If this isn't a landslide poll I don't know what is.

Haha, indeed!

No, I don't want more. 10 races is enough and they are supposed to be more unique this time.

Tang Mo...someday. Someday we'll get to see more of them. Learn more about em. Got my fingers crossed that they're based of Saiyans. The two sentences about them fit Goku to a T, I can only hope...

Wanting to play as a daedra is like wanting to play as a nix hound. Who would want that? Also, what do you mean by daedra? Would you wanna be a scamp?

Im sure you mean this obsession with playing a Dremora. Dremoras are not the only daedra, you know >_> Still, who would want to play as a demon slae of Mehrunes Dagon? What for? What would you do in Skyrim as a daedra monster? Kill everything? Sure, that sounds like fun...but as an extra, a mini game or a mod, not as the game itself.

Rant over.

The only thing I want to add to the new races discussion is that it would be awesome if we could play as the Ohmes-raht Khajiit, like in Daggerfall. These are supposedly the most common Khajiit found outside Elsweyr, but all the games since Morrowind show you only the Suthay-raht Khajiit. :S

From what I understand, the guys at Bethesda think of the races currently in the other Elder Scrolls games as the ONLY races in game. So this is about as likely to happen as Alduin actualy being a pink fluffy kitten. Sorry.

10 is a great amount. Very few games let you even choose a race. Let alone 10.

The Falmer?

Dwarves are Dwemer, the snow elves are Falmer. Or you might have just been suggesting Falmer as a choice to add, I don't know, just covering all the bases hehe.

i dont think deadra should be considered as an evil race, i see them as a race that consider themselfs misunderstood, they are just trying to survive

Daedra in Tamriel are usually only brought there for bad things. Dagon and his bunch tried to wipe Tamriel off the map (and nearly succeeded), and sorcerors summon Daedra to do their bidding. People would be right to be wary of a "Daedric Hero".

sure they like killing people, but so does everyone that play this types of games, so is everyone essentially evil?

do you think there should be more playable races than there were in oblivion? give your thoughts on this. if so what races do you want to be able to play as in TES: Skyrim? should there be more, less or the same amount? :tes:

I would love to get my hands on some of the lesser Daedra. . . but what are you going to do.

No not everyone. I'm simply saying that given the Oblivion crisis, people (NPCs) would be very cautious in their dealings with any daedra. Daedra and their motivations are difficult for ordinary mortals to understand, and people fear what they don't understand.

All true, though I would still love to play as a Dremora, or a male of the Mazkan or Aureal. At a distance, the latter two could probably fare better than many other Daedric Types. Until you got right up on them and noticed their eyes and just how much sheen there is to their colour, a Mazkan could slide as a very tall, very dark Dark Elf, and an Aureal could, again at a distance, get away as an Altmer. Only the well traveled, experienced, and mages would be able to identify them beyond doubt at any rate. And as such Daedra, even the Dremora, are often used as servants by mages, and even sent on errands (consider the message sent to by the Mages Guild to Hyronimus Lex in the Thieves Guild Quest), there is at least a fair chance that you would not be attacked on sight unless you started misbehaving.

Those Golden Saints(females) are just lovely! And fiesty too! Actually, now that I think about it, Aureals could probably pass for Altmer with a minimum of trouble. They are certainly arrogant enough!

No more races, thanks. If anything, concentrate first on creating different and unique gameplay styles for each one of the already avaliable ones. THEN we'd talk about including new ones.

This.

The existing 10 are plenty, maybe in 10 or 15 more games if they run out of ideas for fleshing those out more might be worthwhile.

(And all these people wanting playable Daedra races- sure, okay- but only if you can be summoned. :P )

It does make smile when people start talking about adding races. I mean, which other game series offers anywhere near the ten that we already have in Elder Scrolls lore?

I sometimes think that if the devs made 20 playable races, there'd be some people on here asking for 30.....

The lore people won’t allow this! TIS TREASON!!! O_O .... I do agree with them though :P

I rather see Beth improving on the races we already have than make new ones. I mean we have 10 different races, all unique yet not that much in play style. Sure they had different traits such as increased mana etc but there were no major differences in playing between say, an orc or an imperial. If they made players feel that they were really playing a certain race then I doupt anyone would need/ want any new races.

Its not lore friendly to add more playable races.
and before someone says "imperials and orcs," they are lore friendly. The imperials were always there, just never a playable race. As for the orsimer, they gained citizenship at the end of Daggerfall, and had a sizable population to allow playable race status.
