Mieux flicked his light off and looked around the large room. Outside the concrete and below the steel platforms were multiple generators. "Excellent." Mieux said aloud. He unzipped his suit and revealed his head. His face slightly damp from the warm heat in his suit. "These walls, those walls are radiation shielded, see those symbols? Means it's rad proof down here." Mieux wondered why those ghouls were here. "Now, step aside Alex, this is my field of expertise" Mieux smiled politely, sitting in the rusted and ragged old swivel chair, powering up the mainframe. "Okay, now, it'll take a few moments so the mainframe here comes on line. From here, I should be able to stabely direct power to the base. After that, if these computers have the software, I'll see if these computers are connected to the security camera systems." Mieux tapped on the counter top of the monitor station, wondering what Sutler would think when the power suddenly flickered on. As the eight screens flared to life, various symbols displaying on the screen."Excellent, now, just type in a few symbols and.....bingo!" He grinned. His face turned to curiousity. "Huh, what's this? A diary log." He read through it, wondering exactly was going on with ghouls in a radiation free room. "Well, that explains it. Rioters stormed the base, some for food, some for safety. In short the troops turned this place into a blood bath and threw the bodies into the silo pit. As it turns out, the Missile was still being fixed up, so it's casing was never closed. Apparantly the surviving troops and soldiers started getting sick, radiation poisoning. Some died, some went insane when their skin started flaking. Apparently the general was one of those 'insane ones' and they shut him in his office and ran down here, sealing themselves in. Says here their supplies lasted about 10 years. But the last log is 2080, which means they went insane short after." Mieux clicked his tongue, "Hell of a thing, but thats the way the world works." He sighed a moment and cleared his voice. "Anyway, computers." He turned on the mic still around his neck, "Mr. President, if you guys have a powerful radiation resistance chem, we need you to send someone with weapon tech no how to go into the silo and seal the warhead, according to the status boards and schematics I'm looking at, all it is on this device is a door with a sealing key, imagine a giant bulkhead door on a ship basically, so it should be easy peasy. However, their expertise is needed for the consoles there. You see, while I can look at the device, read status controls for the device, and so on, the key components that would give me use of the missile's docking bay are either dead or just not connected. However, the missile trucks are still nearby. So you could disassemble it once I get it topside. Also, don't worry, the few cameras working indicate nothing is alive here now, so it's all a go. To summarize it all, "Shut door on missile, radiation on base dies, you get missile and navigation controls and maybe some vehicles, and we take some tech via train, and go home that much more supplied."
OOC: I did, but the forum conked out and signed me out when I tried to submit my edit. So I just said screw it and am going to play like my radio didnt pick up that signal for my sanities sake.
