Rules:

1. Keep Things Civil: I have seen many threads locked because of uncivility. Keep things clean and don't insult other people.

2. Post Length: I don't really care about the length of a post, but make it longer than just a sentence ok?

3. How Much You Should Post: If you are a main character or want to be one, post at least twice a day (this is not a binding rule.) If you are a side character, post at least once every two days or so. All I really want you to do is to make sure you are on top of whats going on. This RP is quick, and just missing a day can mean that you missed some key plot points.

4. NO UBERING: This is major. Don't play a god character. If you get shot in the arm, don't just pop a stimpack. My health rules are modeled after hard-core mode.

5. Don't Do A Major Plot Change Without Other's Approval: Don't nuke a town to the ground unless you have approval.

Locations:

EMPIRE WASTELAND:

New Manhattan: a walled town located on what was Central Park. The town is a thriving town with about 1500 people within its walls. The town is heavily sought after by several groups and is in the middle of a huge power struggle. Where will you fit in?

New York City is dark and depressing. Manhattan was full of tall buildings and still is. Sunlight rarely penetrates unto the streets below. Mutants are everywhere. The only safe place in Manhattan is the city of New Manhattan.

The city itself: (The year is 2283). The mayor is dead and the mayorship is being contested.

Central Square: The area where people come to talk about the day. Many shops and bars are located here.

North Wall: The area at the North of Town. It is heavily guarded as mutants attempt to break down the walls every day. Beyond the walls is darkness and death. Mostly a resedential area.

Evergreen: The area of town where casinos and bars are. The mafia hangs out here. The casinos are: CAPone (run by me) Yellowlight Poker and Snacks, and RADIATION.

Reuters: The main industrial area. This is where all the manufacturing happens.

Reuters Way: The only road in and out of town. It is heavily walled and leads to the Brookyln Bridge. A small port is located where the bridge once stood.

The Empire Wasteland:

Liberty Lost: A slaver camp located where the Statue of Liberty is. This is a HUGE slaver operation. The slavers are led by Fred Gandoe. They want control of New Manhattan.

New Rabition (Rabithead.): A Lake Federation city. The Lake Federation launches raids on New Manhattan from here.

Autumn's Leaves: A SMALL enclave camp. About 50 soldiers who survived are stationed here. A friend of Augustus Autumn leads this small group. They do not belive in mutant extermination and are hiring anybody in their ranks.

Ghoul High: A small ghoul town located on the ruins of Queens High School in Queens. Home to about 126 Ghouls. They make their money by scauaging and trade. They are seeking to be controlled by New Manhattan.

Vault 109: A deserted vault. Home to many wasteland critters. Said to contain a huge supply of fresh water and food. Some even claim a GECK is located there.

Vault 110: A vault that is still inhabited. The experiment was never enacted due to complications. Home to about 1200 People. Raiders want to attack and take it over.

Popgoestheweasel: A raider camp. Almost everyone wants it destroyed. The raiders launch attacks on almost every settlement. Located North of Manhattan.

Radioville: A medium sized town located in a walled compund in South Manhattan. A pre-war radio tower is located here. This town is where "Empire Radio is broadcasted from. The mayor is Renald Paulson. who is also the DJ for the radio station.

Charlie and Sons Chemicals: Where the mutants from DC make their base. They are looking for the FEV virus. Located in Union City.

Camp Android: A huge camp led by the insitute. They want control of New Manhattan.

BEYOND THE EMPIRE WASTELAND:

The Lake Federation: A large federation of towns that makes it money by fishing and by water caravans. They are located in Michigan and parts of Canada.

Laketon: The capital of the Lake Federation, located on the ruins of Lansing Michigan.

Ronto: A former raider/slaver fortress that was captured by Lake Federation Soldiers.

General Motors Factory: Where the Tesla Lamp is located.

Steve Jenkins

Steve thanked the woman as he accepted her healing powder, still glancing wearily at the Mirelurk.

"You say this 'lurk isn't a threat? Is he your pet or something? I've been attacked by enough of them to know that they're usually not this friendly. I've never seen someone who can tame them like this? How'd you learn how?"

