he bought into a hidden fortress. The owner, a man with a thin moustache and a high end tuxedo spoke in a snobby voice. "Ah, our finest guest, how may I help you sir?" Justin made no attempts at formality. "I want to purchase ownership rights of this hotel. Name your price and I'll pay it." The owner, obviously thinking he was joking "Hah, sure, three hundred thousand dollars and it's yours." Justin, taking the joke with utter seriousness. "Heres five hundred thousand." The man was dumbstruck, losing his hotel in one fell stroke. "I....THIS......YOU.....SWINDLER.....YOU'LL HEAR FROM MY LAWYERS YOU CRETIN!" Justin only raised an eyebrow, then forcibly kicking out all patrons. He then attempted to call Mr. Robert House to purchase Securitrons, but his secratary at RobCo said Mr. House had gone into seclusion. Instead, he was directed to the acting representative, saying House had taken all of the Securitrons with him. They did offer seventy sentrybots, but he said thirty would suffice, then he purchased an additional ten. These he stored in his home in Vegas. But as Vegas would be destroyed in the fires of the soon to come war, he wrote them off as a loss.

After setting all of his affairs in order, Justin stripped nvde, entering cryogenic stasis, he set the systems to function for ten years. Little did he know, in only a year, the war would happen. A war that would change his fate in ways he never would have expected.

Rico Traponi

"They are not my pets" Lyn retorted, seeming like she had reverted to her old self. "As I said before, they are my friends, and my guardians. Besides, with only the short amount of time I've had with the mirelurk, I can't leave him on his own. He might revert to hostility without me here. I appologize, but it would be in all of our best interests for them to stay with me."

Rico radioed the Don dutifully, mentioning that there was a problem of sorts.

Before Rico could come up with something to say to Lyn; a few Securitrons showed up and began reminding them of the 'rules'. "Wild animals are not allowed in New Manhattan grounds by the order of Commander Parker."

Does it look like we give a flying [censored] about Commander Parker and his goddamned orders? We're a criminal organization! By nature, we *don't* follow the rules! Rico began screaming in his mind, with an outraged look on his face.

"Shut it, tin can!" Rico barked at the Securitrons, suddenly feeling very defensive over Lyn. He then noticed a woman standing several feet away, she didn't seem like an ordinary New Manhattan citizen though, as she was dressed much more sharply, and lacked a thick layer of grime on her skin. "And just who in the name of Christ are you?" Rico demanded, looking at the lady.

---

Don Frank Vercelotti

Wanting to make his guest feel right at home, he decided to greet them at the door. He was slightly irked at not being able to receive them in his office, as was customary, but he decided not to get too touchy on the matter.

Stepping out of the elevator on the bottom floor, Frank strolled out of the building smoothly to face a rather bizarre scene. Several feet ahead of him was his own man, who was standing next to a rather slender looking woman, with long brown hair, and wearing clumsily thrown together leather scraps. This must be our 'irregularity' Frank deduced, before looking next to the woman. Franks eyes bulged for a moment, before he regained his composure. A mirelurk, and a wolf. Now I know what's so damn irregular. Frank shrugged. So much for keeping a clean office. he rolled his eyes. He then spotted not too far ahead of them a group of Securitrons bickering. Damn it, ever since the Gauss Project came, the place has been infested with tin cans. he grimaced.

Sure, the Gauss Project helped improve the quality of life immensely in the city, and provided a great deal of benefits for the city, and it's people. But from time to time, slight irritations showed up which made Frank long for the good ol' days.

Snapping out of his daydream he looked beyond the robots and he spotted a familiar face. The beautiful Sonia Marx, fiance of Director William Snowe. The Dons face automatically lit up into a smug grin.

Frank cleared his throat loudly outside the building, to which Rico, his man immediately turned, and jumped to the Dons ring. He repeated the series of events as they took place from his spotting of the "beast lord" up until now when the Securitrons showed up, accompanied by the beautiful woman a few feet away.

