New to New Vegas, which mods to use?

The Satchel mod is probrably my favorite just aesthetic wise.

Allows you to wear multiple things from different armours and such.

I had no idea what you meant so had to tube it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcjgqovlHDk
Looks pretty interesting indeed. Although when wearing power armor (I *just* finished the Brotherhood questline for the power armor training) and a backpack I don't see the necessity to wear more items. Seems heavy enough as it is already.

Then again my total weight is like 525 at the moment lol, some mods just keep adding stuff (150 from Real Time Settler for example). I'm not complaining though because it saves me the hassle of giving stuff to companions which has the same end result but is a huge time waster and not fun to do anyway. I just roleplay the weight it shared over all 4 companions (Boone, ED-E, Willow and her dog JT) and I don't use their own inventory for storage at all.

http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/36660 is another good one in that regard.

By the way, if I give Boone an anti-materiel rifle that has requirements "Strength: 8 and Guns: 100" does that matter when he only has 7 strength?

If so I guess I could give him an armor with +1 strength but at the moment he's using the Recon armor (the one that the brotherhood scouts use) which seems fitting considering his spotter perk.
