OOC: I meant that the man had a knife, and the guards vaporised him :teehee:

Alexander Scalatti

John pushed his way through the crowd, reaching Alex. He motioned that he follow him. Alex did, until they were outside of the gate.

"Alex, I don't trust William."

Alex sighed, "Neither do I, you want something, don't you."

"Yes, I want to build a army base about say 40 Miles out of Bridgeport to keep an eye on Antium. He is cocking something up, I know it."

Alex nodded.

Tyler 'Gramps' Grave

Tyler had left his apartment in New Manhattan. He was wandering the streets, looking for something new to explore. It struck him that he hadn't been in any of the surrounding cities yet, so he decided on exploring Arcadia that day. The city of Arcadia struck him as being full of the Pre-war personality. He reminisced as he looked over the city and the people. A familiar face caught his attention though, and he made his way to the well-dressed man.

"Hey, aren't you Mieux?" Tyler asked as he approached the man.

Mieux continued worrying for the future when suddenly erupted from his thoughts, a raspy voice pulled him from his ocean of thought, "I beg your pardon?" Mieux said blankly, "Oh, er, yes, I am. Aren't you....Lyn's grandfather or something to that affect?" Mieux stood up and straightened his jacket, and extended his hand in polite greetings, "What are you doing here in Arcadia might I ask?" Mieux was truly surprised, as he never expected him to want to venture into the lights of a New York/Vegas hybrid town, he always seemed more the wasteland wanderer to Mieux.

Tyler 'Gramps' Grave

"Technically, it's somewhere around 'ten times great-grandfather', but you were close enough. As to what I'm doing here? Trying to enjoy retirement, I guess. I would guess you're in a similar position." He chuckled a this. Tyler was able to guess at the fact Mieux had stepped down. He wasn't as well dressed, and according to Lyn, he had never left his tower before. To Tyler, it was the only reasonable explanation.

Mieux gave a slight smile, "Yes, sadly it seems retirement, though started hours ago, isn't as fun as I'd hoped it to be. I just hope civil war won't erupt, I can't help but feel there's a storm on the horizon." He changed his expression started walking slowly with the old ghoul "But enough about the politics, how've you fared lately?"

NSU Chairman Jimmy Uzinen

"Sir did you get that?" One of the NSU squads asked. Jimmy smiled as he heard William's conversations through the network of CCTV cameras wired all across the public places of Antium.

"Yeah...their leader is a Mutant. We'll have no problem rallying the people of Antium behind a potential war. But we'll want to avoid a war if possible. Activate the ghoul NSU squads."

Director William Snowe

William silently watched as Frank returned the greeting. "Good to see you too, Director." And after a couple conversations, the group began to spread out. Frank chimed in.

"Oh, Director?" he interrupted. "We haven't met in a while, would you care to give me a tour of the city, maybe even show me your own office?" he asked. William immediately understood what it meant. After years in covert business, it was second nature to find the true meaning in sentences.

"Absolutely...follow me," William said as he walked towards the Zodiac Tower. Immediately, all the Zodiac Tower lobby workers saluted before going back to their daily duties. Antium Army wannabes..., William thought jokingly.

Soon enough, they got back to the Penthouse, which looked like any other Pre-War Penthouse. Couches, a coffee table, T.V for viewing, radios scattered around, a kitchen, three bedrooms, and of course a nursery, all of which were painted white with various weapons and paintings hung on the wall.

Sonia immediately plopped down on the sofa and relaxed lazily. As William sat down next to her and the two pulled each other close, he turned to Frank. "Frank, what exactly did you want to talk about?"

"Hah, at least you chose retirement. If things had gone better, I would still be farming back in Iowa." Gramps sighed a bit as the two started walking. "I've been good lately. I may be old, but I'm still as strong as I have always been. Come to think of it, we must be around the same age, Mieux. You've just aged more gracefully than I have." Tyler finished with a laugh.

Mieux chuckled," Well, before the war, I was.....thirty five?" Mieux furrowed trying to recall, " But, as I've gotten old, age has lost importance to me." In a quick change of subject, Mieux looked said curiously, "Tell me, you must sense it too can't you? War's brewing on the horizon. If not war, then political unrest. Who do you think'll come out on top?" Mieux wasn't fishing for a 'right' answer, but he just had to know how things were looking to others paying attention to the tense politics in recent days.