"Why this is Sonia Marx!" Frank stepped forward, greeting her, then turning towards the woman which was accompanied by the animals. "Pleased to meet you. Nice... pets" Frank smiled his signature smile, while looking her over. Nice bod. he thought, examining her carefully. "So, you're a beast lord huh?" Frank asked, still smiling.

Turning his attention back to Sonia, he noticed that she didn't seem to be feeling very well. Dropping his smile, he ordered Rico to take her in the building, and show her to a room in which she can rest and shower, and to give her some food and clothing.

"Im on it, boss" Rico nodded.

"We'll speak later" The Don assured the woman. He didn't like ignoring one guest while attending another, but he knew Sonia better, and from the look of her face, something wasn't right. "Please, come on in Sonia" Frank ushered her in the building soberly. "You stay here, or I'll ask the Director himself to decommission you heaps of bolts" Frank hissed at the Securitrons. "Don't worry Sonia, you'll be more than safe inside." Frank confirmed, as he led her into his office on the top floor.

Once they were inside, he closed the door, and stood right infront of her. "I've been with enough women to know when somethings up" Frank said sincerely to her. "So tell me, what's up" he asked, trying to sound as soothing as possible. "You know that I would help the Directors fiance in any way I can" he reassured.

Rico Traponi

Once the Don and the lavish looking woman were inside, Rico turned back to Lyn. "You heard the man" Rico smiled, leading her into the building. Dozens of wary eyes followed them, all of them on the verge of pulling out their weapons as a live wolf and mirelurk trudged through the lobby.

"Cool it guys" Rico waved, although in vain, as everyone remained just as edgy. He led her into a small bedroom which had a tiny bathroom next to it. A plain white room with no decorations whatsoever, and a bed against the wall opposite the door. It was barely big enough to accommodate Lyn, Rico, the mirelurk and the wolf. A maid then struggled to enter the room with a tray of food which she placed on the bedside table.

"It isn't much, but it might hold until the Don is free" Rico said, looking around the room. Atleast it was clean. "Oh yeah, and the bathroom has a shower too, just incase you wanted one. Purified water ofcourse" he pointed.

The maid returned to the room holding two bowls, one with raw fish, and the other with raw meat. She placed each on the ground for the animals and left quietly, probably out of fear of being mauled by the beasts. Rico however had grown accustomed to them by now. He nodded and smiled at Lyn before ducking out of the room, leaving her to do what she wished.

OOC: Okay, Im really sorry for the long-ass post, but there was so much going on that I wanted to address! Things are getting so interesting now, I almost can't wait for the next poster to come online! :P

OOC: So has the GECK already been taken back to the base yet? If so I'll RP that my men just snuck around you. If not, I WAS planning in fighting you for the GECK, but your point about RP success was good (although I've been here from the start and had little :sadvaultboy: :cryvaultboy:).

Acting President Alan James Sutler

Sutler was sat in his chair in the command room, the scanning the hourly radio transmission transcripts, the radio operator hailed him over.

"Mr President sir, Captain Bulter of Autumn Squad has an update."

Sutler sat up and bounded towards the terminal, he accepted the telephone from the technician.

"Captain Butler, this is Acting President Sutler, you have a status update, where is Colonel Adams, over?"

"Sir, Gauss Project soldiers have to left the area, Colonel Adams and Autumn Squad are going to sweep the Vault and secure it for the extraction of the GECK and other technologies. Sigma Squad is taking positions in the Vault Entrance should this be a trap by the Gauss Project, Captain Briggs and her squad are currently laying a Plasma Mine perimeter, we're moving underground as we speak, the Colonel is leading and delegated me to radio you this update, over."

"Very good Captain Butler, very good. Tell Colonel Adams I shall be making a personal inspection of the Vault, oh and make sure the Colonel's bravado is under control, I shudder to imagine his ego after this victory. Don't let his desire for heroism and redemption put your men's lives at risk. Be seeing you Captain, over and out."

