In my opinion we should have more mounts i like the Horse as a mount but Skyrim needs more mounts right ?

I think horse and maybe mammoth could be possible. I dont really care about armor, but why not, if it isn't as silly/useless an in Oblivion.

Bears would fit the setting, I'd love tiger/lion but I can bet there will be just horses.

I honestly don't expect mounts to make the cut.

Bethesda's not even sure if horses will be rideable yet. They alone take up vast amounts of work.

Though I would like to see an epic bear mount, I don't think it's very likely.

I doubt that even if Skyrim has mounts, they'll have a big difference in shape and size, like horse, mamouth, bear, tiger, lion... too much difference, way too complicated to put in the game, I'm sure that won't happen.

I just wish horse will be in.

Horses are confirmed to be in the game based on the gameplay trailer. Their probably going to be used for the carriages. I think theirs also going to be traveling traders and they might use horses. The horse seen in the trailer wasn't attached to a carriage, it was just standing near a stable with a saddle, so it seems someone is riding them. If horses are going to be used by NPC's then I don't see why we won't be able to use them. I just think Bethesda is not saying anything so they have something big to release in the future. However if they aren't confirmed for player use by E3 then they probably won't be usable.

They can be in the game but never used by NPC or by the playable character, they never confirmed horse to be ridable, or if they did, it's pretty recent. Never heard or read the confirmation anywhere yet.

I agree. Role playing doesn't allow me to carry 300 lbs of equipment without some kind of container to store it in. If we can ride horses, saddlebags are a must! :biggrin:

How about we stick with horses, if they even manage to get those in? Last word I saw (mind, mounts don't interest me so I may well have missed some newer information) was that they weren't even sure if horses would make it in as ridable, despite all the knee-jerkers insisting that the appearance of one saddled horse standing next to a building means they're in as mounts.

Hell, by that logic I call "confirmed proof" that we can own, sail, and live on our own sailing ships. After all, there was a sailing ship sitting out on the water in the same trailer with the horse, right? :rolleyes:

Personally I'd rather they just had horses. I like the mundane low fantasy style.

lok no to all mounts but horses, have you ever seen someone ride a bear? didnt think so. plus nothing else will make the cut im sure if they dont even know if they will get horses how they want them

LOL at the people that dont know the lore and think that the only mounts in TES are horses.

Only one a horse or mammoth only but different armor in dlc and such.

For the armour you could just wait for "Skyrim Horse Armour Pack".lol

But in all honesty I'd love more mounts, perhaps more realistic mounts, as wolves etc. are a bit to small to actually ride.lol Also Dragons are a bit of a stretch unless like you said by summoning one means it is trained to be ridden.

Alternate and exotic mounts would be welcome in my world.

I realize that many of these would be hard to pull off, but I'd be happy to see any of them.

There can never be too many kinds of mount, nor can there ever be too many kinds of cool barding for them.

I really doubt we'll get anything more than horses (the resource cost of various monster mounts, not to mention themed barding for them all, would probably be too much), but here are my other suggestions to add to the OP's, just for fun:

Well why need horse armor if we cannot use horses in combat, who even need horses if all will use fast travel instead?
Todd mentioned thats horse armor will done as DLC even if there will be no horses in Skyrim.
