New Players in the wasteland...

Post » Wed Sep 28, 2011 11:25 am

Title and questions says it all.

Personally I am in favor of new factions/players. Im getting a bit sick of the old ones. We have been over them once too often in my book.

'eh. Factions don't just disappear. I liked that the Enclave were all but gone in New Vegas since they got defeated in Fallout 2. I LOVED that the NCR were in New Vegas, and that they kept the Caesar's Legion concept that they were working on before Bethesda bought Fallout.

And you can have new factions alongside old ones, it's not either or.

God yes, I don't think anyone would be against New Factions.

The Faction I want the most... The Mutant Liberation Army.

I would like to see the MWBoS back only because it has been so long since we have seen them.

Factions I don't want to see again are the Enclave. If we see Lyon's BoS again I don't want them playing the heros or having a main role in the game. Other then that there is nothing against old factions, but yes Fallout needs new ones.

I want to see new ones and old ones, how they react to one another and how they resolve it.

THEY DIED DAMN IT. DIED.

I have nothing against new factions but I also want some old factions making a return in order to establish canon from their earlier appearances and to have something connecting the new game to one (or several) of the old games.
So yes to new factions as long as it's mixed with a couple of old factions as well.

Namely the Legion/MWBoS... at least for me.

I want a harsh wasteland, not some carebear ponyland Capitial Wasteland world.

Oh god yes to Legion, I can't wait to see what they've changed into after New Vegas. (Hopefully they don't hit them to a bloody pulp with an 'lulz-evuhl!' stick. I'd rather they become a bit lighter shade of gray than they are now.)

Sadly, me neither, but they have to learn to, hopefully they'll get it a bit more right in Fallout 4.
The Pitt was good progress for them.

-This would be what I would be looking for too. Something were there are actually moral and ethical choises to be made. NV was ok , but really the DLC that nailed the desperation and the ugliness of the wastes was the Pitt.

I too would like to see the MWBoS and how they evolved. Legion... Not so much. Mostly because post Caesar I see legion lands fragmenting into smaller states.... something I see as a real danger for NCR too. Especially since NCR is stretched rather thin. I'd like to revisit the Shi as well but I think it would be rather hard to do story wise without having to rehash NCR again.

But really... as long as the world explores shades of gray... or at least realizes that there is a rainbow of colors between black and white, Ill be fine.