Sutler handed the reciever back to the operator, returned to his desk to collect his cap.

"XO Wilkison you have command whilst I'm absent."

"Yes sir!"

Sutler returned to his quartersm entered his bedroom and opened his wardrobe. Before the war, some people enjoyed the chance to get dressed up, put on their best dress or wear their smartest dinner jacket; for Sutler this was that time. He removed his dress uniform & his medal ribbons before taking out a the same but slightly worn dark tunic and pants; his old field uniform. He removed his tan coloured trenchcoat, it's weight felt un-comftable at first but in a few seconds he couldn't feel a thing. He pulled an old pre-war jewlery box down from a shelf. In the spaces where cufflinks and tiepins should be were his spare field medal ribbons, his actual metal medals and a pair of eagles. He replaced his dress ribbons in the box before applying his field ones to the exterior of his trenchcoat, he added the US lapel badges and almost instinctively went for the eagles before remembering his position; he was commander in chief, he had no badges.

Next came the heavier metal belt which he buckled around the coat he had removed his holster and Gauss pistol from his dress belt and added it to his new one; the pistol was his eternal companion, whether at home or in the field. At the bottom of the wardrobe, tucked away, was an ammunition box, he pulled it out and opened it; inside were four plasma grenades, a pair of binoculuos, his ripper and sheath (which had sliced the throat of NCR and Brotherhood alike) and a Wattz 1000 radio. He attached them all to his belt and the ripper sheath to his left thigh, waves of terrible nostalgia crashing over him.

He placed his holotags around his neck and tucked them beneath his tunic before replacing the box in his wardrobe and approaching the door. He was about to slide it shut before he stopped and look back at his desk, he walked back over to it and picked up a picture frame; it contained 3 sepia toned photographs, 4th July 2256 the day he met Lucy, 9th February 2261 he with Lucy in the infirary craddling baby Gordon when he was 2 hours old and finally 10th February 2276, he and Lucy with Gordon who had just finished basic training and was wearing his power armour as a Private in the US Army for the first time. This last photograph he removed, placed it in a seperate protective sheath before putting it in the inside pocket of his trench coat.

He also remembered to grab his tinted glasses from his desk before leaving.

Seeing the sun for the first time in 6 years was going to be a [censored]. he thought.

He gained surprised looks followed by almost forgoten salutes which he still returned proudly. He entered the Vertibird hanger which had finished recharging and clambered aboard it, taking his seat at the back. The engines roared to life and the old but familiar vibration as it took off made Sutler smile, Alan Sutler rides again! He thought triumphantly as the metal doors above slid open and the Vertibird punched into the air, east bound for Times Square.

OOC: @Anti. No, my friend, the GECK is not yet secured. If you want to attack the Enclave, then only Alex can stop you if he feels it’ll have a negative impact on the story. Be warned – the New Manhattan Enclave’s most elite squads are stationed at the Vault right now, and traps have been laid all over the vicinity.

@Adam – great post! :D

Despite the ‘bad’ news, Adam’s grin only widened. An opportunity to send more of those mutie [censored]ers to hell? Yeah, I’m game. He placed a reassuring hand on Scalatti’s shoulder.

“Alex, my boy, standing before you is the Enclave’s greatest warriors. We will cut through the bastards like a knife on butter. Believe me, there’s no need to fret,” Adams said. Speaking to Alex was difficult; he had to be kind, almost gentle. Truth was, he was neither – in the past, Adams had been called ‘the heartless bastard with a great heart’. His vision was glorious and with good intent, but, like his good friend Autumn, would stop at nothing to ensure the Enclave’s success.

