OOC: Don't know what you have in mind old sport but I see http://www.2kgames.com/cultofrapture/features/wallpapers/1959_2560x1600.jpg image, Rapture is the most beautiful setting ever...

Sutler, freshly showered and tunic impecible, descented the stairs into the ballroom, around the glittering room he saw all the wastelanders dressed as humans, it made Sutler feel... unusual; scattered amongst them were enclaves' of Enclave troopers who contrasted to the vidid, flowing ball gowns and simply elegant tuxs in their dark uniforms, often peppered with shining medals and insignia, they stuck together in little groups of three or fours and watched everyone. Sutler hadn't expected much else, he for one still did his best to keep the traditional Enclave values going and it was just second nature to most, they watched the others darkly, and clustered close sipping their drinks; really that was all Sutler wanted, for his people to unwind and relax a bit, this pre-war glory must have been unsettling to them, it had been in nothing but old pictures for centuries, even the 4th of July parties had all taken place in the usual dark metal rooms of bunkers lit by fluorecent lights, to the Enclave though, that was home. Interaction was rare and consisted only of occasional apologies when two people bumped into each other or requests to pass the ice bucket or glasses, it's not like anyone in the Enclave really cared about the lives of these peopel whom they had always been brought up to loathe, after DC spirits of hate ran high, even such pleastries about the weather and such were out of bounds because the Enclave rarely ventured outside without reason, then again, with Sutler new project they would be.

Whilst he hoped his men had a good time, Sutler was, of course, all business; he wasn't in things for the pleasure anymore. He looked for Miuex to finalise their deal.

OOC: Are you sure? I don't want this RP to turn into a Michael Bay movie again :D
About all those censored tags toward the end...sorry bout' that, Alex is just really angry :)

Alexander Scalatti

Alex was caught in the blast. He flew back around six feet and hit a brick wall. Alex staggered back up, but realized he broke something. Oh [censored]!

Alex surveyed the area. People were running everywhere, and many people were dead. About 100 LF soldiers were gunning down and up some GP spies that were running toward Lake Force-1. Through the rubble, Alex noticed a body, it was still moving. John?

Alex limped over, and saw John Fairfield on the ground moaning and groaning. "John, where are you injured?"

"A..le..x?"

"Yes, its me." Alex faced down the road. "MEDIC!!!!"

"I'm, um, well, I stabbed and I was hit by the shrapne....." John coughed up some blood and a chunk of shrapnel.

"You'll be alright, trust me." Several LF medics rushed out of the embassy, and put John on a stretcher.

Alex followed the stretcher until it reached the gate. As soon as the gate shut, Alex stormed his way into the capital building. He slammed his office door shut, grabbed a picture of William, and ripped it in half.

"[censored] those Project [censored]heads! [censored] them!! [censored] them!! [censored] [censored] [censored]!!!!" Alex overturned his chair.

"ALEX!! CALM DOWN!!" Vlad ran inside.

Alex punched the wall, a hole the size of his fist was left behind. "I give those project [censored]heads food and this is how they repay me!!!!! ARRRG!!" Alex then fell over on his foot.

"Did you break something?"

"Yeah, my foot I believe, [censored] those Project goons."

Vlad ran into the storage room. He came back with a cast. "Just cancel all shipments."

"They will [censored] invade!! You don't understand!! I don't want a [censored] war!!!"

"Well, um, you should head down to New Manhattan and inform everyone of what happened."

Alex took a very deep breath. "Fine, and i'll bring a LF ambassador."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alex adjusted his fedora as he entered Lake Force One. "Buckle in this will be hell." The pilot said through the intercom. Several well armed men in re-enforced combat armor were sitting in the vertibird. There was also 6 men in TB-51D power armor.

"Alright, lets show William that what he did was the biggest mistake of his life." Alex lit a cigar as the verti-bird began to take off.

The pilot turned around. "Oh yeah, there was an attempted coup in Detroit, but it failed once the people found out that John was still alive."

Alex smiled. "I hope that William gets the news."

OOC: This will be written in a play style format.

