You can even mix spells so that you can shoot ice and fire at the same time

Whoa Whoa Whoa. Do you think he is saying what I think he is saying? Or was it just a poorly constructed sentance?

I think we've known that for a long time. "Spellweaving"... Not all combos will work, but a lot will.

He's saying you can put a fire spell in one hand and an ice spell in the other and cast them both at once. Nothing new at all.

"In Skyrim you can actually have a different spell in each hand" ... "You can even mix spells so that you can shoot ice and fire at the same time."

Spell combining confirmed. nice find!

Edit: Okay that's not good enough to classify as "combining" for some people.

He wrote, "Mixing", thats what got me to think he was combining them. I am well aware of one spell in each hand thank you very much.

Pretty sure it's just misleading wording. I could be wrong, though.

Thanks for posting. Pretty sure you hit a foe for ice damage, and fire damage, without making a steam spell. Only two of the same spell will combine for greater effect. We will see.

Another cool thing that we were shown before closing out of the inventory was the quest book. You can actually flip the pages just like you would a real book

Looks like Bethesda are kind of using Morrowinds method again, which I preferred :)

It might be, I am not convinced either way. This obscure game website has yet to confirm anything for me.

Odd I double checked and I can open the link... if you cant open it just copy it and paste it into your adress bar that always works.

Nothing really new but good read regardless. 4 months and 23 days to go.

You make it seem so close.

Hopefully the last New Vegas DLC's will liven up the game enough to burn another month or two.

Like I said, I thought this was old news. Didn't we hear stories from Todd n gang about combining spell effects, things like Chain Lightning with the spell "Ironskin" to create a Reactive Shock Armor?

yeah but it was up in the air and people didn't know if it was confirmed or not. I am hoping to hear something about it soon or from the 30 min demo :D

I remember that pretty well, because it was the first time I started paying attention to the magic. In previous Elder Scrolls games, magic was just like a tool, but in Skyrim, it sounds like an actual game style. Something different on both a practical and tactical level. Combine that with no more soft-cap for Magicka, that always hurt me in Morrowind, because I have penchant for sticking with the Imperial.