Adams removed his hand off Alex’s shoulders and addressed his squad. “Haywood, Drake. Stand at Scalatti’s flanks; do anything you can to guarantee his safety.” He turned to the other three. “The rest, your job is easy – cover us. I don’t think this needs much explaining – kill every hostile in sight. Do what you do best: show no mercy.”

“Sir, yes, sir!”

“All right, then. Let us make a-“ Adams’s attention was stolen by Captain Butler, who was racing through the Vault corridors. “Yes, Captain, what is there to report?”

“Colonel Adams, sir, the President wishes to inspect the vault. The vertibird is soaring the skies as we speak. Might I say, Colonel, this truly is a day to remember,” said Butler. Adams could see his joy even through the thick power armour.

“Excellent work, Captain. Your orders are simple: establish a position outside the Vault and wait for the President’s arrival. You will greet him, you will be polite, and most importantly, you’ll do as he says.” Basically, everything I don’t do, Adams laughed silently to himself. “Am I clear?”

“Of course, sir.” Butler’s enthusiasm took a hit, but his salute remained strong. Adams returned one of equal strength, and turned back to Alex.

“Lead the way. We’ll be right behind you.” And for Horrigan’s sake, don’t die.

Alexander Scalatti

“Lead the way. We’ll be right behind you.”
"Alright."

Alex knew of the elevator, and that would really save time...and bullets. He led the squad to the elevator. As Alex touched some controls, nothing worked.

"Oh [censored]!" Alex slammed his fist onto the elevator door. "The elevator is down, erm, we will have to take the long way." Alex followed the signs to the stairwell.

"I suggest you lock and load." Alex reloaded his pistol, went down the stairs, and opened the door.

Almost instantly, mutants began to charge toward the door. Alex aimed his pistol, fired, and a mutie's head flew clean off.

The Vertibird was enroute to Times Square, Sutler sat quietly smoking in one of the chairs at the back. It seemed strange, this Vertibird all to himself aside from the pilot (the co-pilot remained at base today).

"Alright Mr President Sir, I'm taking us in for landing."

The Vertibird landed at the edge of the minefield perimeter and Sutler jumped out; it was a good 5 seconds before he realised his old Omicron Squad wasn't behind him so he turned meekly and slammed the door. The Vertibird slowly accended into the sky, almost taking Sutler's hat along with it.

Curious how some things stick and others don't. He pondered after catching his hat from the air.

He walked casually through the minefield, knowing that his Holotags were pinging the mines not to blow up in his face. He looked around at the ruin of Times Square, the hub of New York, New York. The once mighty advertisments decaying and threating to crush whatever was beneath them when the 200 years old mounts finally broke. The road was a mess of Highwaymans and Corvegas, public buses and taxies; the doors of which (those which had not fallen off) creaked and swung in the breeze, all ominously wide open.

Before Sutler was a U.S. Army recruitment center, mines still on the floor he walked through the dusty rooms to the Vault Entrance, the door was wide open and the trail of mines stopped, Sigma had taken positions behind army barricades.

"Sigma Squad, Captian Butler." He gave a strong salute. "I assume Captain Butler that you will escort me to the good Colonel?"

OOC: I'll approximate that there are about 10 of you Enclave guys, unless that's a big ass Vertibird. This will be turned into a post in the next HOUR. Give me time, I came back from a long day.

EDIT: Done.

Evander Jamison

They had been waiting patiently, watching as the Enclave men talked amongst each other. Evander was now sweaty in the hands, and thankful for his gauntlets. in his hand sat his AER9 Laser Rifle, and Issac was patiently awaiting his initiation. The thing was, Evander wasn't ready. He knew not only were the Enclave's armor superior, but also their training, and even though he had more men, they had better weapons, and landmines scattered throughout the plaza. Even if Evander was good and ready to attack, there was no way to get through the mines with Armor like his, they were probably rigged to blow once Brotherhood were detected.

"What are you thinking?" Max said.