Empire News Radio

Chuck: "Hello everyone! I'm Chuck Walker! Welcome to the "Empire Show!" Where experts will discuss and debate current events! Here is our panel,

1. Roy Killigan, trader, outcast. He was kicked out of Junktown a ways back for crimes.

2. Fawkes! He is a guest speaker, hailing from the capital wasteland. He is also an intelligent mutant.

3. Lilly Brown. A no-nonsense woman with a knack for catching lies!

4. And me, Chuck Walker.

Alright, this recent attack by the Gauss Project, it was malice, evil, and just downright stupid, what do you make of it Roy?"

Roy: "Well, William was really stupid here. He had everything in the bag, food, armies, you name it. But in his stupidity, he attacked the Lake Federation, who even said that there was a ceasefire. Now, he will cause a ton of instability in the region."

Lilly: "I disagree. William has the upper-hand. The Lake Federation, which is weak, is now easily exploitable. William can gain territory."

Chuck: "Nope, he is a dirty commie scum, [censored] him man. He'll fail."

Fawkes: "Well, War is bad, war never changes. We can only hope that this does not escalate. William was WRONG in attacking John Fairfield, since well they were in a ceasefire."

Lilly: "But the Federation is evil, they svck. Have you seen their cities? Their are some areas that are slummy!"

Roy: "Same here in New Manhattan, now, once the war reaches a head, all of the food will be gone. Everyone will starve."

Chuck: "And you have to point out, William did this crime in Bridgeport. This is a clear violation of the treaty. Bridgeport is now able to cancel all food shipments."

Lilly: "Well, uh."

Fawkes: "Exactly, lets hope that the Federation does not press the attack."

Chuck. "Well, we are all out of time now, thanks for listening! More classics coming right up! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJE-onnw2gM

OOC: Will be a very long post. Just for the sake of all this stuff.
Gauss Project HQ

"Sir...food shipments will stop."

The HQ Director laughed. "I've calculated the numbers. Here are the statistics so far. Chance of a rebellion in New Manhattan...0.02%. Chance of the Federation attacking? 67%. Chance of them beating us? 0.001%. There is no way they can penetrate our defenses. Of course we can't counter attack but they'd have to waste all their forces just to get INTO the Manhattan island...courtesy of the mutants."

"What about the Empire News?"

"All radios the civilians and soldiers have are tuned to ONLY GP approved news. The Empire News Radio is not a GP approved radio station. Control the information the people have...and we change their world views."

Director William Snowe

"What happened?!" William yelled to the spies, who were safely back at the bunker.
All of them shuddered and the head of the spies spoke up. "Sir...Mieux was one step ahead. We can infiltrate again...poison the IV bags..." He shut up very quickly, scared for his life.

William gave a harsh glare before warming up. "This is a family...your group was my brainchild. I can forgive...but this is your last chance. Poison the IV bags and you'll be given rewards beyond your wildest dreams."

The NSU left and the financial manager walked in. "Sir...imports from Bridgeport are going to be gone...what a laugh. We still have Arcadia and after diverting resources to the farms instead of Securitron maintenance, we're growing many more crops. Crop surplus is projected to drop about...13%. That would leave us at a 7% surplus. Good enough as of right now."

"And?" William asked. The Financial Manager looked at his PDA. "Uh...if we were to have a war with the Federation, surplus would only be 4%. Barely enough to sustain a growing population. But popularity with the civilians would shoot up. Every single one of them hates the Federation according to the polls. Sir...I really recommend putting Mistress Snowe on council. Ever since she got out of the hospital, food and the industries showed a HUGE growth..."

William nodded. He knew. Sonia was the voice of kindness to him and to the workers of New Manhattan. She kept the workers in line and no amount of whipping, death punishments, or punishment of being a scavenger in the North could keep them in line better than her. Although William was the figurehead and mastermind, Sonia was the person that showed everybody "There's still morality and good in the council."

OOC@ James- Actually thats an idea of it, I have a love for Art Deco, and Bioshocks settings strongly show Art Deco architecture, so it can give good impressions of what the hotel and its ballroom look like.