Lyn Grave

"You say this 'lurk isn't a threat? Is he your pet or something? I've been attacked by enough of them to know that they're usually not this friendly. I've never seen someone who can tame them like this? How'd you learn how?"

"He's not my pet, and neither are the wolves. The three are wild as can be. But if it makes you feel any better, they are as good as tame." Lyn stated with a chuckle as she put her arm around the mirelurk's 'shoulders'.

"As to how I do it, I was born with the ability. This ability was caused by my family being exposed to a certain radiation that caused a mutation. This mutation allowed us to control animals with telepathic suggestion. To tell you the truth, it's the only thing I enjoyed about my family...but that is another story." Lyn then let the mirelurk go.

"Now, this mirelurk was going to introduce me to his family. You're welcome to tag along, and I promise they won't harm you."

William Snowe

William watched as the APC and the large battalion of soldiers came to a halt in a small mountain/hill. He saw from his safe and comfortable carrier as the soldiers went into breaching position directly at the wooden door of Vault 109. Then, the door exploded, sending pieces of wayward wood everywhere. The mass of Securitrons and soldiers all piled up near the door.

William headed down to the massive steel door and smiled. "Do you have the Reaper ready?"
"Yes sir! We've planted it and will blow open the door at your command."
"Get all our men to a safe distance and blow it."
"Yes sir!" The lieutenant turned to his platoon. "You heard the Director, get out of here now!"
The mass of soldiers again moved out of the recently breached Vault entrance except for a lone Securitron. The Securitron pressed a few buttons and in a second, an explosion rivaling the force of a massive bomb detonated five times, shaking many of the soldiers off of their feet.

William fell down and when he got back up, the entire Vault door was mostly stable with huge burnt spots on the door where the massive Reaper bomb was detonated. "[censored]! Make a base camp in front of the Vault and wait for Alex Scalatti and the Enclave to arrive."

OOC: Yeah but the Enclave has the power to rip open Vault doors using high explosives. After all, direct doesn't mean tactically placed. So why not a Robco originating superpower able to also blow open a Vault door?

OOC: Ant1iv3, I post way more than you do, so finish up your story with me in the next few posts and have your character do something which would take a while. Because our conversation has been left in the dust as a result of our new blood RP'ers. :P

Just to recap, Evander told Frank to get up and pick up his shotgun because of some emergency. They are both in Franks office in the New Manhattan Mafia building.

I might just have to leave this thing guys, although I hope not. Im struggling to keep my grades up, my mom said I cant even be on here so I can only post when I'm in the only class in school with a proxy or at home when mother isn't looking, my brother started throwing up last night about the time when I sent my last OOC, then my mom left to go to the store and find medicine, leaving me with him so I couldn't read or post, then I have to go to bed every night at 10:00 which svcks. I am also apart of this prestigious committee for the betterment of my city, which means that this saturday I'm busy as well. I'm trying my hardest to juggle all of this stuff on top of girls that I can't muster the strength to tell off. I'll try as hard as I can to catch up and post with Holy, and if this stuff calms down later, maybe I can post (after I finish my football game which will only make me tireder).

I don't know how you guys reacted to me asking you guys to wait because I haven't read anything from this thread yet but I hope you guys can hole out till the end of my period in like thirty minutes.

OOC: DarkZeker, I strongly recommend you change your last post. You don't simply blow vault doors open. It also overpowers your faction, and takes away from any possible story opportunities and conflicts. We captured Alex for a reason, y'know....

I guess Alex has the final say, though (but I distinctly remember him saying we need a specific pass code). Anyway, I'll post in a bit.

The Vertibird aproached the Bunker, the surface door slid open and the Vertibird slowly began to land, once the roaring hum of the engines stopped, Sigma Leader pushed Alex towards the door of the vertibird, he lent past Alex, opened the door and lowered Alex through the doorway onto the ground, he, Sigma Squad and the pilots one-by-one exited the bird as a trio of technicians ran up and began refueling the bird for the next mission, the pilots had a drink of cooling water and stood-by for orders from Colonel Adams.

