New Orc looks Sad

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 7:27 pm

I started my 5th character it is going to be a sword and board. I really liked how the orc looked on the waiting screen the one using two orcish battle axes no shirt all barbarian like. These are the problems i am running into 1) all the orc faces look sad not angree i want a orc that looks like he is about to rip off someones arms not play with butterfly's and pick flowers. 2) there are so fer sets of pant's armor, most of the lower armor i keep seeing is from the shirt but i do not want a nvde orc i just want his muscular chest showing so it adds more of a barbarian look. Anyone know how i can fix these two problems?

I know i will not see my face or body for the majority of the game but it's about the RP aspect.

Orcs haven't been having a fun go of it is all. Their lives are pretty sad.

They're ugly as sin. They have a reason to be sad.

Would and orc join the imperial or nord? I think they would be more sided with the nord but that's just my opinion?

For some reason you don't see any in Skyrim but Orcs for an important and time-honored auxiliary within the Legion.

I can deal with looks. But my Orc makes some funky noises! Sounds like a two pack a day smoker when he gets hit! Ohhh, ohhh. Cough, wheeze. Does not sound the least bit frenzied - just out of breath.

Sorry there Wyatt! I always played a Orc in Morrowind or Oblivion for a warrior (the Name being Torm! Go AD&D. Torm take you! -10 points if you do not get the reference) But this is the first time I ready to drop poor Torm cause he sounds - bad. Plus Orcs should have some racial resistance. I thought they had resistance to magc?

Sorry the end of your text seems a little hard to understand, are you saying they honor an orc within the legion?

So far all the Orcs I have encountered have retired from the Legion (Markarth Smiths). That said, I am RPing an Orc that has joined the Stormcloaks with the ultimate goal of helping to desolve the crumbling Empire. With the endgame goal of expanding Orsinium and once more returning it to its former glory and beyond.

Orcs certainly form an important part of the Legion, yes.

Would be nice if the made some DLC that gave the option to develop skyrim into an orc kingdom. in the midst of battle between the stormcloaks and imperials an army of orcs has risen with the soul purpose of eliminating both and taking the land as their own.

Unfortunately its true most Orcs do look sad--in large part due to their overly large fangs that make them look dejected more than ferocious. However you also have to take into consideration that once things start rolling they're visage changes (going in to combat makes them look angry). Think of Orcs as Hulk--mild mannered with horrible secret by day and nasty green monster when someone steals his sweet roll. Just couple shots of my Orc for examples:

Regarding clothes... unfortunately choices are limited. I wore Hide for a time personally (basic option that has the big X across chest) until I got Scaled Horn (what I'm wearing in screens). Fur, Hide and Scaled are basically best bet (practically only) bet for true 'barbaric' savage looks, imho. I decided to wear a hood as it goes well with them and looks great at the same time (can sometimes find 'Mage Hood' or something like that in shops you can enchant for personal tastes--I want to find that bear hood and do some quests for other helms at some point). He looks nice dual wielding or with sword and board as well (although I use axes/maces almost exclusively).
