The arguing, it brought Alex back into his memories.
FLASHBACK - VAULT 109
Alex sat down next to his parents, Ann next to hers, and John next to his. Several guards guarded the entrances.
"So, Alex, um, what are we going to do?" Ann asked as she walked over.
"I don't know really, I guess we're stuck in this cafeteria."
Then, the intercom began to blast. Yells, screams, all hell was unfolding on the Atrium floor. "Whats going on in there?" One of the guards in the cafeteria yelled.
"Hell!! Help!! No!!!!!" His body was torn in half. The entire moment was blared throughout the intercom. Ann was screaming in fear, John was in a corner.
The guard turned toward the group. "Alright, we need to fight toward the armory, we can put up a fight there, they are only on the first floor, lets go!" The three guards opened the cafeteria door. The group of vault dwellers followed. It took a minute to reach the elevator, but when they did, a mutant appeared inside the elevator.
The mutant walked out, grabbed John's dad. A guard ran over to help but was shot up by another mutant, who had walked down the stairs.
"WE HAVE TO RUN!!!!" One of the guards yelled.
John Fairfield didn't want to leave his dad, who was ripped in half. But the guard forced him too. Alex and Ann's parents were in the front, running for their lives, as the guards were either ripped in half or shot up.
PRESENT DAY
Alex noticed that a tear had ran down his cheek. He needed as place to sit down. He slowly walked over to the sofa. "Sorry, I had several very harrowing memories of my vault days."
