New Oblivion Update?

Post » Mon Jan 17, 2011 5:03 pm

Hey guys, I popped in my Oblivion disc into my 360 and a 5MB update appeared, any idea of what it is?

Last time I played Oblivion must have been around 1 or 2 months ago, so it's pretty clear that it wasn't an old update.

The update doesn't actually tell you what it is? That's weird.

360 updates never tell you what they are. We just get them :D

I also got this update on my 360, and I also got one for Fallout 3? The plot thickens.

Probably just whatever fixes they didn't have time to add when they got busy with Skyrim development. Now that they have some breathing room they just added in the final one.

That's my theory at least, as I haven't actually noticed anything. Try using some of the known glitches and check if they work, notably the scroll dupe glitch and the paintbrush glitch.

They just fixed up some glitches that had to do with some monsters and caves and whatnot. Just minor things, nothing major...But Bethesda might have added a secret spoof, who knows. The only known fixes are minor glitches

scroll dupe still works, used it to spam apples in the arena bloodworks

I thought Oblivion hadn't been patched since well over a few years ago? The PC version, at least. That's kind of cool if they're still working to remedy some of the quirks in the console versions that unofficial patches can't fix. :)