"I don't know. As of now two officers are talking to each other, and they seem to be getting ready to head in. We cant move until they;re gone though, so forget flanking. The only thing I can think of is blow the landmines from afar." Evander said.

Max nodded, and relayed the new tactic to the other men while Evander watched anxiously as the Enclave men receded underground. Off in the distance, he saw a small speck against the blazing sun, and he heard the rotors. More were coming. They need to regroup at this point, so Evander gestured for a regroup.

By the time they had met up, the final, and post visually prestigious officer exited the Vertibird and headed underground, metals and badges glinting in the sunlight. It was their time now, so they fired at the mines, causing a large scale explosion, luckily missing the now exiting Vertibirds.
"MOVE!" Evander yelled. Things were about to get hectic.

Lyn Grave

"Pleased to meet you. Nice... pets" Frank smiled his signature smile, while looking her over. "So, you're a beast lord huh?" Frank asked, still smiling.

"They're not 'pets'" Lyn retorted. "And yes, I am a beast lord."

Lyn watched as the Don turned his attention to the other woman. She let out a small sigh. This man is very important, I should have expected this.

"We'll speak later" The Don assured the woman.

Lyn nodded

"You heard the man" Rico said after recieving orders to show her to a room.

Lyn obidiently followed Rico to her temporary room. She was aware that the people in the building were giving her weird looks. She ignored it, and instead focused on keeping the animals in line.

Rico led her into a small bedroom which had a tiny bathroom next to it.

Lyn took the food the maid placed on the table and ate it. She was starving, and it didn't quite fill her up, so she took one chunk of the raw meat for herself, and left the rest of the meat for the wolves to split. The mirelurk dug into the fish on it's own. Lyn sighed, then shrugged and bit into the raw meat. They finished their respective meals, being as neat as possible. The wolves then jumped onto the bed and laid down, and the mirelurk sat on the edge of the bed. Lyn stepped into the bathroom, closed the door, then proceeded to shrug off her clothes. She turned on the water to the shower, and just stood there as the water ran over her, helping her relax. After a bit, she went to work getting herself cleaned up, paying special attention to the blood that had gotten on her face, from the raw meat. After she felt she was clean enough, she stepped out of the shower, leaving it running. She put her clothes back on without drying herself off, then opened the door to the bathroom. The mirlurk stepped in and took a place in the shower. Lyn smiled at the mirelurk. That should keep him happy. She then sat down on the edge of the bed, and laid back, relaxing and waiting for her meeting.

OOC: WOW!! Too fast. I was out with a couple friends and watched Tron Legacy. WAY too fast.

Sonia Marx

Sonia looked at the Securitron bark orders to the woman before a one of the mafia soldiers told the Securitron to shut up. She silently smiled for the first time since she got out of the bunker. Then Don Frank came in and said a couple things to the girl and then he turned his attention to Sonia. "Please, come on in Sonia" Frank ushered her in the building soberly. "You stay here, or I'll ask the Director himself to decommission you heaps of bolts" Frank hissed at the Securitrons. "Don't worry Sonia, you'll be more than safe inside."

She smiled. "Thank you Don Frank..." Sonia followed the Don upstairs. Once they were inside, he closed the door, and stood right in front of her. "I've been with enough women to know when somethings up" Frank said sincerely to her. "So tell me, what's up" he asked, trying to sound as soothing as possible. "You know that I would help the Directors fiance in any way I can" he reassured.

Sonia drummed her fingers on her palm before she started to tear up. "That...that's what I wanted to talk to you about. William's broken..." She started to sob quietly before gaining control again.
"We lost the GECK in Vault 109 to the Enclave. After that...my dear fiance is a broken man. For all we know...he could be planning to end the Enclave and the Federation. We both know that will fail...but after that loss and the stress of the countless battles before..."
Sonia started to shiver and sat on an ornate chair. "I just need to stay. Your mafia has become like a second family to us...so could I stay here for maybe a day or two? I don't want to be a burden."