"War is a certainty, for it is a part of human nature. As for who will come out on top..." He paused to think a moment. "Hmm, this may make me an idealist, but I want to say good will always come out on top. Unfortunately, most things have blended into the gray area in-between. Alternately, my pride says that Lyn will come out on top, but I know she isn't the leading type, so it would be whoever Lyn chose to support, and I bet she will support Frank."

John led Alex to Lake Force 1. The inside of it was opulent and wonderfully decorated. There was even a separate room for the president on the tiny verti-bird.

"Sit down, sit down," John said as he pointed to the couch. As Ann took a seat, Alex plopped right next to her. John sat down at the arm-chair in front of the couch.

"Pilot, to New Manhattan please."

The super mutant pilot nodded and the verti-bird took off.

"So Alex, do you agree to the base being built near Bridgeport?"

"Of course I do, William needs some humbling."

"Something worries me though." Ann chimed in.

"What would that be?" John asked turning toward Ann.

"Well, I saw some super mutants as slaves in Antium, they might do something to Bridgeport."

"I saw that to, [censored] that bigot, the Lake Federation completely denounces racism, and it is disallowed in my county. About five years ago, about 300 mutants walked into the Federation from the west. Lately, even more have come. We also have a sizable ghoul population." John said.

"Well, it was Harris that destroyed the old slave camp on the site of New Manhattan about 15 years ago."

"Yup, Mutants are not bad, William needs to realize that."

Ghoul NSU Sleeper Cells

"My friends, I'll be honest, we may not make it back alive but we need to be convincing! Prove to Bridgeport that Ghoul High was under attack...we are not going against our brethren, we're helping them gain an alliance with our great Empire! Now let's move out!"

The ghouls silently moved, ten of them wearing pitch black cloaks while the remaining twenty used brighter coloured shirts. Soon, the convoy of about 30 ghouls moving in a straight line moved towards Baldwin Plaza. Without any warning, ten of them took out AK-47s and other weapons deemed "terrorist weapons" and shot like unorganized madmen.

The remaining twenty looked surprised and ran for cover, but in reality, they were getting ready. The ten who shot only shot at Super Mutants, all humans and ghouls were spared by order of Uzinen and of course, the twenty were ready to kill Harold if he came out of the room and if not, were ready to ravage the building Harold was in.

NSU Chairman, Jimmy Uzinen

"Chairman Uzinen...the attack has started," the NSU intelligence guy said.
Jimmy simply smiled, happy to carry out William's will and start a mutant genocide. Although when the Super Mutants down in the Great Wall construction site got wind of that, they might rebel...but would be quickly silenced with mutant killing pesticides, all sane ghouls would be evacuated however.

The intelligence man sighed. "Sir why do we allow ghouls into our city and treat them with equal respect as humans even though they're considered mutants? Shouldn't they also be slaves?"

Jimmy shook his head and made a "tck" sound like scolding a small child. "Ghouls are smart, they can work, think, and are overall, sapient creatures. The reason why we have Super Mutants as slaves is because their minds are like that of animals. Then they shall be treated like animals."

OOC: I'm waiting for Frank to respond.

Alex got a call from Harris. "Um, some ghouls are opening fire on the mutants, what should I do?"

John sighed, "Antium, I knew it, we have 50 soldiers stationed in Bridgeport at the embassy, mop them."

Alex grew angrier and angrier as the seconds passed. That [censored]! I should kill him AND his family, burn them at stake! [censored] bigots [censored]s!

Bridgeport

The LF soldiers poured out of the embassy.

"Sir! The damn ghouls have control of Baldwin!"

"Move in, mop them up."

The 50 soldiers ran into the square and took cover. Several ran into buildings and began to shoot from the windows.

Bridgeport Deathclaw Nest

The nest turned their heads in unison toward the city as they heard gunshots. Lyn had instructed them to play peacekeepers when the need arose, and the need was now. Five of the older deathclaws raced off into the city, to the source of the commotion. Ten ghouls, firing wildly. Easy prey. The deathclaws tore into the group, shrugging off the gunfire that had been redirected toward them. The ghouls quickly fell, and the deathclaws only had minor wounds. They stood over the fresh corpses, awaiting more trouble.