Mieux stood on a balcony looking over the ballroom he noticed Sutler below and was about to go down and see him, until his right hand Jack, wearing a Black tuxedo with a handkerchief with a gold M embroidered on it, came over and put his hand on Mieuxs shoulder and whispered in his ear, "Mr. Mieux, we have a situation." Mieux said in an aloft tone, "Hm? Enlighten me." Jack gave a reproachful tone, "Well sir, it appears that Mr. Scalatti is heading this way towards New Manhattan...by vertibird." Mieux, in a rare break in character, his face erupted in a look of horror and anger. "I'll take care of it." He said in a forced tone of calm. But his stride spoke another tale, he walked quickly out of the ballroom and back to his penthouse.

In a calm voice, he radioed the vertibird and sighed, "Scalatti, what on earth are you doing? I've been informed of the events in Bridgeport, and I have to ask, did the attacker ever claim to be from Gauss Project? You might me going to war because a rogue came and blew himself up. Are you sure you want to go down this road? For all we know, he was a disgruntled Gauss Project citizen."

Alexander Scalatti

As Alex was slouching in his chair, he felt a tap from behind. Alex jumped and turned around. Behind him was John Fairfield, with a cast covering his chest and part of his back.

"What are you doing here??" Alex asked as he adjusted his fedora from the jump.

John smiled and then coughed weakly. "I want to meet that idiot face to face, mano-i-mano." John coughed up some blood, a medic came over and wiped it all up. "I know, i'm not fit enough right now to do this, but, I need to do this."

"I admire your strength John, but I wonder if this is the best idea." As he said that, his pip-boy began to vibrate. It was a feature that Alex hacked into it. Alex turned the knobs to see who was calling. Justin? Alex received the call.

"Scalatti, what on earth are you doing? I've been informed of the events in Bridgeport, and I have to ask, did the attacker ever claim to be from Gauss Project? You might me going to war because a rogue came and blew himself up. Are you sure you want to go down this road? For all we know, he was a disgruntled Gauss Project citizen."

Alex took a breath. "That [censored] hired that idiot to bomb Bridgeport. I know for a fact. William hates the LF, and would do ANYTHING to take it over. I'm not going to war, I just want to have a very serious chat with that idiot. I will cancel all food shipments as that was a direct violation of treaty."

Mieux was a little nervous inside, if this little plot of his ends up starting a war in New Manhattan, trouble will spread for miles, and Arcadia is not an exception. "Very, well, but we have no proof, and he's likely to cast off the blame, or at the very least, he will blame it on someone else." Mieux grew very stern, "If you cut off supplies, he may go to war with you. Nonetheless, I strongly advise you to control your temper. I dont need to have people flocking at my gates for help. If you start fighting with Gauss Project, I'm shutting down my supply line to Manhattan, I wont risk my caravans for something I want no part in." Mieux raised his eyebrow, usually when his aloft attitude came out, "Suffice it to say, if refugees clamor at my gates, I can't feed them. That said, I honestly don't care what you decide to do to him, just leave me out of it."

Mieux couldn't help but grin and think inside his head. "If Scalatti wages war, he may likely win, routing Gauss out of New Manhattan, leaving my city the shining gem of Old New York. Or course, he MAY need my backing, but, in the end, I'll appear the third party. Alex will achieve power, and Gauss is toppled from power, all the while, I maintain it all, casinos, hotels, shops. I will rebuild New York before I die." He looked out a window at his small empire, if New Manhattan were to fall, and Scalatti didnt take it, he'd annex it, furthering New York into an image of pre-war glory.

Director William Snowe

William watched the radar system. It lazily picked up very little activity in the Bridgeport area and V-L 1-3, the SR71 of the GP went far up in the sky for a camera view. It again, showed nothing other than a small fire. He paced around, thinking about what to do about Alex's army. After the Securitrons went into shut down as electricity was transfered to the other parts of the empire, William was grossly outnumbered.

Sonia put a gentle hand on William's arm. "Don't worry...do you want me to talk to them?"
The voice of kindness...
"Yes...thank you," William said, smiling.

Sonia radioed Alex. "Alex, please stop this. We didn't authorize the bombing, he was rogue! Mieux authorized the bombings. If you don't believe us, then don't but just think about the lives you're destroying...a war with New Manhattan at this point would have no point. Just call it off."

