If Bethesda can come up with a good lore reason for a new Imperial citizen, and if the new race doesn't feel redundant when it comes to strengths and weaknesses, I have no objection.

However I also have no real interest in seeing new races in Elder Scrolls games.

New non-playable races; sure.

New playable races; no.

I voted no, but if Elder Scrolls 6 has something to do with the dwemer returning (recreated, or whatever) as the main quest/plot, I'm not going to say no to being able to play one in Elder Scrolls 7.

well they could do the ape people that try to look like high elves, but this won't be in the game, look for mods.

There are enough races already, new ones would be out of place. It's way too late for that any way.

Unless they can be explained lore-wise I do not want any new characters; the Elder Scrolls series has a vast selection of lore available and things like a new race cannot simply be dropped into it without a good explanation.

So, how would they put in new races without breaking the story and lore OR the backs of their design team considering all that stuff is already determined?

I didn't vote because the last time I voted in a yes/no poll (on this same question, as a matter of fact) the OP changed the questions order when he saw his preference was losing, changing yes to no and vice versa so that "yes" was suddenly in the lead. Not saying you're that kind of jerk, Antwon, but I no longer vote in yes/no polls out of principle. But I will say out loud "no, since it makes no sense and would be lore-breaking." To which aforesaid also replied "well only crazy nerds care about lore." On a forum filled full of dedicated fantasy nerds. Smaaaaaaaaaart.

Nah I would prefer Bethesda to flesh out the current races with lore than add a new playable one. And of course if they were to add a new one, it would have to be an already existing race that just isn't playable, adding a brand new race would be silly.

I like seeing different races that are not playable though, like Falmer in Skyrim, Imga in a Valenwood game, Different Khajiit sub-species in an Elsweyr game, I want to see Sload some day also.

I wouldn't mind if there was a quest in Skyrim to get the Falmer back on speaking terms with the rest of the empire. Then we could play as falmer in TES VI.

I would like to see the Imga or Sload, but not as a playable race, instead they will be like the last Dwermer from Morrowind.

Also maybe a few Dragon Ka Po' Tun, Kamal, Tang Mo, and or Tsaesci could have came from Akavir and are now mercs in Skyrim.

10 playable races is fine with me man i dont need anymore
tidbit
My old rpg used to be baldur's gate and Champions which only offered from 3 to 7 races. The 10 races is a happy medium for me.
