New Monsters & Enemies: Lore friendly or not

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 2:05 am

I've realized by the few video glimpses we've seen that we will have both our traditional enemies that we are all familiar with as well as some new ones as well. My question is on what scale do you think we will be introduced to new enemies? Will this be on the scale that the mod FWE provided us or will we just see a handful mixed into the bag?

Personally I'd love if there were dozens more new & different varieties/variations of enemy/monsters mixed in with the past Raiders/Mutants/Ghouls/Mercs, etc.. What about you? Do you wish to see more fresh faces or are you more of a traditional lore purist when it comes to this? :fallout:

Well considering it's Bethesda's lore now they can create what ever new enemy they want, and I'll be all up for it, more enemy diversity makes it less boring. :)

Its not hard to add lore friendly monster/enemies. New named gangs and factions can easily be added to areas not explored before. New monsters can be added with the area being new and with new tech they can make some more prominent or have them migrate to the area and so forth.

I personally would like a good range of critters to fight around the map.

You know how it is: Different foes in different area codes.

I'm kind of psycho when it comes to lore. Even mod that is not friendly I refuse to download.

That said, I liked what I saw so far. The mosquito is the best until now, and if they do right, it has everything to be the new cazador.

I would like to see some new monsters and peaceful wildlife too.

Androids are pretty exciting all by themselves... Especially since I'm assuming that there will be times when we won't be able to tell if someone is an android or not.

I'm personally hoping for some new robot enemy variations as well. Seems like, in a world that can make androids there might be some pretty cool robot types we have never seen yet. I would also love to see some more really mutated creatures like Floaters and Centaurs as well.

I would love to see an enemy (or 2) who would make you use the Pulowski Preservation Shelter to get from point A to point B or C by reigning down Mini-Nukes. Then if you get into position to take him/her/it out, you are rewarded with the FATMAN! Oh YEAH! :run:

I'm hoping for more passive mutated wildlife, like what Skyrim had. Rabbits, foxes, deer, elk....

I'm hoping for some prey animals, or at least modders to add prey animals like mutated deer and horses.

I would like to see some new enemies, as well as the nostalgic enemies we've seen in previous games.

In different areas of the country, I suppose it's possible for different wildlife to have overtaken others due to differing doses of radiation and the amount of time that has passed since the bombs fell.

We did see at least one new enemy type in the gameplay videos released by Bethesda. I believe it was called a "Blood Bug?" It looked like a large, mutated mosquito and had a cinematic type attack where it seemed like it stabbed you in chest with its bloody, buggy appendage thing.

This is a hope of mine too but as always this might be asking too much.

I would like for there to be different versions of enemies depending on what kind of environment you find them in. For example: a Mirelurk found in a swamp would be a darker brown color and one found in a coastal area might be sandy colored. Similarly, Raiders found outside of an urban area might be differently equipped from one found in an urban area.
Me too.

This^ So much this. I would love to see more critters that had AI reactions between "I want to kill you" and "You can interact with me by pressing 'E'." Take dog packs for example:

1) I will attack you if I see you.

2) I will ignore you unless you get too close.

3) I will run away when you approah.

4) Please pet me.

That list could go on and on.

Deer and other small animals would be a great addition, I have high hopes after the wildlife in Skyrim. Horses however have been declared extinct lore wise (at least in the US)

The Witcher 3 did this well, I'd also support the implementation of extinction and migration of animals depending on their environment and other factors (again like the Witcher 3).

Definitely would like to see some passive wildlife and also some new variations of older enemies. In one of the vids i spotted a sentry siege breaker bot it was moving fast but it seemed bigger and mote heavily armored than a standard sentry bot.

There are a few things they actually shouldn't do. One would bring back the wanamingos, which they almost did for 3....then there is the aliens...

Agree on the aliens. I personally hated the alien dlc but I've heard I'm not in the majority here so I won't cry if I see them. Also, if they include all the mutations that FWE brought (or a variation of them), I'd be ecstatic!

I'd like to see more mutant monsters, if only just for the sake of something new to shoot in the face.

I'm kinda hoping for more aquatic enemies. Given some of the concept art showing the coast and the perk Marine Boy, I'm assuming there will be more underwater segments. If I see a Rad Shark, I'm just going to completely freak out.

There is an underwater art pic, your walking underwater and something in front of you may be a large sea creature.