Mieux, was flush with internal delight, Mieux interupted the radio transmissions, "Come now Scalatti, who would have everything to lose by letting the Lake Federations president leave? Certiantly not I, I have no intereaction with Lake Federation, think about who has everything to win by killing their president." Mieux said, his usual tone of intelligent observation and charm, "Mr. Scalatti, if anything happens, you have it on my assurance I wont defend Manhattan." Mieux hoped this would be just the spark needed to light a fire over New Manhattan.

Alex was about to reply, but John grabbed Alex's arm.

"You [censored] [censored]heads GP [censored]s! Go to hell! Die [censored]ers! I will burn your [censored] pathetic commie paradise to the ground!!! DIE [censored]S!!!"

Alex took control of his arm. "What John meant to say that he is pissed off at you and won't back down. You did this, and I know for a fact." Alex hung up the phone line.

"John, tell your troops to siege the city, and burn all of the outlying farms."
"Arn't the farms inside the city?"
"Nope, all outside." Alex said with a grin.
"I won't attack. I will order the farm burnings so that William will be forced to end this nonsense."

General Horatio "Papa" Hans

"Sir, we have an order from Fairfield himself, he wants squads Alpha, Omega, Delta, and Romeo to begin burning all outlying farms to put pressure on William."

Horatio smiled. "That's what I do best, put Sergeant Fredrick on the line."

Sergeant Fredrick

"Take no prisoners."

Several GP supporters were lined up on an old pre-war wall about 10 Miles outside of New Manhattan.

"Fire." The soldiers let loose their guns. The bodies fell over limp. Fredrick smiled as he motioned for his men to come close.

"Thats 50 commies so far, I want all of the heads decapitated and sent to Forward Command outpost Bravo Charlie Wilma." Fredrick said as he lit a cigar.

Suddenly, the radio man ran over. "Sergeant, you have a call from General Hans."
"Give me that!"

Fredrick pulled the phone from the bulky radio. "Yes General?"

"I have a mission for you. I know that you have been killing GP supporters, but I want you to now move toward NM."

Fredrick was puzzled. "Why sir?

"I knew you would ask that, I want you to burn every farm you see. Don't kill or hurt anyone unless they fire first. I want to put pressure on William."

"Yes sir." Fredrick hung up the line. Fredrick turned to his men. "We have a new mission now, we need to burn every farm we come across, no exceptions."

THIRTY MINUTES LATER.

A widow and two kids were crying near a tree as Fredrick and his men were burning their sixth farm.

"Yeehaw!! Take that you commie son-of-a-[censored]es!!" A soldier yelled in delight as he was using his flame thrower to burn the farm. "Death to the GP!"

Fredrick was tying and killing more GP supporters. He shot them all once in the head. "How does it feel now to be tied up and be shot in the head huh?"

The radio man ran over. "Sir, other squads have also burned farms. We are now tasked with meeting up with Easy Company and Papa company near Reuters Way. We need to begin a siege."

"Alright."

Alexander Scalatti

Lake Force one was nearing New Manhattan. Alex noticed several fire plumes. "Are those the farms?"

Fairfield began to laugh. "Yup! Put William on the phone."

Alex turned on his pip-boy and called William's number. "William, the Lake Federation is not pleased. They have already burned many farms in Jersey and will keep doing so until you sign a ceasefire."

OOC: I'll be introducing underground food farms as a way to keep New Manhattan from starving yet dropping the food production well below intended surplus. It's like the farms that Vault Tek had.
Director William Snowe

Sonia hugged William hard as the Lake Federation soldiers advanced. His elite units were stationed only in the city since 70% of the farms were stationed in Jersey. The remaining 30%, which would drop the food production to stagnation, was stationed inside the bunker as a means of growing crops.

At least I transferred the power to the underground food farms.

William watched as the farms of Jersey burned. He was situated on the highest point in New Manhattan other than the Empire Estate. As he watched the farms burn and the flames whip around the plains, William felt a burning hatred he thought he quelled. To Alex, to the Federation, and to everything around his reach. It was time.

