I heard they changed the racial traits a bit in PTS - is that true? what are the new ones?

Um, I know they changed Altmer, Dunmer, Khajiit, and Argonian. Not sure what else was changed.
For example, the altmer bonus to magic damage decreased while the dunmer's damage to fire increased(only helps fire where altmer bonuses all types)
Argonian got some stamina passive added to their swim speed I believe
Khajiit lost the crit damage bonus, but gained a few crit chance in return.
umm the two that come to mind is dark elf fire bonus dmg is 2%/4%/6% vs the high elf 1/2/3... and err, carnage got nerfed, now 6% crit bonus instead of 3% but lost the additional crit damage.
Argonian passive change was enough for me to play one again! Pretty happy as is what I prefer. The stam regen isn't massive but now simply makes the race viable for a variety of builds now as every build uses stam in some way and the +potion bonus can make up the difference. Was going to be an alchemist anyway and now will have to practice svcking back pots often to make up for the racial differences.
I'd still like to see the changes in notes however. I have only heard about the stamina change via the AMA and those devs can be terrible on how they word things.
Do people actually use stam?
I've been using that stuff keep my cup from putting rings on my coffee table.
"Coasters" was the answer we were looking for.
Sweet, so my Dunmer DK dual-wield will be doing even More fire damage? Happy times! Ardent Flame FTW!
If they wanted to make Argonians REALLY nice, they could have given them an ability like "1/2/3" more seconds of swimming before slaughterfish attack you... lol
I've been doing the dk fire mage, but that sounds fun too ^^ might haveta try that.
Yeah.. I could solo two levels higher during the betas. With full Heavy Armor, I'm hoping to finally have a decent damage dealing tank build. I'll balance health and stamina with my points, and get my magic through enchantments and such.
What' so cool with coasters? I use a little plate instead and I couldn't be happier.
What do you got against coasters???
A plate? That's just barbaric...
Such absurdity.
Barbaric is not caring, and enjoying the look of water mark circles on your desk.
Just my 2 cents but I'd love a Bosmer buff to bows since we basically invented them IDK I was thinking maybe crit or dmg or something nothing huge but like 1, 2, 3 % to bow crit or bow dmg 1/2/3%. Because honestly + EXP to any weapon seems like a really really lame stat for any racial and should be revamped, because everyones going to get it to max level eventually and what use is +exp at lv 50 sigh.
Agree ^^ Weap/armor exp bonus is a waste, like t**s on a boar.
And if you would use a damn coaster, there would be no water circles on your desk.
Yeah, my china coffee cup sits quite nicely on a little plate, using a coaster, now that would be an abomination. And when you're done, guess what? You can use the plate for a little snack, you can't do that with a coaster.
Well you didn't say it was fine china. Teacups, fancy coffee cups, or impossibly tiny espresso cups with matching decorative plates is an exception.
I was picturing something you'd put a ham sandwich on.
Ok the thread hijacking is getting out of hand.
Agreed, let us focus all our efforts on discussing the properties of coasters and small plates alike.
I'm currently sad the the Khajiiti were nerfed because of the jealousy the lesser races.
Certainly tends to happen when one racial is OP due to being broke. The bonus to crit damage worked for all damage types including magic and caused scaling issues. It also was never intended to be work with bow. It is still good but finally working as intended instead of broke/OP.
Yep, tough to even classify it as "nerf" when it is more of just changing how the bonus functions. I don't know the specifics but apparently unless you were stacking as much crit as possible (i.e., trying to abuse the scaling) then it is actually the same bonus in DPS, or actually an increase in lower crit builds.