Sigma Squad went on leave but it was Leader's duty to bring Alex to the President, he repeatedly pushed Alex down the corridors and halls of the bunker though the flurecent blue light didn't pierce the dark veil over his eye's. Eventually they reached the Presidents Office/Quarters. Alex was fastened to a chair and the hood was finally removed, in-front of him sat behind a shiny metal desk, casually smoking a cigarette and pouring himself a whiskey was the slightly un-expected figure of President Sutler, he was by no means a towering giant like his men, but an old man in his early 60's, his silver hair slicked back, he wore glasses and had a thin, neatly trimmed moustache; three rows of medal ribbons and a scar down his cheek served as his accolades. Sutler got to his feet and turned off his jukebox.

"It's Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Mr... what my I call you for the rest of our conversation?"

OOC: I was planning that the vault was locked and only opened by a passcode known by me. By the way, the vault is overrun by mutants. Thats why I had to escape with Ann :D

Alexander Scalatti

The enclave soldiers woke Alex up and dragged him somewhere. The next thing Alex knew, he was sat down and the bag was taken off his head. In front of him was a well dressed person.

"It's Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Mr... what my I call you for the rest of our conversation?"

Alex took his fedora out of the bag and put it on. "Well, this is nice music..erm Beethhoven? I heard him once in the vault." Alex cleared hit throat. "Call me Mr. Scalatti, or if you're casual, call me Alex. I don't really mind. By the way..where am I?"

OOC: Darn..again? I spelled it wrong again? Lol :D

The villagers began to swarm, pushing and shoving each other to get the best view. Adams couldn’t blame them; the Enclave’s presence added some light to their otherwise dark, depressing lives. He addressed the bearded man guarding the game.

“On behalf of President Sutler of the United States government, I order you to open the gate.” The colonel’s tone was stern and cold; there was no time to piss around. Still shaking, the guard complied immediately.

Adams covered his ears as the huge corrugated-iron doors screeched open. The gates to destiny had opened.

“Squad, assemble the portable field structures. Go, go, go!” Adams barked, his face turning red. He could make out the yellow monsters on the horizon, lumbering towards North Wall. Their screams echoed throughout New Manhattan, serving as a cue for the villagers to scatter wildly; they hid behind houses, boxes and even themselves.

The mutants’ pace began to speed up; Adams could smell their breath as they charged.

“Haywood, throw some mines down by the gate. Move! And you, Drake, get your ass in that guard tower and cover us from above.” Adams exhaled. “The rest of you, stand your ground and tear the bastards apart!” He grabbed Captain Butler and pulled him close, “And cover me, dammit! If I die you’re all [censored].”

They were getting closer

“All right, men, on my mark. Three, two, one. Fire!”

The minguns span as the front line of mutants blew themselves apart. The second row stampeded into their death, the Enclave’s firepower shredding them to pieces.

Adams did little; he spent the majority of the battle taking cover behind the portable barriers, popping out every so often to melt the odd mutant – the enemy line was broken, so not an achievement warranting much credence. Still, the colonel didn’t care; this fight was not about him, it was about the Enclave.

The creatures feared by so many for so long served as little more than target practice today. They just kept rushing and rushing, getting vaporised one by one. A few larger mutants carrying assault rifles gave a more credible effort, but Drake picked them off soon enough.

The scene got progressively quitter until just a few mutants remained, holding on desperately before retreating to their lairs, wailing as they were shot from behind. Their weak cries almost showed the human left within them. Well, not to Adams; they were nothing but feral beasts to him, worthy of extermination.

Villagers crept tentatively from their hiding places as the gates slammed shut. Several bodies lay lifeless on the town’s muddy ground, undoubtedly hit by stray bullets. No one cared.

A brief silence filled North Wall before the townsfolk erupted in cheer. The people throw their hands up in celebration, and hugged each other in elation. A large grin broke out across their saviour’s face. He quickly turned to Captain Butler.

“Radio HQ and request the vertibird. You think I wanna stand here in this [censored]hole all day? Get on it!”

“Sir, yes, sir!” Butler replied enthusiastically.

Adams stood on the supply crate, puffed his barrel chest, put his hands by his side, and addressed the town.

“People of North Wall! Do you hunger for peace, order and prosperity?”

“Yes!” the crowed roared.

“Do you lust for strength?”

“Yes!”