Nova Spy Unit

The NSU disguised themselves as different soldiers and proceeded. Again, they were undetected as their faces were covered by balaclavas and the metal helmet. As the unit closed in on the attacking Federation troops, they quickly removed a couple troopers, ready for the main unit to attack. It was time for the monsters of New Manhattan.

Lamina Unit

When Mieux gave the T45d power armor to the Gauss Project. he awakened a dormant beast. Although schematics existed for modified shock resistant T51b power armor in the GP base, they were missing the power source to the armor. With the T45d power source, the suits were created. Only problem was there were only 10 suits ever made by the GP, all used on one unit.

The Lamina unit, or as the other soldiers called them, the Monsters of New Manhattan, walked across the open fields of New Jersey, each in an orderly file, every single one carrying a minigun or Gatling laser. They made up for bad agility with the fact that they were practically walking tanks, what power armor intended.

The unit saw the advancing Lake Federation army. Lamina 1 called out through a filtered voice. "Try taking on somebody who fights back...or better yet, maims you!"

They fired upon the advancing Federation platoon while the spies behind took potshots from far away at a safe distance. It would be a matter of time until the main force of the army gets here.

Director William Snowe

The Lamina unit was sent. Aside from the Snowe Personal Guard, they were the best fighters in the Gauss Project. Instead of Chimera Tanks, which were mostly destroyed in the siege on the Lake Federation, they were the replacement.

"William, the Lake Federation is not pleased. They have already burned many farms in Jersey and will keep doing so until you sign a ceasefire."

William smiled. They didn't want to fight. No...they couldn't fight. Jersey was undefended but New Manhattan was a totally different story. Rocket artillery and the garrisoned forces made New Manhattan THE most defended city in New York. But that didn't mean he wanted to worry the citizens, who all had total loyalty to him.

"I'll make this very simple. I sign this treaty, you call off your dogs...and I call off the Lamina unit. Oh look, they've already made contact with your platoon."

Sergeant Fredrick

"TAKE COVER!!!" Fredrick's squad jumped into a natural fox hole in the ground. Several other squads also took cover. "HAND ME THE [censored] RADIO!!"

The radio man tossed the phone to Fredrick. "This is Squad Alpha! We are pinned down at Point 678-Kilo. Requesting fire mission 240-898 at coordinates Alpha Charlie Foxtrot Kilo Echo Delta!"

Most of the squad had either Thompsons, M1 Garand replicas, or BAR replicas.

Alexander Scalatti

I'll make this very simple. I sign this treaty, you call off your dogs...and I call off the Lamina unit. Oh look, they've already made contact with your platoon."

Alex turned to John Fairfield, who grabbed Alex's arm.

"Hello William, its me, the man you brutally tried to kill. If I could just strangle you right now, but fine, i'll sign your [censored] treaty, but if you try to kill me again, I will burn you at stake."

"Hello William, its me, the man you brutally tried to kill. If I could just strangle you right now, but fine, I'll sign your [censored] treaty, but if you try to kill me again, I will burn you at stake."

William laughed and radioed Lamina Squad. "Hey Lamina, back off."

"Sir yes sir!" Lamina 1 replied back before they left. William radioed Alex again. "Alex, you're welcome to step into New Manhattan once more...see the glory of my creation."

Councilor Sonia Snowe

While William was managing the affairs of the state, Sonia was the figurehead of the entire operation. She stepped on the Ivory Tower podium. "People of New Manhattan..." She started with a somewhat shy and hesitant voice. The people didn't lose interest, they knew what Sonia was like.

"We are at a crossroads here. The Federation burnt our farms and killed our citizens...are we going to take that lying down?" She asked. The crowd below replied back with a bellow, "NO!" They yelled.

"Good. We will rebuild...William will take care of the Federation. Until then, heighten our defenses on the Jersey area and have faith! The Gauss Project has lasted over a century, WE WILL NOT FALL!" She yelled, completely entranced in the speech. The crowd below all cheered and Sonia went back to the Ivory Tower before collapsing on the couch. "Man...I had it easy...how does William do it every day?"

"Alex, you're welcome to step into New Manhattan once more...see the glory of my creation."