Mieux was about to respond when Mr. Utopia announced during the radio break that Antium, Alex, and Lake Federation were having a fight in Bridgeport, he just sighed and said 'I swear, people just can't leave each other alone can they?" He simply walked toward the tower, "I'm off for a drink in the Tower, want a drink and some dinner?" He turned back and looked to see how Lyns grandfather would respond, "I'm paying, of course" Mieux added with a grin. He didn't know why, but he took a liking to the old ghoul, almost as if they were like comrades in arms, minus the battlefront friendship.

Borgia Manus

"You ready to move out?" Borgia asked Dom as he finished consuming the leg of one of the raiders.

"We're going to continue today?" Anton cut in, surprised.

"We have a job to do, we best do it quickly," Borgia replied. In truth he just didn't want to sleep. Didn't want to subject himself to the nightmares.

Dom nodded and tossed the mostly eaten arm of the final raider to the ground.

"Let's move."

"All right, look for any crumbling exits." The men moved out.

"There."

Borgia looked to where Anton was pointing. There was a gap in the road, where it split and seemed to go in another direction.

"Indeed, another exit," Borgia muttered.

"Borgia, we have passed many. How do we know which one to take?" Dom asked, squinting his eyes towards the distant exit.

"Evidently the second most important man in New Manhattan is an idiot. Let's just hope we get to meet whoever runs the show when we return. Just continue until this 'parkway' ends. If none of the exits are marked, we say we couldn't find our way."

Dom nodded and began walking towards the exit, but Anton pulled him back.

"I think there's movement near the exit," he whispered.

Borgia noticed and looked towards. He could indeed make out some sort of movement, however it was getting dark. He aimed Scarlett at the source of movement and observed for a few moments.

"Small raiding party, two people. No need for a plan, Anton and I'll just take em' now," Borgia reported. Anton nodded and raised his hunting rifle.

There was a sign before the exit. Borgia could see it as the he approached the exit with Dom and Anton in tow.

"Check the raiders for ammo, chems, whatever," he mumbled as he jogged towards the sign. When he got to it he lit a match and placed it to the small body. It read 20 ave, clearly scratched in with a knife.

I found it," he announced.

After about an hour of travelling, Borgia saw a town on the horizon. He nodded to his companions and continued on.

They entered the town of Ghoul High with little problem. Borgia simply told the guards he was on business for Alex Scalatti. The addition of Anton to the party only assured the ghouls he was no threat.

After wondering around for a time among the ghouls, Borgia heard Dom from behind him.

"Boss, here."

Borgia walked towards the super-mutant, who was standing outside a small building. Borgia peered in the window. Looks like a shop.

Borgia entered the shop and approached the shopkeeper. Not too sure if this was in fact the shopkeeper Scalatti talked about, Borgia decided to not bring up and specifics.

"Crash Landing," he whispered to the ghoul and stood back, awaiting a response.

Ghoul Shopkeep

"Crash Landing," he whispered to the ghoul and stood back, awaiting a response.

The ghoul adjusted his tie and said in a raspy voice, "Near miss, follow me." The ghoul led Borgia into the back room of the shop. "Alright, hand me the package, but I have some questions. Did you shoot any ammo, lose any helpers, or was anyone injured?"

Mieux sat down with Lyns grandfather in the resteraunt, there was gentle classical music playing, which only enhanced the elitism that the tower and it's residence gave off, but Mieux, having lived here most his life, was not bothered by it. A waitress, dressed in a typical waitress's gown, Mieux had obviously felt right at home, "Yes my dear, would you be so kind as to bring some seasoned wheat bread, a bottle of 2057 Chateu Le France wine, and prepare a brahmin steak, cooked well, with a side salad please. How about you my good man?" Mieux passed Tyler the engraved menu, the menu was clearly pre-war, it's paper a rustic yellowing color now. After he had placed his order, the waitress came back with a bowl of breads, Mieux tore a piece off and ate a small bit of it, and, trying his best to sound casual, hoped Tyler wasn't going to catch the faint trace of blushing in his voice, "So, Mr. Graves, how's Lyn been doing lately? Enjoying her life in New Manhattan I hope?"

"I'll take a Brahmin steak, medium rare, with a baked potato." Tyler said to the waitress as he closed the menu. "There's no 's' in the name, Mieux." Gramps chuckled a bit. "Lyn seems to enjoy it here though. Frank has been making her life quite comfortable. The Brotherhood doesn't have a big presence here, which I'm sure is a welcome relief for her."

Mayor Frank Vercelotti

"Absolutely...follow me," William said as he walked towards the Zodiac Tower.

