Borgia Manus
Borgia and his team had arrived on "Queens" via boat to Flushing Bay. Borgia decided that travelling in low numbers would attract less attention, so only Borgia, the ghoul Anton and the Super Mutant Dom travelled. Once they arrived Borgia recited Alex's instructions to his team.
"Alright boys, we just keep walking until we reach one La Guardia, then go towards a Whitesone Expressway from Grand Central Parkway. Or was that Whiteton, it hardly matters. As I say, be on the look out for raiders. We have logs, a small canister of oil and matches. If we come across a small raider team and are feeling peckish, we take our chances. Hopefully raiders have decided to start taking ghouls into their ranks," Anton chuckled at this particular comment, "so that's that. Let's move out, fellas'."
Borgia and Anton were both carrying hunting rifles. Dom an assault rifle in his huge hands and a sledgehammer slung on his back. Borgia held Scarlett, his hunting rifle, firmly as the men began moving out. Scarlett had a scope modded onto it, Borgia had done this at a young age. He always preferred it to sniper rifles, any gun at that. It was trusty, and old. Ammo was relatively easy to find, and it held a great deal of cheesy sentimental value.
Borgia snapped back to the job at hand. No need to think about the past. The memories he had almost drifted into were pushed to the back of his kind, but Borgia knew that once he had began, he couldn't lock them away until he had thought about them thoroughly, reliving every moment in detail. If he did not he would be plagued with nightmares and would begin to feel sick, frequently throw up. He cursed himself for being so sloppy.
"Hurry the [censored] up, we don't have long to deliver this package. Or don't you want to get on the second most important man in New Manhattan's good side?" Borgia snapped, breaking into a steady jog. Anton and Dom both joined him, jogging along searching for raiders.
After a while Borgia and his two men came across a grand, crumbling roadway. It stretched on for a long way, further than Borgia could see.
"This must be the Grand Central Parkway," Borgia announced.
"Where do we go from here?" Dom asked, in his extremely well spoken and near-posh voice.
"We take uh... 20th Avenue? Just walk up it until we find a crumbling exit." Borgia bent over and inspected the gravel on the road. Thanks for the precise instructions, [censored].
After about ten minutes of wandering down the road, Borgia spotted a light in the distance. There was cars littering the side of the road, and Borgia crouched next to one.
"Investigate," Borgia ordered, speaking to Anton. The ghoul nodded and set off towards the distant glow on the road. Minutes later he returned.
"Four raiders and what seems to be a dead merchant. Two of em', two men at that, seem to be, uh..."
"Spit it out, Anton" Borgia said, irritably.
"They're having six, and the other two are watching and feasting on what I assume to be the dead merchant's supplies." Anton shrugged, "some sort of party. They seem to have beer, needles filled with god knows what. Y'know, a party."
Borgia processed the information. There was probably no way around them, but they seemed to be preoccupied.
"We take em' out before they know we're there. I'll sit at long range, Anton move in closer. Dom, you run into their little camp blasting and lunging. Move."
The men began sprinting towards the light. As they got closer, shouts and laughing could be heard. After a minute or so, Borgia could roughly make out a silhouette of two people. The light seemed to be coming from an elevated source, probably from inside a bin. Borgia slowed down and began jogging, his two men followed suit. Borgia eventually stopped and looked for cover, diving behind a rusted old car. He looked at the raiders through Scarlett's scope, and could clearly make out the four. Three men and a woman. Apparently the two men had stopped, as a man and a woman were having six on a hammock tied between two cars. The two other men, both naked, were sitting on the ground and laughing. [censored] animals.
Borgia looked towards Anton, who had stopped a bit further down. Borgia breathed in and waited a few more seconds for Dom to get into place. He then positioned himself and aimed Scarlett at the small joining taking place on the hammock. He didn't pick a specific target, he just aimed and fired. He hit the man, who seemed to be the one on the bottom. The woman continued for the split second before her head was taken off by Anton, too [censored] up to even notice the man under her was dead. The two naked men who had been laying on the ground watching the show had barely jumped to a stance before they were sprayed with assault rifle bullets. Borgia smiled. A nice meal before we continue our trip.