"Nah, you ruined what was once a gleaming jewel of wealth and democracy, no thanks, I'd rather be in the Lake Federation anyways." Alex hung up the line.

Fairfield struggled to stand up. "Pilot, turn us around to Bridgeport."
"Alright."

Fairfield then collapsed on the floor. The medic rushed over. "He collapsed due to the immense pain, double time it pilot!"

Mieux quickly radioed Scalatti in his Vertibird, "Not so fast Mr. Scalatti. You're coming to Arcadia, I want you and your dear friend the president up here in the penthouse right now. Don't worry, theres some medical equipment I keep in reserve up here just for myself, he'll need it more now. Meanwhile, you and I have much to discuss."

Meanwhile, waiting for Alex and his new friend to arrive, he had sent an envelope from his penthouse, the letter said 'President of the United States eyes only'. His aide Jack walked over to the President, interupting him from a conversation, "Pardon the interupption Mister President, but Mr.Mieux has ordered me to give you this letter." He politely bowed and turned away back to the party.

'President Sutler,

I would welcome your audience, as well as that of the other high members of your government you have brought with you. Mr. Scalatti and his.....friend, the president of 'Lake Federation' are inbound, I do not know what qualms, if any, you two may bear, but I ask you to put them aside if you have any, now is the time for urgent council.

Cordially,

Mr. Justin Mieux.'

Alexander Scalatti

Alex walked over to the pilot. "Turn around to Arcadia."

The pilot looked over puzzled. "Why? Bridgeport is where the hospital is. Arcadia is just a trading town with a autocratic ruler."

Alex repeated the radio transmission.

"Not so fast Mr. Scalatti. You're coming to Arcadia, I want you and your dear friend the president up here in the penthouse right now. Don't worry, theres some medical equipment I keep in reserve up here just for myself, he'll need it more now. Meanwhile, you and I have much to discuss."

The pilot nodded and turned the verti-bird towards Arcadia.

______________________________________________________

The verti-bird landed. The medic placed John Fairfield on a stretcher. Alex motioned for them to follow him.

Alex was wearing a stone grey suit with a grey fedora to match of course.

Since Alex was given VIP landing access, the guards did not take away his weapons, but Alex left them in the vertibird. Several guards escorted the group to the hotel.

Once inside, Alex quickly walked over to the receptionist. "Hello, it's me, Mr. Scalatti and Mr. Fairfield, we have a meeting to attend to."

"Ahh, Mr. Meiux is expecting you, right this way."

The elevator opened showing two heavily armed sentry bots. "Oh yeah, only Alex and John are allowed up."

The medic protested but to no avail. Then, John opened his eyes. "Medic, please, wait here."

"Yes Mr. President sir."

Alex pushed the stretcher into the elevator. It slammed shut, and began to move upward. It took about half a minute but eventually, it stopped. The door then slid open.

Don Frank Vercelotti

The Don awoke with a start. Opening his eyes wide, he stared at the ceiling of the room he was in, staring back at him was a single bulb hanging off a wire swinging back and forth. Thrusting upwards in from his resting position he felt a sharp and sudden pain all along his torso.

"Gah!" he winced. Not this again! he thought to himself, recalling that he was in this position once before, laying in a hospital bed, severely injured. Scrunching his face, Frank sat up, and rubbed his eyes. What happened this time? he wondered.

The Don almost jumped when he heard the door to the room swing open, and an elderly man in a medical jacket entered. "Ah, awake at last." the man commented pleasantly.

"What happened this time?" Frank asked, having no patience for small talk.

"The wedding. Don't you remember?" the doctor asked, smiling.

Frank remained silent. Straining his mind to go over the details. He remembered.

*FLASHBACK*

"Do you, William Snowe take Sonia Marx to be your lawfully wedded wife?" the priest asked.
"I do" William responded.

And then there was a bang. Frank recognized the sound immediately. Gunshot. Frank sprang into action, jumping for William to try and get him out of there. Before he reached them, he felt a sudden numbness. He stood in his place, directly infront of the altar, as William looked at him in shock.

