I Have just been roaming the area of Corvega Assembly Plant Killing all Raiders, And i came across a Monkey! FROM CALL OF DUTY ZOMBIES! I Thought for a second and wanted to share this to the PUBLIC! May of you mite of already known! But Its still worth mentioning

I found one in the Faneuil Hall. I actually thought it might be a Stephen King Easter egg.

Look at it's clothes: Striped pants, yellow vest. (I don't know how to insert a picture)

There is a Stephen King cover for 'The Monkey' (Originally a short story from 'Skeleton Crew' about a cymbal monkey) that has this exact same monkey with the same clothes. (I'm not allowed to post a link).

The CoD monkey has yellow pants and a striped vest, so the other way around.

They're bombs. Beware!

If you walk close to them they will bang their cymbals. Scared the [censored] out of me when I was sneaking on an enemy.

There are several around the Commonwealth.

Where did these monkeys come from and what is their backstory as to their integration into the fallout universe?

Not all are bombs. I ran across one on a raised highway that just clapped his tambourine.

All I say is this... I see one of those evil things, I shoot their heads off before they "wake up".... *shudders* I hate these things even more than ghouls! LOL

Their eyes glow red or yellow too, not sure what triggers it though cause other times I've stood looking right at them and nothing. Seen 2 myself so far, one high up in converga and another in a shop type building where it's on a shelf behind the counter

Don't worry... they're pretty common, he's not spoiling anything for you.

They aren't all bombs, the one I found wasn't. I've seen somebody speculate they are there to mess wist your stealth, which in my case could be a good point as the building I found it in was full of Super Mutants. I was sneaking around, if I had set it off before I had killed them all they would have probably come running. You can't interact with the monkeys besides breaking them, so you probably are supposed to spot them and break them before they alert the enemy.

They are all evil, shoot them all, everyone you see.

They were there in previous Fallouts, the little buggers raised the alarm every time I tried sneaking past them so yeah, headshot with silencer before they can set off the alarm.

I found three of them in Corvega. First one I found I walked up to it and its eyes started flashing yellow. Stood there and looked at it. Then they started flashing red so I ran like [censored] expecting it to be a booby trap. It didn't blow up though. Then neither did the other other two.

i see them all over the place. I have never had one explode or bang or do anything. I just shoot there heads off. I would hardly call it an easter egg, as i have seen dozens of them all over the map

dude, its in the "cheats, spoilers, hints" section. Pretty strait forward

I've run into one that set off a bottlecap mine. I've also run into one that woke up a bunch of feral ghouls. And another that alerted a bunch of raiders I was around the corner.

They definitely mess with your sneaking.

Has anyone else seen the Monkeys in the space suits?

I found 3 hollotapes that said "the squirrel" parts 1-3 I ended up throwing them into a radiation lake when I heard them all, very terrible message if you listen to them.

Yeah it is now thankfully as it should of been in the first place but instead was moved here by mods from the main forum for being a spoiler... dude.