This place is unbelievable. Frank thought to himself, gazing around in awe.

Lighting yet another cigar and offering one to the Director, he began to speak. "Well Director, if didn't know already, Miuex is handing his seat over to that snake, Scallati." he informed taking a casual puff. "As you and I both know, that's hardly the best for New York. We need to fix this. The old mans' lost his mind, but I'm not about to let his foolishness ruin my people." Taking a step closer towards William and staring into his eyes, he continued to speak. "William, you've spent long enough in exile from New Manhattan. How would you like to take over again?" he smiled darkly. "You see, only people who even like Alex are rich folk who can afford to gamble at his joint. We all know that is a minority in New Manhattan. The power is with the people, and the people are with me. But I need support of a technological superpower if I want to get rid of Arcadia's power." he explained.

"Are you with me?" he asked, his expression intense.

Senet got up away from the couch on the other side of the room, and over to the window. She stared into the crowd below, she heard firing, and mutants dying

"GUYS!" she shouted "THEY'RE KILLING MUTANTS!"

Senet ran over to Frank, and whispered into his ear

"Do no trust that man, this director is a cruel man, i suspect he was behind the mutant killing..."

While Mieux was having dinner with Lyns grandfather, Mieux sent his agent, who was loyal to Mieux alone, to deliver a message to Snowe personally. How he managed to infiltrate Snowes security, Mieux nor anyone would ever know, but it didn't matter seeing as he was only going to deliver a letter. Listening intently for voices, he silently entered the room with Snowe and Frank, saying "Mieux is truly a genius", his voice cold and eerie. "Director Snowe, my name is not important, but I come with a letter, which I was told of it's content before hand, and he seems a Seer." He handed Snowe a letter, bearing the sigil of Mieux Towers.

' Director Snowe,

I'm sure by now Mr. Vercelotti has shown his true colors and is attempting to plot against Scalatti's power, that said, I'm not going to alert Alex, let this be his first important lesson in business and leadership. No, I intend to sit back and see what occurs, but, let me be very clear, as you well know, I get furious when I have the city I built attack, and in turn, I will swath a path of blood and death in my enemy until I am given apologies. That said, let me make this very clear. I will remain neutral if, and ONLY if you can resolve this power struggle without risking the lives of those men and women in Arcadia, without destroying those people's peaceful lives. It's no secret I've opposed your idealisms, yet I've been more than willing to do business with Antium, I cannot for see Scalatti being as cordial with you as I am, so either way, warring is likely inevitable, my request to you is a simple one, do not attack Arcadia proper and I will remain neutral, attack the city I love, and, well, the city will see me return to full power until this war is settled. I don't care if Frank steps up to me to ask to take my position, if it means peace in Manhattan Island, then so be it. So long as this island is respected by you, but not ruled by you, I can respect whatever dealings you two do, aside from Chems.

I hope you'll do your best to find a way to deliver peace, not war, to Manhattan, this world cannot build while titans continue to war and destroy.

Cordially,

Justin Mieux'

Leon "Eclipse" Graves - Port Neptune - Graves Spire

Leon stepped off the vertibird flanked by Garret, his bodyguard, and Mieux's tech who was to set up a communication center between Arcadia and Port Neptune.

"Garret could you please deliver those two suits of power armor to R & D please."

"No problem, Graves.", the mutant responded as he stalked off to the Research and Development building the two suits of power armor in hand.

Leon dismissed the bodyguard and then proceeded to show the tech to his office. After arriving on the ninth floor Leon led the man to hiss office where he found John Holmes asleep at his desk his ten gallon hat tipped down and an empty bottle of whiskey in his lap.

Walking over Leon slammed his hand on the table to wake the old man. "John get up you old coot! I've come back for my position you can go home now."

Falling out of the chair the elderly man began laughing hysterically. "Well damn, Graves. I was having fun being the head honcho around here. Oh well I better get back to the brahmin ranch for my boy bankrupts me." John said still chuckling as he made his way out the door.

Leon depressed his intercom as soon as John left. "This is Leon Graves I need one of you to escort Mr. Holmes back to his ranch. The man's drunk of his rocker and I don't want him being attacked by some addict on the streets."

"Right away, boss. Oh and it's good to have you back."

Leon grunted as he released the button and nodded to the tech to get to work. While the tech worked Leon asked one of his door guards to see if that conference room had been cleaned out so Arcadia could set up their embassy.
