The Vertibird had landed in the same location as he had been picked up from on the docks. Mieux was finally glad to see sunlight, having been in a near pitch black Vertibird. After it had left, Mieux had allowed his homing beacon to activate, allowing his former Arcadian colonel to find him. My good man, head for that marble building shaped in design of the old Chryslus tower. I have some work to do.
The Vertibird landed gently ontop of an old parking garage across the street from the tower. The two descended down the five levels and walked across the street. Mieux froze and his mind flashed back to the Pre-War days, his limo being parked in this very garage, him walking across the street to the Chryslus building, which was nothing short of a replica of the old Chrysler building. He saw cars speeding down the road, his eyes flashing again as the colonel touched Mieux's shoulder, "Sir? Are you alright?" Mieux looked down the road, looking at the deteriorating road, silence except for the howl of a soft wind, "Yes, yes, I'm fine. Er, let's carry on my good man."
The two walked across the old walkway and entered the old building's front doors, a once opulant grand lobby, now in a state of deterioration. Within seconds, a Sentry Bot rolled up, "This building is in a state of emergency lockdown, all personnel are to state their name and company you work for. Trespassers are to evacuate immediately." Mieux stomped angrily, "SON OF A-" He composed himself before he uttered the next word, he looked to the colonel, "What you hear now, you will NEVER utter to anyone else, understood?" The colonel, flinching in nervousness nodded his head. "Y-Yes sir." Mieux looked back at the Sentry Bot, hoping his data was still good, "Mr. Justin Ampere. CEO of the RobCo New York City branch, Penthouse Offices." The robot stood silent, checking the barely running servers, "Data accepted, voice signature authentic. Good afternoon Mr. Ampere, have a pleasant day." Mieux felt weird, uttering a name he long left dead, Mieux said for the colonel to politely come along. Mieux looked at the elevator apprehensively. "Let's hope this thing still supports passengers." Mieux pushed the button to enter the penthouse level, where a very high end office suite was, Mr. Ampere, as Mieux was known, still plastered on the misted glass door. Mieux was surprised none of the windows were blown out."No need to worry about security, you are registered into the system too. They're what has kept this tower from being looted apparently. Moving onward, right now, we need to contact Sutler, this tower lacks any of the sophisticated software that the Mieux Hotel was installed with. We'll need a lot of mainframe hardware and terminals, as well as architects to restore this place to working order. In short, we'll need to start from square one." Mieux pulled out a Wattz Radio with the Enclave logo on its lower portion. "Er, sir, where did you....Oh no, please don't tell me you stole that from a soldier." Mieux made a face of mock hurt, "Steal is such an ugly word, I prefer the term 'unauthorized lending with the intent of returning it.' but to each their own."
Mieux then looked down at the radio and tuned it to the frequency he had seen on the radio of the Presidential Desk. "Oh President Sutler!" Mieux said in a flowing singing tone, "Yes yes yes, I took a soldiers radio, but he'll get it back, anyway, this tower is in very good condition for it's deterioration, it needs a new coat of paint and cleaning, but that aside we'll need shipments of several high end server mainframes, and no, I'm not kidding when I say this, we'll need twenty five servers, and five tanks of liquid nitrogren to keep the designated server room at absolute zero degrees farenheit. Not to mention around thirty standard RobCo terminals, and about ten wall mounted terminals. Think you can manage that"