Crap, it wasn't a gunshot, I just made a fool of myself. Frank thought. But then the numbness spread, first in his chest, then his entire body. Without reason, Frank dropped down to the ground, absolutely motionless. What the hell his happening to me? Have I been paralyzed? he wondered, looking around frantically when his eyes noticed something. Under him there was a large pool of blood. When he looked to trace the source, it was his own body.

The Don began slipping in and out of consciousness, only managing to comprehend a few broken sentences.

"The Don has been shot!--" said one voice.

"Get a medic!" yelled another.

"Don't die on me now!" screamed yet another.

Frank wished he could respond, but nothing. He couldn't move a muscle, let alone speak. He felt like he was being taken somewhere, but he couldn't be sure in his state. Then everything went black, and all Frank could hear was one, long, monotonous beep.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

---

"Hello? You okay? Snap out of it!" the Doctor was shouting, trying to gain Franks attention.

"I remember" was his only reply. After a moment of silence, the doctor began to explain things.

"By the time we got you in here, you had already lost a lot of blood." he said matter-of-factly. "We were hoping that the bullet had missed your heart. Our hopes were in vain." he continued. "The major parts-"

"Wait, what?" Frank cut off. "I was shot in the heart?"

"Yes" the doctor answered, shrugging, as if it were no big deal.

"So shouldn't I be dead?" the Don asked, confused.

"Technically, yes. And you were."

"Dead?"

"Yeah." the doctor replied, rolling his eyes, feeling rather irritated with the repetition.

Well, that's the best thing I've heard all day. Frank mused silently. "How did you fix me?" Frank asked curiously.

"Fix is a good word." the doctor chuckled. "We implanted a synthetic pump in the place of your heart, and replaced your circulatory system entirely. Your heard had been ruptured, and the lead from the bullet had gone and infected all your veins, arteries and capillaries." he explained. "The oxygen in your body in now being carried by other means. Our bio-engineers created a new fluid that can effectively replace blood, that's structured out of your own seman. In addition to that -"

"Okay! Okay! I've heard enough!" Frank stopped the man, absolutely repulsed.

"Mr. Vercelotti." The doctor said, leaning closer to him. "You are more machine than man."

The Don took a deep breath upon hearing these words and stared at the doctor grimly. "So basically, Im a robot?"

"Oh far from it!" he corrected. "You still have your own free will. It's only your circulatory system that has been replaced, you're otherwise the same. Although there are some advantages, and disadvantages."

"Like what?"

"Well, your heart is now much stronger, so you could run, or take part in any cardiovascular activity for hours on end without suffering from fatigue. You can hold your breath indefinitely too."

"Awesome" Frank smiled for the first time in a long time.

"But on the downside, you can't pass a metal detector without it beeping. You can be severely affected by pulse charges; be it pulse grenade, or electromagnetic pulse, more commonly known as an EMP." he added. "Oh yeah and, you need to charge yourself for the night."

"What am I, a cell phone?"

"Better." the doctor chuckled once more.

"Can I get out of here now?"

"Oh no, you'll need several days of therapy." the doctor responded.

Frank merely slapped his forehead. Dammit, I want to get out and see what's going on.

"Don't worry, you're allowed visitors. I sent word to the Director of your awakening before entering this room. Him and several others that were present at the wedding. They'll get you up to date." the doctor grinned comfortingly.

OOC: That last bit is to help fill me in on the current situation. Everyone present at the wedding has been sent a message by the Doc. :)

OOC: Just to help clarify Holy, Lyn helped Alex found Bridgeport.

Lyn Grave

Lyn was lazing on the banks of the river when a messenger approached her. Without word, Lyn snatched the letter he was holding out and read it over.

Dear Lyn,

Your friend, Don Frank Vercelotti, has recovered from his previous condition. While recovered, he still requires therapy, and would appreciate the visits of his friends at this time.

A burst of joy surged through her as she sprang up and rushed toward the deathclaw nest. Once she got there, she vaulted onto the back ofthe alpha male.

"Full speed ahead to New Manhattan!" Lyn shouted. The deathclaw grunted, and took off at a sprint toward New Manhattan.

