New Posts Issue

Post » Fri Jan 09, 2009 5:50 am

Just a little issue here for reading new posts, when I click "View First Unread Post" or click into the thread, it doesn't mark the posts as read and still shows up as unread/new until I click "Mark topics read". Possibly only happening for some posts, I'm not entirely sure.

Also a suggestion, a button on the main forum page that directs you to a page with all the new unread posts since your last visit :) Thanks for the new forums guys!

Edit: Yes, it's only happening with some posts.

Just wait it out, it'll be fixed eventually. and besides the new board is more organized than the last.

For some who don't remember, here's a look of the old discussion board:

Naww, wasn't it cute?!

Thanks for the feedback guys. The team are aware of a number of bugs that they're working on getting fixed up.

Another bug that you might wish to avoid at the moment is if you Quote a post your reply won't come up at the end of the thread, it will show up underneath the post you quoted which puts everything out of order... so until we can get this bug fixed, it'd be better for everyone if you could avoid clicking on the "Quote" button on people's posts. You can copy/paste their text into a quote box in a new post without issue.

Few little bugs to iron out but alas, the functionality is here! :D
