I have a YouTube link with this interview. Worth putting in the OP, imho.

Nice interview, but I really didn't like the way he answered the Vampires and Werewolves question. :sadvaultboy:

Better PC UI, dog companions and being able to command companions sounds great. :)

[*]new interface for moving companions around the world
[*]you can tell companions to fight specific enemies or move to targets
[*]he seemed to contradict Todd's comment that they are planning to release DLC that is "bigger than FO3 DLC" and on the expensive side
[/list]

SWEET!!!! Now just make riding in first person and I'm all in!

Yeah, but the point i was making was hopefully there will be far less Ranked Perks (1/5 sneak damage "you get +10% more sneak attack damage") and more things like Shield Bash, 10x sneak damage with daggers, lightning bouncing around rooms and all those cool things.

also, in the interview he said 220, which is why i said the 12.22 per tree as that would be at the 220 mark. remember, the more perks they have, the harder it is to make unique perks and start adding in ranked ones... which i hate.

I agree with you there. I believe we all would like to see that.

Thankyou for the link! One of the better interviews lately. Now I'm only waiting to hear the whispers of Beta and finally "Gone Gold" then it's really gonna be hard to contain oneself! :tes:

If all 18 skills have 15 perks, we're at 180 perks. Think it's safe to assume that all 280 includes multiple perk ranks, and special kinds of perks you may not be able to pick on the star map or that companions provide or whatever.

If all 18 skills have 15 perks we're at 270!

220 perks is still good but I think the ranks of the perks will put that number much higher. I did some math hopefully this isn't wrong but if every skill had at least 1 Rank type perk like the Block skill has that rank 1 of 5 is 20% block increase or whatever the number is at the beginning. If every skill had at least one of those perks that's an additional 72 perks that we have in addition to the 220 perk number that we have. Now of course if that 220 number is counting the 72 then that's not bad either. If 70 is the max number of perks and someone is able to get that high in level that's only 30% of the perks. Ironically enough Skyirm will be about the same in terms of perk percentage as Fallout 3 if it is indeed 220, Skyrim is 31%, Fallout 3 is 29%.

The news on the UI fonts being scalable makes me so happy.
Wonder if they could release a patch for Oblivion to be like that.. :P
