Mike, your question about marriage ended up yielding some fantastic feedback!
There are hundreds of people that you CAN marry, if they want to marry you. They can become your companion. Having a companion offers awesome perks. Your wife can fight by your side, helping you attack or defend. She can carry stuff for you increasing your inventory capacity. She can cook for you once a day increasing your health. There are many “Lovers’ bonuses” available. Possibly the BEST thing: you can delegate tasks and send your followers to do things for you, such as attack, collect food, buy weapons, and more… Unfortunately for you there are no “brown-chicken brown-cow” relationship animations.

Completely happy about this...

I just wonder if you'll be able to dress your spouse in armor and decide their weapon.

What do you guys think?????

I assume a high level conjuration perk lets you have 2 summons, and that the types listed are merely examples. Would be pretty cool. I loved multiple summons in Supreme Magicka (mod, Oblivion).

Im super thrilled we got the details on two perk trees!!! i WANT the other trees badly :)

I just wonder if you'll be able to dress your spouse in armor and decide their weapon.

Dont see why not. Its a basic feature, importable from Fallout.

What Im more curious about is: Are we limited to one spouse? and regardless, can we have companions without being romantically involved with them?

So multiple summons are in!

Conjuration has it’s own skill tree. You start off only able to summon ONE. Eventually you WILL be able summon up to TWO Atronachs or Reanimated Zombies though.

Should we assume that Atronachs and Reanimated Zombies are the most powerful summons if we can "eventually" dual summon them?

This relates to a question of mine. Will there be other summonable Daedra besides Atronach? I hunger for Dremora and Golden Saints, you see. lol.

I'm quite disappointed in the smithing perk tree. There's no pizazz or variation, none of them seem to be unique or alter the experience in any significant way.
Umm... it's just smithing, what did you expect.

mm I'll prbly just hire a goon to follow me around.

You might be able to leave things on the ground and hope they keep, it instead of returning it, if there isn't a menu to do so.

Slightly disappointed about the Conjuration news. I had hoped that the skill tree may give us more Morrowind-esque summoning (you can summon multiple summons, as many as you want, just not more than one of the same type). However, that said, im glad that multiple summons are at least in in some form. I had just hoped itd be more. But certainly better than nothing.

I wonder what the Conjuration skill trees are then. Perhaps a focus on undead vs. Daedra? Thatd be cool. I much prefer undead over atronachs and daedroths and clanfeara.

Wait? so no Smithing armor customization as we had suspected? (atleast in terms of upgrades). Count me confused and disapointed

What is "scaled armor" sounds new .

Here is how I interpret the Smithing perks

Smithing (general skill): You can create types of iron armor/weapon depending on your resources and you can improve ANY armor/weapon.

[blank] Smithing: Getting a material specific perk allows you to create items from that material and bumps the improvement level for that type up by double

Advanced Smithing: Note it says create "scaled and plate armor". My optimistic translation of this is that most/all material types have DIFFERENT ARMOR TYPES (i.e. studded, chain, mail, scale, briastplate, plate, etc. etc.). This is the only way this perk makes sense. It cannot mean that it allows you to make armor from dragon scales/plates because that is already the "Dragon Smithing" perk. I hope this is true because that means we might get ~3-6 variations of some or each material

I don't really get this smithing business. Why can we make Dwarven weapons? I thought they had to be made by Dwemer.
And wasn't Daedric stuff essentially Ebony forged in Daedric realms? Very confusing ...

And only 2 out of 6 materials are light armor. How do we create the rest? If we can create all the other light armor from the beginning, that's not really fair to heavy armor. :(

I just hope we have some long-range summons that work this time, the caster summons in OB svcked.

This way we could have a caster back with us and a tank occupying the mobs. Or two casters, not getting in the way, if you're a battlemage.

I'm of course happy my question about Guild Master being more worthwhile. But from the list besides other, I love the conjuration info!

I was also VERY happy about Guildmastery being more involved and significant.

Yeah, smithing Dwemer equipment doesn't make much sense. I suppose you're just making a very good replica. I'm also a bit confused about visual armour customization, I was sure that we had proven that to be included. Overall, exciting stuff.

why is no one else caring about this?

This was a feature that was basically confirmed through the hard work of forum members, and now has been thrown aside! (also i recall pete confirming it...but can't seem to find a source, so now I'm doubting myself).

One of the coolest features that we presumed in the game ripped from our hands! Explain the armor differences! Please!

well, I know in the Fallout games, if you put armor in their inventory and it's better than their own, they'll wear it... I wonder if it'll be like that in this game as well.

EXCELLENT interview work. Thank you for all the info.

What I very much want to know, though, is whether or not you will be able to marry more than once in the game (o.e. have a different spouse in different holds) And ALSO, does the one companion rule mean you get only one companin choice through the entire game, or that you can have multiple companions, but that only one of them at a time can actually go anywhere with you?

Yea, I guess you really should be able to.

If they added features like letting them carry things for you, then you should be able to give things to them FOR them.

mm also if they're making you meals and finding you items, then you should be able to give them presents. .Women love swords and briastplates, no?