Sutler was waiting outside of Miuex's fancy boardroom, flanking him was the Secretary of Energy, Dr Nathaniel Bennet Ph.d, a short man with a goatee and spectecles, the Depertment of Energy was essentially that of Research and Development and indeed the 45 year old Bennet had previously been head engineer down in Raven Rock's tech lab; beside him was the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Dr Whittaker, a tall African-American who gained his position chiefly by being the most skilled physician in the Enclave; both were clad, in newly manufactured from Vault 109, numberless jumpsuits. Sutler had radioed Adams to meet him here and waited for Miuex to show up.

OOC: Sorry for the sheer laziness, running very late and just didn't want to hold y'all up, :)

OOC: Well, Frank has just gotten a lot more interesting :D

Alexander Scalatti

Alex walked over to what appeared to be an auto-doc. Alex hooked Fairfield up to it using the instruction manual placed on it. After doing so, Alex walked over to the open chair and lit up a cigar.

When will he arrive?

OOC: I'm gonna force retcon you, since we're all in the Penthouse not the boardroom, James. :whisper:

Mieux clapped his hands together in delight. "AH! You're all here, excellent." Mieux had said, a gentle mozart concerto playing in the background. "Now that you're all here. I feel now is the time we topple Gauss Project once and for all. I know I swore neutrality, but I cannot see Gauss Project as a reliable people. The attempted assination proves the underhanded methods some will aim to achieve their power hungry desires." Mieux said, keeping it vague so as not to lie, since he had never admitted nor denied it, he only said things to push anger at Gauss Project." Mieux smiled happily to his guests. They were now in a private meeting room in the Penthouse, with a medium sized board table that seated eight, and a holotape projection table , and a podium next to a screen, artificial plants in the corners adding a feeling of comfort to the room. He brought them in the room and seated them all and taking his place at the podium. "Gentlemen, now is the time for the Enclave, Arcadia, and Bridgeport to seal it's power as a three pronged trident of power, showing all those who oppose rebuilding a PROPER America, not that communist dross they spread. No, now is the time to wipe Gauss Project and it's filthy lenin tower out of New Manhattan and build it to Pre-War glory. With my directive, I can rebuild Manhattan as it SHOULD be, with the Enclave, we can have the technology to defend it and keep it's old world American values alive, and Bridgeports trading caravans can keep us well fed and clothed. If you are all behind my idea of taking New Manhattan. I can begin the strokes of the assault, they were my back up plans, but they can be used if Bridgeport and the Enclave back me up, but you'd have to wait 5 minutes before assaulting, as a safety measure, you'll understand why if it happens. With Gauss Project out of the region, the Enclave will have no threats, however, I want strict assurances that Lake Federation keeps it's hands OUT of New York City, embassys and caravans are fine, but I want New York to become an independent beacon of humanity." Mieux took a sip of water, laced with his medication in the water, and flipped the holotape projector on, "THIS! This is the New York I knew, and with your help, we can and will rebuild it to it's glory."

Director William Snowe

"Sir are you kidding?"
William shook his head. "No, I really want you to create a Citadel in Jersey. There, let the farming revolution begin. It'll only be a matter of time until Arcadia turns on us and when that happens, we can't rely on their farming support anymore."

"Sir yes sir!" The crew of builders, with the elite Lamina squad, all went to create a new farming village out of the ruins of New Rabbiton. Soon, New Manhattan will be massive. The workers were very competent, it would take about a week to create the walls and recreate the farming villages. And another week to create an active trading center. But that would be the longest week ever.

Soon, another man burst in. "Frank is awake!"

William's eyes widened and he went down to the medical wing inside the bunker. He smiled. "Frank, dear friend, you're awake! There's so much to tell you but for now, all you need to know is that New Manhattan is under attack...by Alex and Justin Mieux."

Lyn Grave

Lyn held on tight to the shoulder of the deathclaw as it climbed over the wall of New Manhattan. The deathclaw rushed to the medical bay, where Lyn jumped off and rushed inside. After the medic pointed out Frank's room, Lyn rushed into the room. She saw William already there, talking to Frank.

"William." Lyn stated blandly as she looked over him. In a burst of happiness, Lyn rushed to Frank and gave him a big hug. "Frank! It's good to see you are well!"
