A New Order quest won't start

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 11:33 pm

I just finished the Bloodline quest, and refused Harkon's offer, then got banished from his castle. In my journal Bloodlines seems now finished. However, I didn't get any message about A New Order Quest. It seems that it just doesn't start at all.

Am I missing something? Or do I have to use the console (which commands to use?) to get the quest started?

The quest begins after talking to Isran I think.

Yeah, I noticed that it doesn't start until you speak with him.

Thanks for comments. I have already tried to speak with Isran after finishing Bloodlines, but there are no new discussion options. Also, there is no vampire attack when I arrive in fort Dawnguard, so the quest hasn't started, even if Bloodlines is marked as finished.

I have tried to enter setstage DLC1HunterBaseIntro 20 in console, but there is still no message about the quest starting.

Is there anything that I could try to get the quest started?

I'm on X box so I can't comment on any PC fixes. But I think you may end up starting the Dawnguard questline again, unless you have a save from before meeting Harkon. Sorry, that's all I can suggest. Good Luck!

I also noticed that after refusing Harkon's gift, bloodlines is marked as complete and queststage is set at 200. Is there any way to overcome this bug? I tried to start Bloodline again from the start, but it didn't help.
