New player looking for mod help

Post » Tue May 14, 2013 5:07 am

This is the first time (believe it or not) that ive ever played morrowind and am keen to stick a lot of mods into it, especially graphical mods, overhauls and something that will give me 1080p (is this possible?) If you would be kind enough to suggest some good mods for morrowind which would fit my needs, it would be appreciated.

In terms of mod tools, whats everyone using? I heard wrye mash is the equivalent of bash for oblivion and skyrim ive found it here http://www.fliggerty.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=53&p=63053#p63053

is that the latest version? there is a version at the nexus http://morrowind.nexusmods.com/mods/27588/?tab=2&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D27588&pUp=1

but that looks older.

As for load order is there a BOSS for morrowind? and are there any other tools I would need?

Thanks for your time.

That's the stand alone version of Wrye Mash and it should be the latest version. WM isn't being worked on like Bash and Flash are unfortunately. :(

The overhaul Trancemaster linked to should get you started graphics and sound wise. We can provide other suggestions after you get it setup and running.

And welcome from me as well.

Neither of those links you mention are the latest for Wrye Mash and I mentioned the latest version http://www.fliggerty.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=85704#p85704.

No. BOSS (if you mean having the same features as for Oblivion or Skyrim) doesn't exist for Morrowind instead you need to use http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1398805-relz-mlox-a-tool-for-anolyzing-and-sorting-your-load-order/?hl=mlox to sort your loadorder.

You can use Python 2.7.x with Wrye Mash, so there is no need to change that. I'm using Python 2.7.3 I think and I don't have any problem when using Yacoby's Wrye Mash Stand Alone (latest).
