What do you have in the way of OBSE-only plugins, and other things that don't show up in a load order? Do you use OSR, Pluggy, MenuQue, OBGE, etc?

What do you have in the way of OBSE-only plugins, and other things that don't show up in a load order? Do you use OSR, Pluggy, MenuQue, OBGE, etc?

My vanilla game has always crashed, even... *sigh* Across multiple computers. Guess stability was never meant to be for some of us..

I have never timed how long my game survives between crashes, but I am guessing it is around 4 hours ona good day, and 30 minutes on a bad. If there is a specific error, it will last 30 seconds.

But what is more impressive is playing 18 hours straight. If I did that now, I would be jobless (on weekdays) and wifeless (on weekends) :rofl:

I have neither the opportunity nor the desire to play any game 18 hours straight. :shrug:

I think the longest I've played Oblivion, nonstop, is about 10 hours, and even that was a bit much, to be honest.

Generally, I play for between 1 and 4 hours (usually, 2 or 3). But I still don't get CTDs, which is nice. I suspect that would remain true, even if I did go playing for more than half a day.

But I don't see that happening. :no:

Yeah, at my age, I'm lucky if I can sit for a couple of hours!

I had the first CTD at Lvl 7 with my current FCOM install, after 60+ hours. And it was an overload CTD, so not because of bugs or anything. Of course, it wasn't a straight 60+ hour gaming session, though. Even in my crazy gaming days I've never been close to playing 18+ hours straight.

Anyway, your 18+ h session shows that you definitely can have a stable game with an FCOM+ game.

I have played for ~10 hours without a single CTD. Oblivion Stutter Remover and the 4GB patch are making Oblivion enjoyable.

I have never played either Morrowind or Oblivion for anywhere near that long but I did have 10-12 hour play session with Daggerfall. I am planning on having some long play sessions with Oblivion and load lists like this help a lot in this.

PS. The longest play sessions I have ever had were when I played for almost 3 days straight and beat VTM: Bloodlines and when I played Thief 3 for 2 days straight but I can't do that anymore because of health problems. (I don't have insomnia as bad anymore)

Damn. I'm happy that I can play for an hour without a CTD. 18 hours. I wish my game was that stable.

I follow your stable FCOM guide, but still get CTD's pretty regularly. I found that OSR improves stability when I enable the experimental stuff. I used to get a CTD every 30 minutes, but with OSR, it has improved to every hour (or so -- maybe a little less at times, maybe a little more at times).

Hah. Well on my current PC, I have the 870 CPU, more RAM, but an ATI video card. I've played the game on two other computers with Nvidia cards, one a GTX 280, one a 7900GT (I think) and still have never had a stable play through under any circumstance, including completely vanilla. I thought at least your hardware must be indicative of your success, not simply the load order.

I'm starting to wonder if the game is aware of my presence and adjusts crash chances accordingly.

Do you have a separate soundcard?

Which shows that even with FCOM and heavily modded system you can play for hour's on end without any ctd..

Has you are using the Unreleased Version once again which had even more fixes to make UFCOM even more stable

most users already if they have a stable load order can get the 2-3 hour that most people can play then CTD happen (overload) , longer session are not unheard once again, just have to not stress machine out so much if you have a lower end machine like Arkngt and Me do..

The Next UFCOM should at least add another 1 hour to 2 hour to so we are hoping everyone will get 3-5 hour session with FCOM in future

(Oh, and so I was thinking the other day...what if MMM and other multi-.esp mods like FCOM had most those .esps merged then an .ini was created to disable/enable the features you didn't want...that sure would clean up the mod list, but probably not all .esps could be merged but some could. Anyway...just a thought.)

what do think I have been doing for the past year..Lot's and Lot's of TESEDIT work..

Overhauling the Overhaul with Assitance of Course from rest of TEAM and Various Members has well, it has been team effort that everyone is going to enjoy..

Most of the MMM Mods and FCOM Mods are bash mergeable

but yeah a ini would be nice like MMM for Fallout 3..