“Do you desire for wealth!”

“Yes!”

“Good people, today you have witnessed a mere fragment of the Enclave’s might. But we will not stop here. Oh, no, my friends, this is just the beginning. You will serve as the fuel in the Enclave’s furnace of power. With your support, this city will rise – America will live again!” The town exploded in yet another fit of cheer.

“But do not just ask what America can do you for you; ask what you can do for America. Peace, order, prosperity, strength, wealth – with hard work, all will be in your hands!” The crowd continued their deafening applause.

Noticing the vertibird in the distance, Adams hurried the speech up; the stench was killing him, and his boots were collecting dirt.

“Below me is a box of supplies – a gift from the Enclave to you; a sign of our good will. Your efforts have merited no less.” The vertibird had arrived, it was beginning to land. Thank Christ. “It’s time for us to part now, but do not be sad, for the Enclave remains with you, in your hearts.”

Adams stepped down from the crate. He left the townsfolk to ration the supplies by themselves; he cared for their support, not their well-being.

The colonel and his squad strode through the crowd, receiving salutes and pats on the back before they finally climbed aboard the vertibird.

Jack waved North Wall farewell as the bird took to the skies, eventually closing the door. He slumped lazily in his chair, rubbing his tired eyes, and let out a long sigh, before Butler interrupted his relaxation.

“Sir, I’ve received word from HQ that the package’s been secured. If I may say so, this truly has been a glorious day.”

Adams chuckled. “Excellent. With Scalatti in our hands, New Manhattan is ripe for the taking.” The colonel lowered his voice. Butler, today you have proved a true American. Stay strong, Captain, and you’ll be rewarded with greatness.”

“It’s just an honour to serve, sir,” Butler replied. Adams simply winked, hoping his subordinate would just take a damn seat. Much to the colonel’s pleasure, he did.

Jack’s eyes forced themselves shut. Wait to the president hears about this.

OOC: Hope it’s okay that I took control of the bird, but I saw little point in waiting until another post before returning. And apologies for the rather lacklustre battle, but combat isn’t my forte in writing.

Sutler smiled.

"Mr Scalitti may I say you seem rather pleasant dispite the questionable circumstances of your arrival, regardless, you are in a United States Government Bunker, one which was designed to serve as a local base of operations for the Enclave after the Great War; it's geographic location is strictly classified and that bag will be over your head before you leave this room you will of course also be sedated for other security reasons."

Sutler took a drag on his cigarette.

"You are here for one thing and one thing only, it concerns your heritage, you came from a Vault, presumably Vault 109. I want to know the conditions you left under so I know what to expect, I want to know if any other Vault Dwellers escaped and if you know of their locations, I want to know the access code to the Vault door as we don't have record of it here."

Sutler opened his desk draw and pulled out an old map, he un-folded it, placed it his desk and span it around to face Alex.

"I want you to point out it's geographic location and finally whether or not your Vault was supplied with a Garden of Eden Creation Kit."

OOC:
"If I die you’re all [censored].”

OOC: Heh heh, by that Adams meant the Enclave, in general. It was there just so I could convey his arrogance -- he believes his role is instrumental for out organisation's success.

Still, I can see why you took it how you did. :P

"Yes, I am from vault 109, its a very long story so I will sum it down a bit." Alex took a very deep breath. "My vault was designed to test out the caste system. You were stuck with whatever job your ancestors had, in my case, a mechanic. This caused tension of course, and eventually some idiot decided to blow a hole in the vault's walls."

Alex took another breath. "The mutants..they just poured in. Noone could stop them. My mother and father were torn to shreds before my own eyes. Before my dad died, he gave me a gun and ammo. As I was escaping, one of my friends, now my wife, Ann, was being attacked. I killed the mutants and we escaped through the front door. Before we left, we did not want anyone to know what happened there, so we shut the vault door and locked it with a passcode. The hole that the mutants came in through is too heavily radiated to go through. The only ones that I know survived are my wife and I"

"I want you to point out it's geographic location and finally whether or not your Vault was supplied with a Garden of Eden Creation Kit."

Alex took out a sharpie and circled Times Square. "Its right under Times Square, and yes, the vault has a GECK in it."
